SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DYNAMICALLY LIGHTING A FLUID-RESISTANCE EXERCISE MACHINE
An illumination device for directing light into a transparent fluid tank of a fluid-resistance exercise machine is disclosed. The device can be coupled with an exterior surface of the tank and includes a light source oriented to project light through a surface and into a region of the fluid tank where the light can be observed by a user of the machine during operation, especially when a rotary device disturbs the fluid to generate the fluid resistance effect. The illumination device can include a control unit having a processor and a communication device, where the communication device receives an exercise-related parameter related during operation of the exercise machine. In response the control unit can dynamically adjust a quality of the light as a function of the received parameter, such as heartrate, output, resistance, time, distance, or speed.
Squat bar for fitness machine
A system comprising an exercise system having a resistance structure of an exercise bar connected to cables, which cables are connected to at least one pneumatic cylinder that creates resistance, wherein the resistance is adjusted by the user via actuators in the exercise bar, so that the user does not need to release the exercise bar to adjust the resistance. The system may be supported by a frame, and the pneumatic cylinder may be connected to an equalizing tank that may be housed within or integrated into the frame. The system may include a monitor to visually display system parameters and other information to the user. The system may calculate resistance and work done by the user by measuring piston displacement and speed, as well as using accelerometers or other devices integrated into the exercise bar.
Exercise apparatus and method
An exercise apparatus and method for working the hip muscles, in particular the glute muscle groups. Said exercise apparatus includes a low-profile chassis having a front portion and a rear portion, an elongated cross member having a pair of hip/lap cushions, a foot platform slidably mounted on the chassis, a shoulder/back support mounted on a support frame, a resistance member for loading the muscles of a user and a variable transmission adapted to act as a variable diameter pulley configured to reduce the input force required for a user to overcome the resistance member force.
Hip thrust exercise device
A hip thrust exercise device includes a main body; a foot mount connected to the first body portion; a grip connected to the second body portion; an extension hingedly connected to the main and an abutment element; and a resistance element connected between the extension and main body. The resistance element provides a resistance force when the abutment element is moved away from the first body portion.
