High temperature thermo-acoustic barrier material with low smoke and odor
A thermal barrier material for use in shielding components of a vehicle from hot exhaust surfaces includes 35 to 53% of a plurality of clays by weight and a remainder including magnesium silicate, alumina trihydrate, alumino-borosilicate glass, rock wool, basalt fiber, acrylamide copolymer coagulant, acrylic latex, fatty alcohol alkoxylate, or anionic polyacrylamide. A sample of the thermal barrier material, when exposed to a temperature of 400? Celsius, produces smoke having a density less than 5 g/cm.sup.3 as measured according to the ISO 5659-2:2006(E) standard.
Electrically driven vehicle
An electrically driven vehicle includes a floor panel, a tunnel section, an electrical storage device, and an electric power line. The tunnel section is formed in a vehicle forward/rearward direction in a central portion of the floor panel in a vehicle width direction. The electrical storage device is disposed behind the tunnel section of the vehicle above the floor panel. The electric power line is disposed below the tunnel section and connected to the electrical storage device. The tunnel section has an opening portion formed in a rear end portion of the tunnel section located in front of the electrical storage device of the vehicle and through which the electric power line is inserted.
Method for manufacturing a crash frame of a battery compartment for battery electric vehicles
The invention relates to a manufacturing method for a crash frame of a battery compartment for electric drive vehicles by using metallic sheets which are arranged on top of one another and fixed together and which form in a following step a space by using an inner active media forming process to create walls of a crash frame whereby the space works as a deformation space to protect the battery modules inside the battery compartment against an impact. The invention further relates to the use of the crash frame for a battery compartment.
SYSTEM FOR SOLAR HEATING MITIGATION
The roof of a vehicle includes a passive cooling layer overlaying an outward facing surface of the roof such that the layer is exposed to sunlight exterior to the vehicle. The layer includes a polymer having molecular structures with SiOSi linkages. The layer has relatively high emittance over a peak spectrum for solar heating.
Sun guard for dashboard-mounted mobile devices
A sun guard to protect a mobile device mounted attached to a mobile phone mounting device attached to a surface, the sun guard including a tubing to form a perimeter of a particular structural shape having a front portion, a rear portion, a top portion, a bottom portion, and side portions, such that the mobile device is disposed within the particular structural shape of the tubing, a protective covering to cover the rear portion, the top portion, and the side portions of the particular structural shape, such that the mobile device is shielded from the sun, and a rubber coating to coat bottom edges of the tubing to prevent the sun guard from slipping off the surface.
Vehicle
A vehicle includes a heat insulator in a form of a plate, the heat insulator covering an exhaust component of an internal combustion engine; and a wire harness disposed on a side of the heat insulator. An end edge among end edges of the heat insulator has a shape that is protruding and recessed in a plate thickness direction in a side view of the end edge, the end edge being located on a side of the wire harness.
ARRANGEMENT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE SENSOR DEVICE
An arrangement (1) is provided for holding of a motor vehicle sensor device (2) in a thermally exposed area near an exhaust system (5) of a motor vehicle. The motor vehicle sensor device (2) includes a sensor (10) and a holding device (3) having a receptacle (7), within which the sensor means is accommodated. The holding device (3) is fixed to an inner side (40) of an external paneling component (4) in the thermally exposed area. The motor vehicle sensor device (2) includes a cover (8), by means of which the receptacle (7) is covered on an interior side of the vehicle. The cover (8) is made of a thermally insulating material or has a thermally insulating coating.
PROTECTION DEVICE FOR VEHICLE ELECTRICAL COMPONENT
Provided is a protection device for a vehicle electrical component capable of preventing damage to a predetermined electrical component due to hitting by a battery, and also capable of reducing noise/vibration. The disclosure is a protection device which protects a starter in a vehicle in which a battery and the starter are disposed to face each other with a space therebetween in an engine room of the vehicle in which components constituting a power plant or a power train are supported by a vehicle body via a mount and a bracket. The skid block serving as the protection device includes bracket attachment portions attached to a transmission attachment portion of the bracket, and a skid block main body extending upward from the bracket attachment portions and gradually away from the bracket extension portion, and having a distal end portion positioned between the battery and the starter and facing the battery.
THERMALLY INSULATING PANEL FOR A VEHICLE
An engine system (200) for a vehicle comprising: a powertrain component (120); a second vehicle component (130); a fixing (140) joining the powertrain component (120) to the second vehicle component (130); a thermally insulating panel (100) comprising at least one uncompressed area (104) extending over at least a portion of the powertrain component (120) to at least partially thermally insulate the powertrain component (120) and comprising at least one pre-compressed area (106) for providing a rigid mounting position to mount the vehicle component (130) to the powertrain component (120), the rigid mounting position to be located at a potential thermal bridge between the powertrain component (120) and the second vehicle component (130) such that it forms a thermal insulating layer between the powertrain component (120) and the second vehicle component (130).
