FINGER EXERCISING DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR THE TRAINING, WARMING UP, AND/OR REHABILITATION OF MUSCLES, TENDONS, AND PULLEYS OF THE PHALANGES AND METHOD OF DETERMINING ADHESION FOR CLIMBING
The invention relates to a finger exercising device and system, comprising a base (10), including at least one longitudinal guide (11), a carpal support (20), at least one distal phalangeal support (30) guided by the at least one longitudinal guide (11); at least one elastic element (40) configured to offer elastic resistance to the sliding of the at least one distal phalangeal support (30); wherein the carpal support (20) defines a concave carpal seating (21) between a sagittal carpal surface, mostly facing a sagittal direction (DS), and a longitudinal carpal surface, mostly facing a longitudinal direction (DL) perpendicular to the sagittal direction, which are adjacent to one another, forcing an arched, semi-arched, or extended grip of a hand between the concave carpal seating (21) and the concave distal phalangeal seating (31).
WEIGHT TRAINING APPARATUS
A weight training apparatus using hydraulics or pneumatics for applying positive and negative resistance closer to a user's maximum capacity throughout a lift is provided. The apparatus allows for weight training without weights. The apparatus may provide a more effective and safer mechanism for training than conventional techniques. An aerobic apparatus using hydraulics or pneumatics for a more realistic feel is also provided. Methods of using the devices are also provided.
WRIST AND FOREARM STRENGTHENING DEVICE
A wrist strengthening device includes a first handle, a second handle, and a tightening component in the form of a clamp configured to tighten around at least a portion of the first handle and at least a portion of the second handle. A sleeve is positioned radially between 1) the tightening component and 2) the at least a portion of the first handle and the at least a portion of the second handle. An interior member in the form of a rod extends from at or near an axial end of the first handle to at or near an axial end of the second handle. The device further includes a first end cap at the axial end of the first handle and a second cap at the axial end of the second handle. The wrist strengthening device is devoid of any spring component.
Oxygen trainer device
An oxygen trainer assembly for use in athletic activities to increase inspiratory muscular endurance includes a mouthpiece having a mouthpiece opening, a circulation chamber housing having a circulation chamber in fluid communication with the mouthpiece opening, a first endcap having a first endcap aperture, and a second endcap having a second endcap opening in fluid communication with the circulation chamber housing. The oxygen trainer assembly further includes a first endcap insert disposable in the first endcap operative to control the level of air resistance in the assembly during inhalation and exhalation and a one-way valve disposable in the second endcap sized and configured to allow the flow of air away from the circulation chamber during exhalation.
Oral device and method for the use thereof
An oral device includes an intraoral bolus simulator having an exterior surface and an interior volume fillable with a fluid. An extraoral user interface extends from the bolus simulator, and can be used to locate or position the intraoral bolus simulator. In various embodiments, the fluid may be a gas or a liquid, or combinations thereof. In other embodiments, an oral device includes an extraoral handle, a shield connected to the handle, a tether extending from the shield, and a bolus simulator connected to the tether.
Aquatic exercise device
An aquatic exercise device (100) includes a cuff strap (102) for fastening a plurality of fins (106) to a user's leg. The cuff strap (102) is configured to position the plurality of fins (102) to extend outwardly form an interior of the cuff strap (102) when the cuff strap (102) is fastened to an ankle area of the user's leg. The plurality of fins (106) provide resistance in a direction opposite to the direction of motion of the user's foot when the aquatic exercise device (100) is moved through water.
Bicycle trainer with roller speed sensor
A bicycle trainer includes a roller support assembly and a roller positioned about the roller support assembly wherein the roller includes an aperture. A fixing member is disposed in the aperture to secure the roller to the roller support assembly allowing rotation of the roller. An element capable of being sensed disposed in the aperture and a sensor is positioned within the trainer at a stationary location wherein the sensor is configured to sense the element and provide a signal indicative of rotation of the roller.
Devices for exercise apparatuses
A computing system for determining osteogenic loading from an exercise apparatus for performing an exercise is provided. The exercise apparatus includes a loading interface, a frame, a linear adjustment system interposing between and fixedly coupled to the loading interface and the frame, and a sensor coupled to the linear adjustment system. A position of the loading interface of the exercise apparatus is adjusted through a movement of the linear adjustment system at one or more intermediate positions of a plurality of functional positions of the loading interface. A force exerted by a subject on the loading interface at the position in the one or more intermediate positions is received. A measurement of the force exerted by the subject on the loading interface at the position in the one or more intermediate positions from the sensor is obtained. A corresponding osteogenic loading for the force exerted by the subject is determined.
