Marking object arrangeable at a child seat for adaptive actuation of an airbag, method to determine a position and/or orientation of a child seat relative to a car seat and computer program for adaptive actuation of an airbag
The invention relates to a marking object that can be placed on a vehicle child seat for adaptive actuation of an airbag, which is configured to reflect electromagnetic radiation and mark a position and/or orientation of the vehicle child seat in relation to a vehicle seat for an imaging sensor based on the reflection, in order to actuate the airbag depending on the position and/or orientation of the vehicle child seat, wherein the marking object is a Quick Response code, radar reflector, lidar reflector, or infrared reflector. The invention also relates to a vehicle child seat, a method for determining a position and/or orientation of a vehicle child seat in relation to a vehicle seat, and interior monitoring system, a computer program for adaptive actuation of an airbag and a computer readable data carrier.
System and method for detecting improper posture of an occupant using a seatbelt restraint system
A system for determining when an occupant in a motor vehicle seat and restrained by a seatbelt restraint system has improper posture. The system and method include: a seatbelt buckle sensor, a seatbelt payout sensor, an occupant posture sensor. Moreover, a control module executes code to: determine the presence of the seatbelt latchplate in the seatbelt buckle, determine whether the difference between the first seatbelt payout length when the seatbelt is buckled and the second seatbelt payout length is greater than a seatbelt payout length threshold, compare the image of the occupant to at least one of a stored image and a posture zone when the seatbelt payout length threshold is exceeded, and determine whether the occupant has improper posture based on the comparison of the captured image of the occupant and the at least one of the stored image and the posture zone.
Vehicular detector and vehicular detection system
A detector includes a first flexible sheet, a second flexible sheet placed opposite to the first flexible sheet, and an insulation sheet intervening between them. The first flexible sheet includes a second antenna unit and first contact portions formed on a first opposing surface. The second flexible sheet includes a detection unit and second contact portions formed on a second opposing surface. The first contact portions and the second contact portions become a state of contact by an external force based on the seating of an occupant, cause the second antenna unit to output a transmission signal to the detection unit, and cause the detection unit to output a detection signal to the second antenna unit.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ADJUSTMENT OF VEHICLE SUB-SYSTEMS BASED ON MONITORING OF VEHICLE OCCUPANT(S)
There is provided a system for generating instructions for adjustment of vehicle sub-system(s) according to an analysis of a computed six degrees of freedom (6 DOF) of vehicle occupant(s), comprising: hardware processor(s), and a non-transitory memory having stored thereon a code for execution by the at least one hardware processor, the code comprising instructions for: obtaining at least one image of a cabin of a vehicle captured by an image sensor, obtaining depth data from a depth sensor that senses the cabin of the vehicle, wherein the at least one image and the depth data depict at least one head of at least one occupant, computing 6 DOF for the at least one head according to the at least one image and depth data, and generating instructions for adjustment of at least one vehicle sub-system according to the computed 6 DOF of the at least one vehicle occupant.
