Off-highway recreational vehicle
A vehicle configuration wherein the center of mass of the vehicle is approximately superimposed upon the passenger and driver centers of mass when seated within the vehicle. An occupant's center of mass can be approximated using a standard center of mass position approximation, or a combination of any number of standard center of mass position approximations. The vehicle's center of mass can be approximately superimposed upon the occupant's center of mass in at least the longitudinal and vertical directions.
REAR SEAT SIDE AIRBAG DEVICE
A rear seat side airbag device includes: a case that is provided at a vehicle rear side of a cabin-side wall portion, a plate thickness direction of which is a substantially vehicle longitudinal direction, of a seat side garnish disposed between a vehicle side portion and a seatback of a rear seat, that has an opening portion that opens toward the cabin-side wall portion, and that houses an airbag module main body; an airbag door that covers the opening portion, and that is surrounded by a tear portion and a hinge portion that are formed at regions corresponding to the opening portion; and a spacer that is provided at the airbag door and projects out into the case.
SAFETY AIRBAG
A safety airbag, comprising: an airbag (2) having a side air curtain (21) and a front air bag (22); an gas-guiding bag (3), which guides gas generated from a gas generator (4) into the airbag (2); and a backflow prevention assembly (7), which is connected to the gas-guiding bag (3) and which may prevent the gas in the front air bag (22) from flowing back to the side air curtain (21) when the front air bag (22) is extruded. The safety airbag may protect a occupant's head and effectively lessen the impact on the head or neck of the occupant.
OFF-HIGHWAY RECREATIONAL VEHICLE
A recreational off-highway vehicle includes side-by-side passenger and driver seats held within a chassis that is approximately 50 inches wide. The seats sit low in the chassis and are covered by a roll cage. Grab handles are positioned on the sides of the passenger seat. Select large round tubing protects the vehicle, while rectangular tubing frames the portions of the vehicle beneath body panels. The vehicle is powered by an engine rearward of the seats that is connected to a transaxle. The engine and transaxle are isolation mounted together with a portion of the air intake assembly. The vehicle is suited for rough terrain travel.
VEHICLE ENERGY ABSORBER
A system includes a seat. The system includes an airbag supported by the seat. The airbag is inflatable to an inflated position. The airbag includes an inflation chamber and a panel adjacent to the inflation chamber defining a concave impact surface in the inflated position. The system includes a tether having a first end attached to a side of the airbag and a second end attached to the panel. The inflation chamber is beneath the concave impact surface in the inflated position.
VEHICLE AIRBAG SYSTEM
An airbag system includes a seat back having a first location and a second location spaced from the first location. The airbag system includes a housing pivotally supported by the seat back at the first location. The airbag system includes a linear actuator including a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The first end is fixed to the seat back at the second location. The second end is fixed to the housing.
VEHICLE SEAT ARRANGEMENTS FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
It is provided a vehicle seat arrangement for a motor vehicle, comprising a vehicle seat; an inflatable device which is arranged on the vehicle seat for protecting a vehicle occupant located on the vehicle seat; an inflating means for inflating the inflatable device, wherein the inflatable device has at least one inflatable chamber and is designed and arranged in such a manner that the vehicle occupant receives an impulse by the chamber expanding after the inflating means is triggered. The inflatable device is connected to the vehicle seat via at least two connecting regions of a connecting plane of the vehicle seat in such a manner that, after the triggering of the inflating means, the expansion of the chamber substantially takes place only in a single expansion direction obliquely or perpendicularly to the connecting plane.
SEAT WITH AIRBAG
A seat includes a seat bottom and a seatback coupled to the seat bottom. The seatback includes a headrest and a front face facing the seat bottom. The seat includes an airbag inflatable from an undeployed position to a deployed position. The airbag in the undeployed position is supported by the front face above the headrest. The seat includes a tether extending from the seatback to the airbag.
AIR BAG APPARATUS
An air bag apparatus includes: an inflator that generates a gas when an impact is input; and a bag body that is supplied with the gas from the inflator and that is inflated and expanded from a seatback of a vehicle seat. The bag body includes: a trunk support part that is expanded to an opposite side of the seatback so as to support a trunk of an occupant who is seated on the vehicle seat; and a pair of head support parts each of which is expanded to each of both sides in a width direction of the vehicle seat so as to support a head part of the occupant and that is connected to the trunk support part. An escape part that penetrates in a vertical direction between the pair of head support parts and that avoids the head part of the occupant in an expansion state is formed on the bag body.
Airbag device
Provided is an airbag device that is to be mounted in a vehicle, and includes: an inflator configured to generate a gas; an airbag configured to be inflated with the gas generated by the inflator; a holding member housing the airbag in a folded state and being provided with an opening which allows inflation and deployment of the airbag therethrough; and a flap configured to restrict inflation and deployment of the airbag through the opening, the airbag including a roll folded portion being roll-folded and disposed on an occupant side, and two flip folded portions each being accordion-folded or tucked inside and disposed on a vehicle front side, the flap including a first restricting portion covering the roll folded portion and being held between the roll folded portion and the holding member, and a second restricting portion being secured to the airbag between the two flip folded portions.
