Theme park gamification, guest tracking and access control system
11443575 · 2022-09-13 ·

A system for providing gamification of a destination such as a theme park where guests use a venue app with an optional electronic ticket that allows for both self-serve access into the destination and tracking of individual guests throughout various access points. An extended range ID such as an RFID is provided to the guest either in the electronic ticket or in a wearable. Using combinations of RFID readers, pressure sensors and cameras the system tracks guests down the ride seat and tracks the movements of guided, free-floating and free-ranging vehicles. Using the combination of guest and vehicle tracking information along with information provided by a destination gaming system, the destination guest experience is customized including various effects for rides and attractions. Spot cameras are placed at tracked locations such as rides seats, where images are captured in response to either external triggers generated by the system or guest indications.

Systems and methods for deterring guest evacuations

Systems and methods presented herein include an evacuation deterrence system that includes a vehicle having a member configured to deter evacuation of passengers from the vehicle. The evacuation deterrence system also includes an evacuation deterrence device configured to latch onto the member of the vehicle. The evacuation deterrence device includes an elongated main body, a handle portion, a latch mechanism configured to latch onto the member of the vehicle, an actuation mechanism configured to actuate the latch mechanism, and a positioning mechanism configured to fix a first location of the elongated main body relative to the vehicle. The elongated main body is configured to be extended relative to the vehicle when the first location of the elongated main body is fixed relative to the vehicle via the positioning mechanism.

Vehicle engine mounting

A vehicle configuration wherein the center of mass of the vehicle is approximately superimposed upon the passenger and driver centers of mass when seated within the vehicle. An occupant's center of mass can be approximated using a standard center of mass position approximation, or a combination of any number of standard center of mass position approximations. The vehicle's center of mass can be approximately superimposed upon the occupant's center of mass in at least the longitudinal and vertical directions.

Passenger restraint system for roller coasters

A passenger restraint system for roller coasters, designed to maintain a passenger in an essentially upright posture, the passenger restraint system including a fixed column and a seat column designed to support and hold the passenger, which seat column is coupled to the fixed column so as to be movable relative to the fixed column and to be adjustable to the size of the passenger during an embarkation phase. The seat column is coupled to the fixed column by an articulated linkage, and the passenger restraint system further includes a device for balancing the seat column, which balancing device includes a cylinder fixed, at a first articulated end, to the fixed column and, at a second articulated end, to the seat column.

Amusement device seat assembly including leg locking device

An amusement device seat assembly includes a seat to allow a passenger to sit. A leg space is provided under a seat base for holding a left and right leg of the passenger. The seat assembly includes a leg locking device for retaining an in the leg space introduced lower leg of the passenger. The leg locking device includes a central mount for preventing a laterally inwardly directed movement of a leg. A lateral mount prevents a forwardly directed movement of the lower leg. A bracket which may be operatable by the passenger himself is movable to provide an open or closed configuration of the leg locking device. In the closed configuration, an outer bracket extension prevents a laterally outwardly directed movement of a leg of a passenger. Advantageously, an intuitively working leg locking device is provided which contributes to a high level of operational reliability.
