Vacuum-formed insulated van expansion capsules
An extension capsule for vehicles is provided, consisting of an inner and an outer capsule, both vacuum-formed from lightweight, durable materials. The inner capsule is designed to nest within the outer capsule, and when joined, they create an insulated, structurally reinforced unit. This assembly method enhances the strength and durability of the extension capsule without significantly increasing the vehicle's weight. The capsules feature outwardly-extending lips that facilitate secure attachment to the vehicle, effectively expanding the cargo area's lateral dimensions. The inclusion of an insulation layer between the capsules offers thermal regulation, making the space suitable for comfortable occupancy in various weather conditions. The lightweight construction of the capsules ensures ease of installation and contributes to the vehicle's overall fuel efficiency. This invention provides a practical solution for vehicle owners seeking additional insulated cargo space without compromising on vehicle performance.
Smart display sheets
A system may include at least one temperature control coil secured to a body of a vehicle in a position proximate a smart display sheet. The temperature control coil is configured to heat and/or cool the smart display sheet to maintain a temperature of the smart display sheet within an operating temperature range. Further, the system may include a control system configured to output instructions to control the temperature control coil.
Door armrest structure of vehicle
A door armrest structure of a vehicle includes: an armrest pivot rotatably coupled to the door internal panel and extending in a direction parallel to the door internal panel; a trim cover including a first end portion connected to the armrest pivot and operating to be rotated around the armrest pivot according to rotation of the armrest pivot; an armrest including an end portion attached to the trim cover and operating to deploy and return according to operation of the trim cover; a drive motor operating to rotate the armrest pivot according to an opening signal or a closing signal of the door; and a telescoping rod including first end portion connected to the drive motor and the other end portion passing through the armrest to be fixed to the trim cover, and moving back and forth to pivot the trim cover according to operation of the drive motor.
Arrangement for opening and closing an opening in an interior trim piece of a vehicle
An arrangement for opening and closing an opening in a covering surface of an interior trim piece in a vehicle that includes an adjustable cover element in the form of a flat element. The cover element is movably mounted on a frame element that is connected to the interior trim piece. A rotational or pivoting movement of two pivoted levers that are pivotably mounted in bearing cheeks of the frame element is converted into a translational movement of the cover element. The cover element is urged into a defined path by a shaft penetrating bearing blocks of the cover element and by two toothed wheels which are located at the free ends of the shaft and each of which meshes with a first rack located on the bearing cheek.
Sliding package tray cargo cover
A cargo area for a vehicle includes a load floor, a package tray, and a pair of cargo area side walls each comprising a package tray translating element including a vehicle-forward facing guide surface for translating the package tray between at least one deployed position at a spaced distance above the load floor and a stowed position on the load floor. Vehicle-forward upper and lower indents are disposed at spaced intervals along the vehicle-forward facing guide surface. A cooperating package tray retaining element includes vehicle-rearward upper and lower indents disposed on the cargo area side walls. A vehicle-forward edge of the package tray includes a follower element adapted for translating the package tray between the at least one deployed position and the stowed position. A vehicle-rearward edge of the package tray includes a retractable retaining element adapted to releasably and selectively engage the vehicle-rearward upper and lower indents.
Vehicle
A vehicle includes a floor panel, a battery module, an exhaust duct, and a carpet. The battery module is disposed inside a vehicle interior. The exhaust duct is provided on the floor panel to discharge air output from the battery module through the exhaust duct. The carpet is disposed on the floor panel so as to cover the exhaust duct. The carpet has ventilation holes such that air discharged from the exhaust duct is to pass through a space between the floor panel and the carpet and to be discharged into the vehicle interior through ventilation holes.
INTERIOR COMPONENT MOUNTING STRUCTURE
An interior component mounting structure for mounting an elongated interior component to an interior assembly includes a mounting portion and locking portions of the interior component and insertion holes and a fitting groove in the interior assembly. The mounting portion protrudes from a back surface of the interior component and extends along a longitudinal direction of the interior component. The locking portions protrude from a distal end of the mounting portion to be spaced at predefined intervals in the longitudinal direction of the interior component. The ends of the interior component are inserted into the insertion holes. The mounting portion is fitted into the fitting groove. The fitting groove includes locking holes in which the locking portions are held, respectively. The locking holes have a dimension measuring in the longitudinal direction of the interior component greater than a dimension of the locking portions measuring in the longitudinal direction of the interior component.
Modular rear side lining
A modular side lining for a motor vehicle includes a fastener, a first lining member including a first surface along an edge of the first lining member and at least one receiver for receiving the fastener, and a second lining member including a second surface along an edge of the second lining member. The second surface abuts the first surface to form a split line, and an extension extending from the second surface has at least one hole for receiving the fastener.
Harness protector
A harness protector is disposed on a side sill of a vehicle body to hold a harness routed along the side sill in a vehicle front-rear direction. The harness protector includes a housing disposed on an interior side of the side sill in a vehicle width direction and into which the harness is inserted, a fastening portion disposed above the side sill and to which a floor carpet covering the side sill and the housing is fastened, and a coupler that couples the housing and the fastening portion to each other.
