PROTECTIVE SHELL FOR PASSENGER VEHICLE DOOR
A protective shell protects an interior door panel of a vehicle having an inner face with a protruding door pull defining a door well for receiving a user's fingers and a door sill leading to a window opening. The protective shell has a deformable sheet of hard plastic with an exposed side and a reverse side, the reverse side being profiled to fit over the inner face of the vehicle door interior panel. An outwardly directed top surface portion rests on the door sill. A protrusion on the exposed side of the deformable sheet encloses the vehicle door pull. A locking well extends downwardly from an upper ledge of the door pull and is responsive to downward pressure on the upper ledge to fit snugly into the door well to hold the protective shell securely in position on the interior door panel.
Vehicle door assembly
A vehicle door assembly including a door panel. A support member is coupled to the door panel. The support member has an edge defining an opening in a top portion thereof. The support member defines at least one flange extending into the opening from the edge. A switch bezel is disposed at least partially within the opening. The switch bezel includes at least one retaining feature configured to slidably engage the at least one flange. A cover member coupled to a side portion of the support member.

Connecting structure for an actuator connected to an opening flap in an exterior trim component
A connecting structure for connecting an actuator to an opening flap for opening and closing an exterior trim component of a motor vehicle is disclosed, wherein the connecting structure has at least one carrier arrangement, which can be connected to the opening flap, and at least one connecting section arranged on the carrier arrangement, with which the opening flap can be connected to the actuator for moving the opening flap. The invention also relates to an exterior trim component with such a connecting structure and to a motor vehicle with such an exterior trim component.
Vehicle interior component and method of making a vehicle interior component
A vehicle interior component and method of making a vehicle interior component where a plurality of hollow stitch acceptance holes are formed in a component substrate to accommodate a stitch seam in a decorative covering that is attached to the component substrate. The stitch seam extends through the decorative covering to create filled stitch acceptance holes from the hollow stitch acceptance holes. The stitch seam can be created after an in-mold grain process in which the component substrate and decorative covering are laminated together.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FASTENING AND LOCATING ONE VEHICLE COMPONENT RELATIVE TO ANOTHER VEHICLE COMPONENT WITHOUT USING MECHANICAL FASTENERS
A system includes a first vehicle component and a second vehicle component. The first vehicle component includes a first panel, a T-shaped projection protruding from a mating surface of the first panel, and a locking projection protruding from the mating surface of the first panel. The second vehicle component includes a second panel and a pair of ramped ribs projecting from a non-mating surface of the second panel. The second panel defines a slot that extends through the non-mating surface thereof. The slot includes a first portion having a first width and a second portion having a second width that is less than the first width. The ramped ribs are disposed on opposite sides of the second portion of the slot. The first vehicle component is configured to be fastened to the second vehicle component and located relative to the second vehicle component.
Vehicle retrofit providing extended interior width
An accessory body panel includes a recessed feature. The body panel is mounted at the exterior surface of the vehicle body over an opening or hole formed in the vehicle body. The opening can correspond to an OEM window cut-out. The mounted body panel creates an indentation present at the interior side of the vehicle body, which effectively extends the available interior space in the lateral or transverse direction.
Door armrest
An armrest upper part covering an upper portion of an armrest lower part includes a front end portion adjacent to a switch finisher and an engagement claw portion extending from the front end portion. An upper part of the engagement claw portion is covered with the switch finisher. At the armrest lower part, a fixing portion for engagement with the engagement claw portion is provided. At a back surface of the switch finisher adjacent to a front of the armrest upper part and covering the upper portion of the armrest lower part, a restriction piece is provided at a position facing the fixing portion via the engagement claw portion. The restriction piece restricts detachment of the engagement claw portion from the fixing portion.
DOOR TRIM SECONDARY ATTACHMENT
A trim assembly of a vehicle includes a first component, a second component, and one or more primary retention elements attaching the first component to the second component. A secondary retention element is located at the first component. The secondary retention element is configured to engage the second component only in the event that the first component begins to move away from the second component to prevent release of the first component.
INTERIOR MEMBER FOR VEHICLE
This interior member for a vehicle is configured by causing an upper trim and a lower trim, which are vertically divided in two parts, to abut each other, a concave section having a bottom surface portion that is planar and inclined downward on an inner side in a vehicle width direction is formed in at least a part of the lower trim, and a tag is clamped by the bottom surface portion of the concave section and the upper trim.
