Inertial resistance exercise apparatus
In an exercise apparatus resistance may be provide by the inertia of unsprung mass. The exercise apparatus may include a frame and dependently coupled foot support members movably connected to the frame. The foot support members carry a weight mass which may be adjusted to increase or decrease the unsprung mass providing inertial resistance to linear or arcuate acceleration.
EXERCISE MACHINE WITH LIFTING ARM
An exercise machine has a main frame and a user support movably mounted relative to the main frame for movement between a start position and an end position during an exercise. At least one user engagement device is movably mounted relative to the main frame for engagement and actuation by a user during an exercise, and a connecting linkage translates movement of the user engagement device to movement of the user support. A lifting arm is movably mounted relative to the main frame and associated with at least one of the user support, user engagement device, and connecting linkage so as to move during an exercise. A load associated with the lifting arm provides exercise resistance.
PEDAL-TYPE VIBRATIONAL APPARATUS
A pedal-type vibrational apparatus includes a seat body, a pedal assembly, a gear plate assembly, a drive assembly and an eccentric assembly, like a lever structure. By treading the pedal assembly, the gear plate assembly drives the drive assembly to rotate. The drive assembly is connected with the eccentric assembly. The user can fully exercise the muscles of the body during exercise, and the vibrational effect generated by the eccentric assembly can stimulate the acupuncture points of the body to improve the blood circulation. The left and right pedals can be treaded in turn to continuously drive a gear to rotate in the same direction so as to achieve the effect of acceleration and to enhance vibrations.
Exercise machine with pancake motor
An exercise machine is disclosed. The exercise machine comprises a pancake motor. The exercise machine comprises a torque controller coupled to the pancake motor. The exercise machine comprises a high resolution encoder coupled to the pancake motor.
ADJUSTABLE EXERCISE APPARATUS
Disclosed herein are various embodiments of an exercise apparatus. In certain embodiments, an exercise apparatus comprises a frame and a seat assembly, the seat assembly comprising a seat, the seat configured to move between a first position and a second position, wherein the first position accommodates use of the exercise apparatus by a user sitting on the seat and wherein the second position accommodates use of the exercise apparatus by a user sitting in a wheelchair. The seat assembly may be pivotably coupled to the frame. The seat assembly may comprise a stop configured to inhibit movement of the seat, and may further comprise a biasing element that is biased to disengage the stop.
APPARATUS FOR PHYSICAL EXERCISE
An apparatus for physical exercise comprising a resistance arrangement having at least one hydraulic cylinder adapted for providing resistance forces in at least a first and a second direction, the apparatus having a force transmission assembly through which the resistance forces are operable. The force transmission assembly having at least one actuation member being in operable engagement therewith and being adapted to transfer forces generated by a user in at least two directions of motion to the at least one hydraulic cylinder via the force transmission assembly. The resistance forces created by the at least one hydraulic cylinder opposing the user generated forces.
Permanent magnet resistance simulation device
The permanent magnet resistance simulation device includes: a base; a motor arranged on the base and having a torque output shaft, and having a torque data encoder and a rotational speed controller; a transmission shaft arranged on the base and coaxial with the torque output shaft, and is equipped with a motion data encoder; a pair of flywheels, coupled to the torque output shaft and the transmission shaft, and the pair of flywheels are coupled with a magnet and a magnetic surface; a rope reel arranged on the transmission shaft and is twined with a rope, and a one way clutch is arranged between the rope reel and the transmission shaft; a volute spring arranged on the transmission shaft; and a control system.
EXERCISE MACHINE WITH PANCAKE MOTOR
An exercise machine is disclosed. The exercise machine comprises a frame, a first motor, a second motor, a first slider, and a second slider. The frame includes a front side and a back side. A longitudinal axis of the first motor passes through the front side and the back side of the frame. The first motor drives a first cable and the second motor drives a second cable. The first slider positions the first cable and the second slider positions the second cable.
Repetition phase detection
Controlling an exercise machine includes receiving a stream of measurements of extension of a component of an exercise machine. It further includes detecting a first phase of a repeated motion. It further includes detecting a transition to a second phase of the repeated motion. A time constraint is applied to the detection of the transition to the second phase of the repeated motion. It further includes controlling a resistance associated with the second phase of the repeated motion.
Pneumatic joint separator for lower body alignment
A leg muscle, abdominal muscle, and spinal exercise device adapted for imparting curvature to a lumbar or sacral spine of a user and for manipulating the spine and intervertebral discs with decompression force includes a frame for placement on a floor. The frame has a top surface and a bottom surface, wherein the top surface and bottom surface are in a spaced apart relationship forming a hollow portion there between. At least one inflatable bladder is carried by the top surface of the frame. A body strap attachment passes through the frame in non-fixed relationship and is partially disposed within the hollow portion for encompassing the user's thoracic-sacral spinal region and securing said frame. An elongate stirrup strap member is attachable to the body strap attachment thereby connecting to the user's spinal region. A stirrup is attachable to the stirrup strap member distal end.
