Deployable passenger enclosure
Aspects of the disclosure relate to deployable structures, such as airbag systems, for vehicles. A system is disclosed for reducing likelihood of injury to a passenger in a collision. The system may include a seat configured to accommodate the passenger and an airbag system. At least a portion of the airbag system may be incorporated into a vehicle prior to deployment of the airbag system. The airbag system may include an airbag and a locking feature. The locking feature may be configured to lock the airbag with a locking portion of a vehicle when the airbag system has been deployed. The locking feature may be attached to the airbag. Aside from airbags, other confining structures, such as nets, shades, curtains, etc., may also be used as deployable structures.
VEHICLE CABIN PARTITIONING DEVICE
A partition provided between a pair of vehicle seats arranged to face each other in a vehicle cabin is provided to extend from an upper part to a lower part of the vehicle cabin in a partitioning state. Therefore, the partition in the partitioning state can block respective visual lines of occupants seated in the pair of vehicle seats. Since the partition in the non-partitioning state is accommodated in a predetermined position, by setting the partition to the non-partitioning state when the occupant is seated on only one side of the pair of vehicle seats or the like, the occupant can obtain a feeling of openness. The partition can be selectively switched between the partitioning state and the non-partitioning state by an operation switch. Accordingly, it is possible to secure a private space for allowing the occupant to have a comfortable state or a relaxed state inside the vehicle cabin.
AIRBAG SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE AIRBAG SYSTEM
A safety device for a vehicle adapted to be arranged facing an airbag, the safety device including: a channel suitable for guiding the airbag, the channel delimiting a central opening for deployment of the airbag, a panel at least partially covering the central opening when the airbag is in an uninflated state, and a net having a first plane-portion being entrapped in the channel and a second plane-portion being entrapped in the panel. The net further includes a third portion extending between the first plane-portion and the second plane-portion, at least a part of the third-portion being entrapped in a receiving portion of the channel, wherein the receiving portion includes at least a portion of reduced thickness.
Sanitary retractable barrier system
Sanitary barrier systems and methods for preventing transmission of biological substances and protecting human health are provided. A retractable barrier system may include a first supporting member and a barrier film. The first supporting member may comprise a first attachment element configured to position the barrier system vertically in use. The barrier film may have a fixed edge and a free edge, wherein the fixed edge is connected to the first supporting member. The barrier film is extendible to a desired length in a use configuration and retractable back on the first supporting member in a storage configuration. The barrier system may include a retracting mechanism such as a crank or a spring-loaded roller. The barrier film may comprise a sanitary portion. The barrier system may be combined with stanchions or queue barriers to protect individuals waiting in lines. The barrier system may also be used to provide barrier inside a multi-person vehicle.

Shock-absorbing energy dissipation padding placed at eye level in an autonomous vehicle
A Shock-Absorbing Energy Dissipation Padding (SAEDP) is coupled to the compartment of an autonomous on-road vehicle, and is located, during normal driving, at eye level in front of an occupant who sits in a front seat of the vehicle. The vehicle further includes a stiff element that supports the SAEDP and resists deformation during collision in order to reduce compartment intrusion. The stiff element is located, during normal driving, at eye level between the SAEDP and the outside environment. Optionally, a camera takes video of the outside environment in front of the occupant, and a computer generates for the occupant a representation of the outside environment.

Large mirror inside an autonomous vehicle
A large mirroring element is located in front of an occupant who sits in a front seat of an autonomous on-road vehicle. The large mirroring element provides the effect of reflecting light arriving from the occupant's direction. Optionally, a camera takes video of the outside environment in front of the occupant, sends the video to a computer that generates a representation of the outside environment in front of the occupant at eye level, and a display located in front of the occupant presents the representation to the occupant.
PET GUARD TO TRANSPORT PETS IN THE BOOT OF MOTORCARS, PARTICULARLY DOGS
A pet guard to transport pets in the boot (B) of a motorcar (C), comprising a barrier (10) for the reciprocal separation of the boot (B) and the cabin (I) of the motorcar (C) and means (20) to anchor the separation bar (10) to the motorcar (C). The separation bar (10) includes at least one substantially continuous optically transparent plate (11) to allow the driver of the motorcar to see behind the latter therethrough.
Vehicle window structure for preventing person from being thrown out
A vehicle window structure for preventing a person from being thrown out, applied to a vehicle, includes a fixing frame. An inner frame surface of the fixing frame is provided with a plurality of fixing portions spaced apart from each other. An arresting net includes at least one plastic rope fixedly connected to the fixing portions in an interlaced manner. The fixing frame is provided with a light-permeable unit that is mounted and fixed within the inner frame surface and covers the arresting net. When the vehicle has an accidental rollover unfortunately, even if the light-permeable unit is damaged or the fixing frame is deformed during the overturning of the vehicle, the arresting net is still able to arrest the user effectively because the arresting net is directly fixed to the fixing frame, thereby preventing the user from being thrown out of the vehicle.
