REAR SEAT AIRBAG MODULE AND VEHICLE SEAT
A rear seat airbag module includes: an airbag; and an inflator configured to supply gas for expansion and deployment into the airbag. The rear seat airbag module is attached to a frame of a seat back of a vehicle seat, and is configured to expand and deploy the airbag to a seat rear side of the seat back. The rear seat airbag module is displaceable to the seat rear side or deformable to the seat rear side due to an easily deformable configuration, by being pressed by a back of an occupant seated on the vehicle seat, as a result of the back being sunk in the seat back due to an impact of a rear collision of a vehicle.
Occupant protective apparatus including an inflatable partition
In a shielding state, a partition extends from an upper portion to a lower portion of a cabin in such a manner as to partition a space between a pair of opposing vehicle seats. In the case where the partition is in the shielding state during a collision of a vehicle, the partition is inflated in a vehicle longitudinal direction by gas supplied from an inflator that is actuated when a collision detection sensor detects the collision of the vehicle. That is, since the partition is inflated in the space between the pair of the vehicle seats without interfering with the vehicle seats, the partition can reliably restrain an occupant who receives a collision load and is thereby displaced in the vehicle longitudinal direction from the vehicle seat. In this way, it is possible to easily secure a private space in the cabin and to improve occupant restraint performance.
Occupant protection system
An occupant protection system includes a seat disposed such that a rear surface of a seatback in a seat front-rear direction faces a wall portion of a vehicle cabin; an airbag provided in the wall portion or the seatback and configured to support the seatback by inflating and deploying between the wall portion and the seatback; and an inflator configured to generate gas to be supplied to the airbag in a case where a collision that causes an occupant seated in the seat to inertially move rearward in the seat front-rear direction is detected or predicted. The airbag has a vent hole through which the gas inside the airbag is discharged outside.
VEHICULAR SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG
A vehicular seat cushion airbag is disclosed. The seat cushion airbag includes a first cushion, which is mounted on a seat cushion of a vehicle so as to be expanded at the rear portion of a passenger's thigh, and a second cushion, which extends from the first cushion in an upward direction of a bolster portion of the seat cushion so as to be expanded toward the lateral side surface of the passenger's thigh, wherein the first cushion is expanded at the rear portion of the passenger's thigh so as to prevent forward movement of the passenger's pelvis, and the second cushion is expanded toward the lateral side surface of the passenger's thigh so as to prevent outward spreading of the passenger's legs.
Backrest of a vehicle seat
A vehicle seat for supporting an occupant in a vehicle. The vehicle seat includes a backrest and a headrest.
Occupant protection apparatus
An occupant protection apparatus includes a seat arrangement determination unit that determines the arrangement of seats and a collision determination unit that determines information about collision occurring to a vehicle. A deployment control unit deploys an airbag when the direction of the seat and the direction of the seat determined by the scat arrangement determination unit (94) are opposed to each other, and the direction of the collision determined by the collision determination unit is on the front side of the seat, or on the front side of the seat.
Vehicle seat structure
A vehicle seat structure that includes: a seatback that is provided at a seat rear side of a seat cushion so as to be able to tilt in a seat front-rear direction with respect to the seat cushion, and that can support an upper body of a vehicle occupant; a headrest that is provided at a side of the seatback, which side is opposite from a side at which the seat cushion is located, and that can support a head portion of the vehicle occupant; and shoulder restraining portions that are provided at the headrest or at the headrest side of the seatback, and that, by protruding out toward a vehicle occupant side at a time of an emergency of a vehicle, restrain both shoulders of the vehicle occupant in a case in which the vehicle occupant has moved along the seatback toward the headrest side.
Trailer hitch cover assembly
A trailer hitch cover assembly, which includes an inflatable object capable of withstanding about 2000 pounds per square inch internal pressure, a first attachment plate disposed within the inflatable object, a second attachment plate disposed in physical contact with but external to the inflatable object, a housing comprising a plurality of threaded apertures extending therethrough and dimensioned to be received by a trailer hitch receiver, where a corresponding plurality of threaded members are attached to the first attachment plate, extend outwardly from the first attachment plate through a surface of the inflatable object, extend through the second attachment plate, and intermesh with the plurality of threaded apertures.
OCCUPANT PROTECTIVE APPARATUS
System and method for rear collision avoidance
A collision avoidance system includes a sensor system and a control system. The control system includes at least one processing device. The control system is operable to receive sensor data from the sensor system. The control system is operable to generate acceleration data to prepare for an acceleration action of the subject vehicle. The control system is operable to generate steering data to prepare for a steering action of the subject vehicle. The control system is operable to perform operations to provide driving assistance to the subject vehicle if a driving control input is received after the control unit generates the acceleration data and the steering data. The control system is operable to control the subject vehicle in an autonomous driving mode if driving control input is not received after the control unit generates the acceleration data and the steering data.
