VEHICLE SEAT BELT SYSTEM
There is provided a vehicle seat belt system including: webbing that has one end anchored to one seat width direction side surface of a vehicle seat or to a vehicle body, and that restrains an occupant seated in the vehicle seat; a retractor to which another end of the webbing is engaged and that is configured to take up the webbing, the retractor being provided with a pretensioner which, when activated, pulls in the webbing; a buckle, with which a tongue plate attached to the webbing can be engaged; a force limiter that allows the buckle to move to thereby reduce a tensile load acting on the webbing due to activation of the pretensioner; and a warning section that is configured to utilize movement of the buckle resulting from the force limiter to notify the occupant of an abnormality that the force limiter has been activated.

BUFFER DEVICE
A buffer device has a plate, a moveable ring, and an elastic member. The plate has an insertion hole formed through the plate, a connecting portion, and a retaining hole. The connecting portion and the retaining hole are formed on the plate and are located above the insertion hole of the plate. The moveable ring is moveably mounted out of a front side of the plate and has a slot. The slot is formed through the moveable ring. The elastic member is connected with the connecting portion of the plate and the moveable ring. A top section of the elastic member is wound on the connecting portion of the plate. A bottom section of the elastic member is wound on a top section of the moveable ring and passes through the slot of the moveable ring.
EXTENDABLE SEATBELT ANCHOR
A system includes a seatbelt anchor, a seatbelt webbing extending from the seatbelt anchor; and a motor operatively coupled to the seatbelt anchor to move the seatbelt anchor between a first position and an extended position. The system includes a computer having a processor and a memory storing instructions executable by the processor to activate the motor to move the seatbelt anchor from the first position to the extended position in response to determining that tension in the seatbelt webbing is above a predetermined threshold in the absence of detection of a vehicle impact.

Buckle device
Load input to an occupant from a buckle is reduced. A lift-up buckle device includes a buckle that engages with a tongue inserted through webbing worn by an occupant. The lift-up buckle device also includes wires that each include a portion configuring a first fixed portion fixed to the buckle side and another portion configuring a supported portion supported by a wire guide, and that move the buckle due to a distance between the fixed portions and the supported portions being changed. Respective locations between the fixed portions and the supported portions of the wires are displaced in a direction intersecting an engaged direction of the tongue when an external force in a direction of the engaged direction of the tongue has been input to the buckle.

GUIDE RING SENSOR
A guide ring sensor has a fixing seat, a guide ring, an elastic member, and a sensing element. The guide ring is pivoted on the fixing seat by a positioning member. The elastic member is mounted on the body of the fixing seat, is connected to the guide ring, and provides resilience to the guide ring. The sensing element is mounted on the fixing seat to detect a pivoting angle change of the guide ring and generate a signal corresponding to the pivoting angle change of the guide ring. The sensing element may detect whether a webbing is correctly fastened or not by the pivoting angle change of the guide ring.

Guiding Device for a Seat Belt System
A guiding device for a seat belt system has a guiding ring, a moving seat, and an elastic member. The moving seat is slidably mounted on the guiding ring and is moveable upward and downward. The elastic member is connected between the guiding ring and the moving seat for providing an elastic force to the moving seat. When a webbing of the seat belt system is pulled, the moving seat is pulled by the webbing and moves downwardly. The elastic member is stretched to generate a cushioning resilience to reduce the pulling force. The structure of the guiding device is compact, so the guiding device is low-cost in manufacture and small in volume without occupying much space.
