A sideseat includes a sideseat base, turntable, posterior frame and backrest frame. The sideseat posterior frame is rotatably coupled to the sideseat base through the turntable. The turntable is positioned so that the sideseat turntable and combined frame components move from a deployed position to a locked position in response to an applied force.

Disclosed is a movable seat for use in a law enforcement vehicle. The vehicle seat may include a seat comprising a seat back and a seat bottom. A track system is coupled to the seat and to a vehicle mount. At least one restraint is also coupled to the seat. The at least one restraint may be a four point harness. An opening is also formed in the seat back in order to receive the restrained hands of an uncooperative passenger. The seat may move along the track system, allowing the seat to move completely out of the vehicle thereby allowing a passenger to be safely restrained in the seat while still outside the vehicle. The seat is moved back into the vehicle along the track system.

Disclosed herein is an occupant safety restraint system that dampens forces applied to an occupant by belts used for restraining the occupant in the occupant safety restraint system. Energy dampening structures may be disposed in either a seat back portion of an occupant safety restraint system or a seat bottom portion of an occupant safety restraint system (or both) through which shoulder and/or hip belts pass. The energy dampening structures may include deformation members that deform when restraining belts (i.e., shoulder and/or hip belts) contact the deformation members during vehicle collisions or rapid deceleration or acceleration. Deformation of the deformation members reduces or dampens energy in the restraining belts applied to occupants of the occupant safety restraint systems.

A seat assembly 10 is attached to a vehicle body frame 1, and includes a seat cushion 13a, a support 30, 30A supporting the seat cushion 13a and attached to the vehicle body frame 1 so as to move in a front-rear direction, and a seatbelt 20 having a side belt 21. The side belt 21 is attached to the support 30, 30A.

A seat assembly 10 is attached to a vehicle body frame 1, and includes a slide frame 11 attached to the vehicle body frame 1 so as to move in a front-rear direction, a seat 13 attached to the slide frame 11, and a seatbelt 20 that secures an occupant in the seat 13. The seatbelt 20 includes a side belt 21 corresponding to a side portion of the abdomen of the occupant, and the side belt 21 is attached to the slide frame 11.
