The broader portion (22) is covered at least in part. The broader portion (22) has a base (23) that is connected to the longitudinal portion (21), a beam (25) that extends in a long-side direction of the broader portion (22), a connecting portion (39) that connects the base (23) to the beam (25), and a through hole (71) that is defined by the base (23), the beam (25), and the connecting portion (39) and through which a seat belt is inserted. An edge, located at the side portion (35, 36) of the beam (25) forming the through hole (71), is subjected to a beveling press or is chamfered. The edge faces one side of the seat belt (4) passing through the through hole to a shoulder anchor (6).
Seat belt webbing guide
An assembly includes a seat belt webbing guide including a slot having an upper surface and a lower surface. A rod is supported by the seat belt webbing guide. A roller is supported by the rod. A spring is between the seat belt webbing guide and the rod. The spring the rod toward the lower surface of the slot.
BELT DEFLECTOR
The invention relates to a belt deflector with a main element (100) that can be attached to the structure of a vehicle, and with a belt support element (200) that is movable relative to the main element (100) and forms a support surface (231) or support edge for a safety belt (20) to be deflected.
According to the invention, the belt deflector comprises an intermediate element (300, 400) that is deformed when the movable belt support element (200) is moved relative to the main element (100), in the direction of the intermediate element (300, 400), and because of this deformation is pressed against the safety belt (20).
MULTI-POINT SEAT BELT SYSTEM
A multi-point seat belt system is applied to a seat of a vehicle and has a webbing locking device, an emergency locking-retracting mechanism, and two automatic locking retractors. The webbing locking device has a buckle assembly and a tongue assembly detachably disposed on the buckle assembly. The emergency locking-retracting mechanism is disposed on the seat and has two shoulder webbings connected to the buckle assembly and the tongue assembly respectively. The two automatic locking retractors are disposed on two sides of the seat and have two lower webbings connected to the buckle assembly and the tongue assembly respectively. The two shoulder webbings locked by the two emergency locking retractors and the two lower webbings tightened by the two automatic locking retractors are distributed around the body of the occupant and can fasten the occupant on the seat steadily for promoting the safety protection performance.
SEAT BELT DEVICE
A seat belt device includes a buckle provided on a side portion of a seat for a vehicle, and configured such that a tongue plate is inserted into the buckle; a buckle force limiter mechanism connected to the buckle via a connecting member having an elongate shape, the buckle force limiter mechanism being configured to allow the buckle to move in a pulling direction when a tensile load equal to or larger than a predetermined tensile load is applied to the buckle; and a case covering the connecting member from an inner side in a seat width direction, the case having a corner at an upper end portion of the case, the corner facing the connecting member, and the corner having an arc shape.
BUCKLE DEVICE, SEAT MOUNTING STRUCTURE FOR BUCKLE DEVICE, AND VEHICLE SEAT BELT DEVICE
A buckle device includes: a buckle body to which a tongue portion mounted on a three-point seat belt is to be connected; a connecting member that is flexible and that has a first longitudinal end portion connected to the buckle body; and a force limiter mechanism including a take-up shaft around which a second longitudinal end portion of the connecting member is wound, the take-up shaft being supported below the buckle body in a vertical direction of a vehicle so as to be rotatable relative to a vehicle seat or a vehicle body, and an energy absorbing member that is deformed by rotation of the take-up shaft.
TACTICAL-GEAR-ACCOMMODATING SEATBELT SYSTEM AND METHOD
A tactical-gear-accommodating seatbelt system and method adapted to provide enhanced safety and easier, more reliable means of engaging and disengaging the seatbelt for persons wearing tactical gear on the waist and chest, by providing an extender unit having an extender strap coupled with and extending from the standard seat-level receptacle or anchored in lieu of the standard seat-level receptacle, and a continuous two-way quarter-turn sure-release receptacle attached to the free end of the extender strap such that the double receptacle sits generally in front of the lower torso in use, and having receptacle fittings to accommodate separate lap and shoulder straps anchored at lower and upper anchor points, respectively, with free ends terminated in buckle tabs, thereby allowing easier and safer engagement and disengagement of the seatbelt system for a person wearing tactical gear.
BELT TONGUE HAVING A COVER
The invention relates to a belt tongue (1) having a tongue body (3) extending in an insertion direction (2), in which a belt slot (4) for guiding a belt through is formed crosswise to an insertion direction (2), and a blocking element (5), movably arranged in the tongue body (3), wherein the belt is movable through the belt slot (4) in an unloaded pass-through position of the blocking element (5) and the mobility thereof is at least inhibited by means of the blocking element (5) in a loaded position, created by a tensile force introduced into the belt, wherein the belt is deflected by the belt tongue (1) in the fastened state in a loop shape, wherein a cover (6) is provided at least on one side of the tongue body (2) and the cover (6) is arranged having at least one partial section (7) under the belt slot (4), wherein the partial section (7) of the cover (6) arranged under the belt slot (4) directly adjoins the belt slot (4) and covers at least one part of the blocking element (5) located in the pass-through position.
CINCH LOCKING TONGUE FOR A VEHICLE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT SYSTEM
A tongue mechanism for use in an occupant restraint system also having a buckle mechanism and a webbing. The tongue mechanism includes a tongue member configured to selectively engage the buckle mechanism, a body formed over a portion of the tongue member, a slider, and a biasing member configured to laterally bias the slider. The body includes a body contact surface. The slider includes a slider contact surface and is configured to travel along a track between a first free position and a second locking position. When the slider is positioned in the first free position the tongue mechanism is free to slide along the length of the webbing, and when the slider is positioned in the second locking position a portion of the webbing is clamped between the slider contact surface and the body contact surface thereby preventing the tongue mechanism from sliding along the length of the webbing.
VEHICLE SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY
A vehicle seat belt assembly that ensures proper lap belt and shoulder belt restraint even when an occupant substantially reclines his or her seat. A primary shoulder belt that runs from a buckle member across the chest and shoulder of the occupant and engages a routing device and/or retraction/tensioning device coupled to a pillar, such as a B-pillar, of the body of the vehicle is coupled with a substantially coincident secondary shoulder belt that also runs from the buckle member across the chest and (same) shoulder of the occupant and engages a secondary routing device and/or secondary retraction/tensioning device coupled to a top portion of the seat back, adjacent to the heat rest of the seat and head of the occupant, on the same side of the seat as an anchor point associated with the lap belt.
