The invention relates to a system for a land vehicle (100), in particular for a truck or a truck trailer. The system is attached to the lower surface of the vehicle so as to lie opposite the roadway surface at the rear portion of the truck and comprises at least one part which is inclined in the longitudinal direction and extends rearwards in a tapering manner towards the rear part of the vehicle (100). At least one element (2, 12, 22) is arranged between the roadway surface and the inclined wall (3) substantially at the end of the inclined wall (3) after the last axle of the vehicle, wherein the horizontal axis of the at least one element (2, 12, 22) has substantially the same inclination as the inclined wall (3).

No-drill, no-adhesive license plate mounting bracket

A bracket for holding a license plate to a vehicle having an air grille with vertical posts comprises a license plate frame. Two leg member are each fixed with a lower edge of the frame and terminate with an elongated foot that has a distal end that engages one of the vertical posts. The leg members each include an elongated arm that has a proximal end rotatably fixed with the leg member and a distal end that has a lateral slot for receiving the vertical post therein. During installation, the foot and the arm of the leg members are inserted into the air intake grille to engage one of the vertical posts, and the arm thereafter is rotated until the lateral slot engages the vertical post to secure the bracket to the vehicle. Each leg member further includes a lock for securing the arm from relative rotational movement.

The cord reel housing defines a receptacle that is sized to receive the cord reel. Each of the front wall and the rear wall has a series of apertures that correspond with mounting apertures for mounting a license plate to a vehicle, and the connecting sidewall has connection points for securing the cord reel within the receptacle.

A cord reel has a housing made from a first sidewall and a second sidewall that are detachable and form a spool-receiving cavity. A spool is disposed within the spool-receiving cavity of the housing. A first port is formed in the first side of the housing and a first length of cord extends from the housing via the first port. A second port is defined by cooperating recesses in the first sidewall and the second sidewall and a second length of cord that is wound around the spool retractably extends out of the second port. One or both of a side weather guard and a cord weather guard are installed to protect the cord reel against weather. The side weather guard is mounted to the first sidewall and covers the first port, and the cord weather guard is mounted between the first and second sidewalls to cover the second port.

A device for the automatic fitting of vehicle registration plates with data carriers. A plurality of work stations interlinked by at least one conveyor are provided for this purpose. The work stations are equipped with handling devices and associated imaging devices. As a result, a respective data carrier can be automatically gripped and placed in its precise position in the opening and prefixed there. The data carriers are then each cast automatically in the opening for the permanent fixation of the data carrier in the opening of the registration plate.
