The present disclosure provides one example of an easy chair in light of market trends related to health and fitness. The easy chair of the present disclosure includes a movable portion configured to change a seated posture, and further includes a moving mechanism that includes at least an electric actuator and is configured to displace the movable portion, and a controller configured to control an operation of the electric actuator and perform a posture change mode and a muscle strength training mode.

Exercise device with controllable training modes
11801412 · 2023-10-31 · ·

An exercise device with controllable training modes includes a base, a first exercise mechanism, a second exercise mechanism, and an operating mechanism. The first exercise mechanism has a first gear member. The second exercise mechanism has a second gear member. The operating mechanism has a third gear member. When the third gear member is at a first position, the third gear member meshes with the first gear member and the second gear member to form a linked state, so that the first exercise mechanism and the second exercise mechanism are operatively linked and coupled and swing in opposite directions. When the third gear member is at a second position, the third gear member is disengaged from either the first gear member or the second gear member or both to form a free state, so that the first exercise mechanism and the second exercise mechanism individually swing.

EXERCISE MACHINE WITH A VERTICALLY PIVOTABLE ARM
20220226687 · 2022-07-21 ·

An exercise machine is disclosed. The exercise machine comprises a motor, an actuator, a vertically pivotable arm, and a cable. A position of the vertically pivotable arm is able to be locked at least in part by using a component including one or more teeth. The vertically pivotable arm includes a release component. The cable is coupled between the actuator and the motor through the vertically pivotable arm. The motor facilitates strength training at least in part by generating resistance such that a force on the actuator corresponds to a specified weight.

BI-DIRECTIONAL EXERCISE MACHINES

A bi-directional exercise machine has a work arm, first and second cams coupled to the work arm, a resistance mechanism, and a pulley assembly that couples the resistance mechanism to the work arm via the first and second cams so that movement of the work arm is resisted by the resistance mechanism according to first and second resistance profiles provided by the first and second cams, respectfully. The pulley assembly has a primary pulley cable having a first end coupled to the first cam and a second end coupled to the second cam. When the work arm is in a rest position the first and second ends of the primary pulley cable both extend from cable tracks of the first and second cams, respectively, at a tangent, and in particular so that the resistance mechanism applies a resistance force on the work arm via the pulley assembly immediately upon movement of the work arm out of the rest position.

Method and apparatus for augmented locomotion

Provided are apparatuses for augmenting human speed, human-driven compliant mechanisms, artificial limbs to augment human movement, and the like. The apparatuses can include variable stiffness mechanisms including springs that can be configured to selectively store and subsequently release energy generated by human movement. The apparatuses can selectively release the captured energy supplied by the human to provide force and power output beyond the physical capability of the human.

Training apparatus

A training apparatus for the simulation of rowing training includes a rolling seat to be moved linearly back and forth on a guide on a frame. Two handles which can be rotated independently of one another are mounted on an oarlock shaft. The oarlock shafts are connected to a drive mechanism in a force-flow connection. Upon introduction of force to the handles, power is output to a braking device via a drive mechanism, which has a freewheel between the oarlock shafts and the braking device. Upon actuation of the handles in a first direction about the axis of the respective rowlock shafts, power is transmitted to the braking device, and, upon actuation of the handles in the opposite direction the handles return without power being transmitted to the braking device.

Exercise machine enhancements

An exercise machine is disclosed. The exercise machine comprises a tension generating device. The exercise machine comprises a translatable arm mount coupled to the tension generating device. The exercise machine comprises an arm coupled to the translatable arm mount. The exercise machine comprises a cable coupled to the tension generating device via the arm.

PEDAL EXERCISER
20220096895 · 2022-03-31 · ·

A pedal exerciser includes a worm shaft meshed with a worm wheel. A crank drives rotation of the worm wheel through two pedals. A rotary disc assembly is journaled to and rotatable with the worm shaft. The rotary disc assembly has a conductive member that is non-magnetizable and that is rotatable around an axis of the worm shaft. A magnetic assembly is disposed near the conductive member and has a magnet facing the conductive member. The magnet produces a drag force to resist an exercising force when the conductive member is rotated to move past the magnet. An adjustment assembly moves the magnetic assembly toward or away from the rotary disc assembly to vary the magnitude of the drag force.

WALL MOUNTED EXERCISE MACHINE
20220062680 · 2022-03-03 ·

An exercise machine is disclosed. The exercise machine comprises a frame, a first motor, a second motor, a first arm, and a second arm. The frame includes a front side and a back side. A longitudinal axis of the first motor passes through the front side and the back side of the frame. The first motor drives a first cable and the second motor drives a second cable. The first arm positions the first cable and the second arm positions the second cable. The frame is capable of being wall mounted.
