VEHICLE FRAME COMPONENT
A vehicle frame component for limiting the movement of the wheel of the vehicle toward the cab of a cab on frame vehicle including a base member welded to openings in the frame side rail and extending outwardly and located proximal the wheel structure. In one embodiment the vehicle frame component is located forward of the wheel and includes a tire puncture device to deflate the tire during an offset front impact and in a second embodiment the vehicle frame component is located rearward of the wheel. The vehicle frame component has particular utility during an offset front impact where the offset is less than approximately twenty-five percent (25%) of the width of the vehicle.

RETRACTABLE PROTECTIVE BUMPER SYSTEM
A retractable bumper system including a bumper having an exterior surface and at least one retracting member moveable between a first position and second position, wherein in the first position, an outer surface of the at least one retracting member is flush with the exterior surface of the bumper and in the second position the at least one retracting member extends beyond the exterior surface of the bumper.
VEHICLE COLLISION IMPACT ATTENUATION APPARATUS
The present invention provides an impact attenuation apparatus mounted as a module on a frame of a vehicle, the impact attenuation apparatus including: a speed sensor configured to detect the driving speed of the vehicle; a distance sensor configured to measure the distance between the vehicle and an object in front of or behind the vehicle;
a collision detection and determination unit configured to determine the possibility of collision between the vehicle and the object based on information about the driving speed of the vehicle and the distance to the object; a buffer cylinder; a piston installed to be movable inside the buffer cylinder and connected to a bumper for shock absorption at the front thereof; and a gas generator installed inside the buffer cylinder at a position adjacent to the head of the piston in the rear of the buffer cylinder.

Dock bumper with integral lamp clearance
A cargo vehicle includes a cargo area configured to receive a load of cargo for transport, and a plurality of wheels configured to support the cargo area above a road surface while the plurality of wheels roll along the road surface. A rear structure of the cargo vehicle includes a rear cross member located at a rear edge of the cargo area, and a first light array is located in the rear cross member. A first dock bumper is placed directly over a first lamp of the first light array on a first lateral side of the rear cross member, the first dock bumper including a through hole accommodating the first lamp to visually mark a first outboard edge of the cargo vehicle.
MECHANISMS FOR CONNECTING STRUCTURES TO VEHICLES
A mechanism includes a first component, a second component and a biasing assembly. The first component and a second component are configured to attach a structure to a vehicle. The biasing assembly, which includes a biasing member, operatively connects the first component and the second component to one another. When a force is applied along a first direction on the first component, the biasing member biases the first component against the second component in a rest position to transfer the force from the first component to the second component. When the force is applied along a second direction on the first component, the second direction being opposite to the first direction, the biasing member absorbs at least a portion of the force in a loaded position.
DEFLECTOR DEVICES FOR OFF-ROAD VEHICLES AND RELATED METHODS
A deflector device for an off-road vehicle is provided, in particular, for off-road vehicles comprising a roll cage and a roof. The deflector device may comprise a deflector bar that angles upwards from the roll cage over a front edge of the roof such that any trees or branches that ride up the roll cage will be deflected away and prevented from embedding between the front edge and the roll cage. Related methods of preventing damage to off-road vehicles are also provided.
