The disclosed apparatus, systems and methods relate to a quick release grill guard further comprising at least one latching system configured for the quick release and pivot of the grill guard away from the vehicle grill face. In certain embodiments, the quick release grill guard further comprises a grill guard coupling portion, a vehicle coupling portion, a latching portion a hinge, a quick release bar; and a clasping member. In certain embodiments, the grill guard coupling portion is capable of being freely pivoted relative to the hinge by actuation of the clasping member by way of the quick release bar. In exemplary embodiments, the quick release bar is in operable communication with multiple latching systems so as to release the grill guard in a plurality of locations simultaneously.

Vehicle bumper assembly

Vehicle bumper assembly including a bumper body, a pair of lamp modules and one or more controllers. The bumper body is configured to be arranged at least partially across one of a front and rear end of the vehicle (not illustrated). The body defines opposed sides. The pair of lamp modules are mounted to the bumper body to be spaced from each other and towards one of the sides. Each lamp module includes one or more light emitting units arranged to extend at least partially across the lamp module. The, or each, controller is configured to operate one or both of the lamp modules to cause the one or more light emitting units to sequentially illuminate to indicate a turn direction of the vehicle.

Mounting assembly for vehicle bull bar

Presented herein are bull bar mounting assemblies, methods for making and methods for using such mounting assemblies, and vehicles with mounting assemblies affixing bull bars to the vehicle chassis. A bull bar mounting assembly includes an elongated chassis rail with a first longitudinal end attached to the vehicle chassis, and a second longitudinal end with a mounting plate for attaching to the bull bar device. An L-shaped flexible mounting bracket has a coupling base attached to the chassis rail adjacent to and spaced from the mounting plate, and a coupling flange projecting from the coupling base for attaching to the bull bar device and mounting plate. The flexible mounting bracket may expand from an undeformed state, where at the coupling flange is spaced from and unattached to the mounting plate, to a deformed state, whereat the coupling flange abuts and attaches to the mounting plate and bull bar device.

Torsion bar and lift assist for pivotally mounted vehicle bumpers incorporating same

A lift assist for a bumper pivotally mounted to a vehicle frame for movement between a normally closed upright position and a forwardly projecting open position. The bumper may be an animal protection bumper fitted to a heavy duty truck. The lift assist includes a torsion bar comprising a relatively short length of wire rope extending between first and second end fittings of the torsion bar, a first anchor assembly for securing the first end fitting to the bumper, and a second anchor assembly for securing the second end fitting to the vehicle frame. The second anchor assembly restrains rotational movement of the second end fitting when a torquing force is applied to the torsion bar, at the same time permitting contraction of the length of the wire rope when a torquing force is applied.
