A state detection sensor includes a housing and a position sensing component mounted in the housing. The position sensing component is being configured to provide position data in response to detecting the presence or position of vehicle structure relative to the sensor. The state detection sensor also includes an analog input component mounted in the housing. The analog input component is configured to provide external analog sensor data in response to an analog signal received from an external analog sensor to which the analog input component can be operatively connected. The state detection sensor further includes a component configured to communicate the position data and the external analog sensor data via a serial bus.
Collision diagnosis for a traffic event
A collision diagnosis (12) is generated for a traffic event involving a vehicle, by receiving an output from a self-capacitance sensor (6) having a single electrode comprising at least part of the bodywork of the vehicle (3) and comparing the received output with at least one threshold (8) to generate provisional collision detection data (9). The provisional collision detection data (9) is correlated with further data (11) relating to the traffic event to produce correlation data and the collision diagnosis (12) is generated on the basis of the correlation data.

The disclosure provides an installation structure and a vehicle having the installation structure. The installation structure is disposed in a vehicle and configured to install a controller, including: a floor panel, constituting a lower portion of a vehicle body of the vehicle; a floor channel, disposed in the floor panel, located at a center in a width direction of the vehicle, extending along a front-to-back direction of the vehicle, and protruding on an upside of the vehicle; a pair of brackets, connected to a corner formed by a side surface and an upper surface of the floor channel; an insulator, configured to cover the floor panel and the brackets; a carpet, disposed on the insulator; and a bracket protrusion, separated from the upper surface of the floor channel and fixing the controller on the bracket protrusion.
Vehicle safety system with smart state detection sensors
A state detection sensor includes a housing and a position sensing component mounted in the housing. The position sensing component is being configured to provide position data in response to detecting the presence or position of vehicle structure relative to the sensor. The state detection sensor also includes an analog input component mounted in the housing. The analog input component is configured to provide external analog sensor data in response to an analog signal received from an external analog sensor to which the analog input component can be operatively connected. The state detection sensor further includes a component configured to communicate the position data and the external analog sensor data via a serial bus.

A transportation apparatus includes an external detection device configured to detect an object. The external detection device includes: an irradiation surface; and an adjustment portion for adjusting an angle of the irradiation surface, the adjustment portion is adjustable from a hole portion provided in the transportation apparatus, and the hole portion is offset with respect to the adjustment portion and the irradiation surface.
HOOK AND SNAP PRESSURE SENSOR ASSEMBLY
An apparatus includes a cover assembly, a gasket, and a housing assembly. The cover assembly generally has a hook feature and a first locking feature. The hook feature generally has a first passage in communication with an exterior of the apparatus. The gasket is generally mounted on the cover assembly and has (i) a first sealing region, (ii) a second sealing region, and (iii) a second passage in communication with the first passage. The housing assembly generally has a sealing feature, a second locking feature, and a first cavity configured to hold a sensor. The sealing feature generally mates with the first sealing region of the gasket. The sensor (a) generally seals to the second sealing region of the gasket and (b) may be in communication with the exterior of the apparatus through the first passage and the second passage. The first locking feature of the cover assembly generally cooperates with the second locking feature of the housing assembly to lock the cover assembly to the housing assembly.
