Breathing apparatus with means for regulating the inhalation and exhalation resistances
The invention relates to medical technology, to non-medicinal means for improving physical health and enhancing physical capabilities by means of a breathing system, and specifically relates to devices which are intended for inhaling hypoxic/hypercapnic mixtures having various compositions, and which have an adjustable resistance to inhalation/exhalation. According to a first variant, a breathing exerciser contains a first chamber, which is connected to means for connecting the exerciser to a user's respiratory tract; a second chamber, communicating with the first chamber; a third chamber, communicating with the second chamber; means for adjusting the composition of a breathing mixture; and means for adjusting the resistance to inhalation/exhalation, installed in a channel through which the first chamber and the second chamber communicate. The second chamber communicates with the atmosphere; the third chamber is elastic; means for regulating the composition of a breathing mixture are in the form of adjustable throttling devices installed in the channels through which the second chamber communicates with the third chamber and with the atmosphere; the means for adjusting the resistance to inhalation/exhalation are capable of separately and independently adjusting resistance to inhalation and resistance to exhalation. A second variant is characterized in that a first chamber communicates with a second chamber by means of two parallel channels, in that means for adjusting the resistance to inhalation/exhalation are installed in the parallel channels, and in that a breathing mixture is capable of passing through said channels in mutually opposite directions.
Mouth-opening training device having water-filled bag
A mouth-opening training device includes a water-filled bag having a zigzag edge or a sawtooth edge. By increasing or decreasing the amount of water located inside the water-filled bag to alter the total thickness of the water-filled bag, the device can accommodate different thickness of occlusion of teeth of a patient. The device can make a further improvement on layers of flavor in occlusion of the teeth. The device can further include a plurality of pivotable plate-shaped objects connected or coupled to the water-filled bag. The plate-shaped objects can provide different thickness combinations and further meet the user demands on thickness of occlusion of the teeth.

Exercise apparatus for performing a gluteal bridge movement
The present disclosure provides an exercise apparatus designed to allow a user to perform a gluteal bridge, typically with resistance, to improve the strength of the user's posterior hip and gluteal muscles. The exercise apparatus is configurable for use in different environmentsin a gym, fitness center or training facility, a spa or studio, or a home gym. The exercise apparatus includes a frame assembly, a bench assembly, and a resistance assembly. The bench assembly is pivotally connected to the frame assembly to provide an elevated pivot point about which the bench assembly pivots when the user performs the gluteal bridge movement. The resistance assembly is operably connected to the bench assembly and provides a resistance force that the user overcomes in order to pivotally move the bench through the gluteal bridge movement. The resistance assembly can include a cable, pulley and weight stack, or an elastically deformable band.
Multi function exercise apparatus with resistance mechanism
An exercise apparatus providing a User multiple different exercises, including both resistance movements and isometrics. The User interacts with the apparatus by grasping a bar. A resistance mechanism is symmetrically mounted on a second bar and provides infinitely variable resistance to the User, as well as soundproof operation. A vertical column allows infinite positioning of the bars for different exercises, and a bench provides support. The User can change the exercise resistance by verbal commands, or the apparatus can sense the torque applied by the user to the apparatus and vary the exercise resistance in response to the force applied by the User or the speed at which the user is moving the bar. The apparatus can be battery powered and operated at locations where electric service is unavailable, or in zero gravity. To verify accuracy, the resistance can be calibrated against a known quantity of weight.
Exercise machine adjustable resistance system and method
An exercise machine adjustable resistance system and method for efficiently varying the workout resistance for an exercise machine. The exercise machine generally includes a carriage movably positioned with respect to the at least one rail, a plurality of springs selectively connectable to the carriage to provide a resistance level to the carriage, a plurality of electrically actuated mechanical devices adapted to latch a corresponding one of the plurality of springs to the carriage when in the latch state and unlatch a corresponding one of the plurality of springs to the carriage when in the unlatch state and a control unit in communication with the plurality of electrically actuated mechanical devices to selectively control the state of each of the plurality of electrically actuated mechanical devices to be within the latch state or unlatch state.

Systems, methods, and apparatus for isometric, isokinetic, isotonic, and isodynamic exercise
Adapter devices that adapt hand exercise devices to permit the use thereof by persons of widely variable hand size, and permit the use thereof in exercises or tests other than the isometric exercises and tests for which they are known. The adapters provide replacement grips and couple force applied to those replacement grips to the handgrip surfaces of the hand exercise device. One version of the adapter includes a piston and cylinder connected to the replacement grips that move in a range of motion during a hand exercise or test, to allow for isotonic, isokinetic or isodynamic hand exercises. Other versions of the adapter use removable cams, screw cams, rotary cams, and sliding cams to adjust the distance between the grips for the size of the user's hand. A further adapter provides replacement grip surfaces sized for a user's finger and thumb for performing a pinch exercise or test.
SEMI-SUBMERSED FLOATING STRIKING EXERCISE DEVICE
A semi-submersed floating striking exercise device with a striking portion to be filled with water, a floatation portion at least partially above the striking portion, the floatation portion to be filled with air and an above-the-water portion to be filled with air, the above-the-water portion positioned above the floatation portion. The striking exercise device also includes at least one of a handle and/or an attachment device, at least one air inlet for inflating the floatation portion and the above-the-water portion, and a water inlet for filling the striking portion with water. The striking exercise device optionally includes a tether with a first end and a second end, and a tether harness to be worn on a user, wherein the first end of the tether is attachable to the semi-submersed floating striking exercise device and the second end of the tether is attachable to the tether harness.
PORTABLE DEVICES FOR EXERCISING MUSCLES IN THE ANKLE, FOOT, AND/OR LEG, AND RELATED METHODS
A portable exercise device includes a first body and a second body. The exercise device also includes a support structure pivotably connecting the first and second bodies. The support structure is configured to move between an engaged position and a disengaged position. The device also includes a resistance mechanism configured to resist movement of the first and second bodies toward one another when the support structure is in the engaged position. When the support structure is in the engaged position, the first body is positioned substantially parallel to the second body such that in a first open, in-use configuration of the device, the first body has a first neutral position relative to a pivot axis and in a second open, in-use configuration of the device, the second body has a second neutral position relative to the pivot axis.
