VEHICLE PEDAL DEVICE
A vehicle pedal device includes: a pedal; a pedal bracket that supports the pedal such that the pedal pivots; and a guide member that guides deformation of the pedal bracket when a load is applied from a front of a vehicle. The guide member is attached to an instrument panel reinforcement. The guide member has a tilted surface tilted downward toward a rear of the vehicle. The pedal bracket is attached to a dash panel. The pedal bracket has a guided portion that is guided by the tilted surface when the load is applied from the front of the vehicle. The guided portion has a brittle portion.
Pedal apparatus for protection of driver
A pedal apparatus for a vehicle includes a pedal member to which a pedal arm is rotatably coupled, a cowl bracket fixedly coupled to the pedal member, and a collision rotation bracket coupled to the cowl bracket. The collision rotation bracket is configured to be rotated with respect to the cowl bracket when the collision rotation bracket comes into contact with a vehicle body fixture in accordance with rearward movement of the pedal member caused upon occurrence of a collision accident. The pedal arm is configured to be forcibly pushed in a forward direction by the collision rotation bracket during rotation of the collision rotation bracket, thereby causing the pedal arm to be forcibly rotated in the forward direction.
Collision safer vehicles having a steering wheel with dual positions and collision-retreat seats
A new type of vehicles is disclosed that equipped with a steering wheel which can be located and operated either in side location or in central location. The information display panel, the brake pedal, and the acceleration pedal can be moved along with the steering wheel, the central convenient cabin can be moved to side also. When the steering wheel is located at the central position, additional about 1 foot or more collision cushion space is created which will substantially reduce the injuries and fatal casualties caused by side collisions. The new type of the vehicles disclosed here can also be equipped with collision-retreat vehicle seats, such collision-retreat seats can be pushed backward through proper mechanism when the front-end collisions happen; such seat backward retreat will create additional collision cushion space between the front occupants and the frontal elements such as steering wheel, dashboard and windshield glass, the severity of the injuries and fatal casualties will be substantially reduced, lives will be saved.

Pedal assembly for a vehicle
An automotive vehicle includes a body having a passenger compartment and at least one pedal box for controlling vehicle acceleration or braking. The pedal box is movably coupled to an interior structural point disposed within the passenger compartment and movable between first and second positions with respect to the structural point. At least one pedal, actuatable by an occupant, is coupled to the pedal box. The vehicle additionally includes an actuator operably coupled to the pedal box and configured to selectively move the pedal box between the first position and the second position. The vehicle further includes at least one controller. The controller is configured to, in response to satisfaction of a first operating condition, control the actuator to move the pedal box to the first position, and, in response to satisfaction of a second operating condition, control the actuator to move the pedal box to the second position.

VEHICLE OPERATION PEDAL DEVICE
Provided is a vehicle operation pedal device comprising: an operation pedal provided with a depressing part; a pair of upper support members anchored to a dash panel; a pair of lower support members anchored to the dash panel and also anchored to the pair of upper support members; an upper center support member bridging the pair of upper support members; and a connection hole for rotatably supporting, relative to the operation pedal, an operating rod protruding from the dash panel toward a vehicle rear side. The upper center support member comprises a sliding receiving part. The pair of upper support members comprise escape holes.
Brake pedal apparatus for vehicle
A brake pedal apparatus for a vehicle is provided. The brake pedal apparatus includes a fixing bracket fixedly installed in a vehicle, a pedal arm coupled to the fixing bracket to be rotatable about a first axis, and a collision rack coupled to the fixing bracket to be rotatable about a second axis which is different from the first axis. The collision rack is configured to rotate upon a collision with a collision bracket. The fixing bracket supports the pedal arm to allow the pedal arm to be movable in a predetermined direction. The collision rack blocks the movement of the first axis of the pedal arm, and upon the collision with the collision bracket, the collision rack allows the pedal arm to be disengaged from the fixing bracket, thereby reducing the risk of injuring the driver.

Pedal assembly for a motor vehicle
A pedal assembly for a motor vehicle includes a pedal arm pivotably arranged about a rotation shaft at its first end when in an operating position. A bracket is rotatably arranged around the rotation shaft and connected to the first end of the pedal arm through a pedal connection shaft. A locking arrangement, when in a locked state, locks the bracket in a first bracket position relative the pedal arm such that the bracket rotates with the pedal arm, and the pedal arm is held in an operating position. When the locking arrangement changes from the locked state to an unlocked state, the bracket is unlocked from the pedal arm such that, under influence of gravity, the pedal arm is released from the rotation shaft and displaced from the operating position to a safety position, the first end of the pedal arm being connected to the rotation shaft via the pedal connection shaft and the bracket, and the bracket rotated relative the pedal arm to a second bracket position.
