Vehicle flood detection
Method and apparatus are disclosed for vehicle flood detection. An example vehicle includes an engine, a humidity sensor, a GPS receiver to determine a vehicle location, a communication module, and a control module. The control module is to collect, via the humidity sensor, a humidity measurement within the engine and collect a humidity level of the vehicle location. The control module also is to identify a flooding event when the humidity measurement exceeds the humidity level by a predetermined threshold and record the flooding event with a remote server via the communication module.
Systems and methods for detecting water events in vehicles
Systems and methods of the present disclosure include a vehicle water detection system that includes a housing configured to be disposed within a vehicle. The vehicle water detection system also includes a water-activated battery disposed within the housing and configured to produce an electrical voltage upon contact with water. The vehicle water detection system further includes an electronic circuitry disposed within the housing and configured to detect a water event occurring in the vehicle based at least in part on the electrical voltage.
Seatbelt mounted combination cutter and glass break tool
A combination seat belt restraint system cutter and glass break tool mounted onto and around the seat belt of an automotive vehicle at a predetermined position for use in cutting the web of the seat belt in the event of a seat belt release latch jam or inoperability resulting in the severing of the seat belt at said position resulting in the tool being freed for use in breaking the glass of a window of the vehicle. The combination tool also being maintained in a fixed position adjacent the safety belt extension/retraction aperture by a strap.
ESCAPE SYSTEM FOR A SINKING CAR AND AN OPTOELECTRONIC COMPONENT THEREOF
An escape system for a sinking car and an optoelectronic component thereof are disclosed. The optoelectronic component includes a housing and an optoelectronic module. The escape system for a sinking car includes an optoelectronic component and a motherboard. A lighting unit of the escape system for a sinking car and an optoelectronic component thereof is installed on a car to emit light. After the car fell into water, by the characteristic that when light passes through a medium, the attenuation in light energy can be detected effectively because light is absorbed by that medium (such as liquid), the car sinking signal can be received and transmitted quickly, thereby actually taking the opportunities of rescue to reduce casualties.
ELECTRICITY SUPPLY RELAY CIRCUIT, SUB-BATTERY MODULE, AND POWER SOURCE SYSTEM
An electricity supply relay circuit for relaying electricity supplied from a sub-battery to a plurality of loads to which electricity is supplied from a main battery provided in a vehicle, the electricity supply relay circuit including: a plurality of switches corresponding to the loads; an electricity receiving wire connecting the switches to the sub-battery; a plurality of electricity supply wires corresponding to the loads via which electricity is supplied from the switches to the corresponding loads; and a control circuit that turns on the switches when a voltage of the main battery is lower than a predetermined first threshold.
Sensing the ingress of water into a vehicle
Systems, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to sensing ingress of water in a vehicle. In one embodiment, a method includes acquiring, from a radar of a vehicle, radar data about a passenger cabin of the vehicle. The method includes determining a current state of the passenger cabin according to the radar data. The method includes, responsive to identifying that the current state indicates an ingress of water into the passenger cabin, generating a response to the ingress of the water.
Escape system for a sinking car and an ultrasonic component thereof
An escape system for a sinking car and an ultrasonic component thereof are disclosed. The ultrasonic component includes a housing and an ultrasonic module. The escape system for a sinking car includes an ultrasonic component and a motherboard. An ultrasonic signal transmission unit of the escape system for a sinking car and an ultrasonic component thereof is installed on a car to emit an ultrasonic wave. After the car fell into water, by the characteristic that when an ultrasonic wave passes through a medium, the change in the speed of the ultrasonic wave can be detected effectively because the ultrasonic wave is accelerated due to the increase in the Stiffness of that medium (such as liquid), the car sinking signal can be received and transmitted quickly, thereby actually taking the opportunities of rescue to reduce casualties.
Emergency vehicular window-breaking device
The emergency vehicular window-breaking device includes a striker mechanism and a trigger. The emergency vehicular window-breaking device may be operable to shatter a window of a vehicle that has become at least partially submerged so that an occupant of the vehicle may escape. The emergency vehicular window-breaking device may be located within the vehicle where the striker mechanism may strike the window and the trigger may be exposed to rising water as the vehicle sinks. The striker mechanism may shatter the window glass after activation by the trigger. The trigger may activate the striker mechanism responsive to being submerged.
EMERGENCY SAFETY DEVICE FOR VEHICLES
A vehicle safety device designed for emergency situations where a vehicle becomes submerged in water includes a water tight housing with water sensors, an inlet valve operatively coupled to one of the sensors, and liquid flow channel. The device may be configured for being installed in the engine compartment of the vehicle. Upon detection of submersion, the device activates an interior lighting system, comprising LED light strips, to enhance visibility and reduce disorientation. Powered by a power source, such as solar panels or the vehicle's battery, the device aims to increase occupants' chances of survival and escape during underwater emergencies.
