VEHICLE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT
A vehicle occupant restraint system for a seat of a vehicle. The system includes a first arm portion mountable on a first side of the seat, the first arm having an engaging portion; and a second arm portion mountable on a second side of the seat, the second arm having an engaging portion, the engaging portion of the first arm portion being engageable with the engaging portion of the second arm portion to restrain an occupant on the seat. At least one of the first arm portion and the second arm portion is adjustable relative to the seat.
BUCKLE DEVICE
A buckle guide formed in the shape of a cross-sectionally rectangular tube is inserted from a vehicle rear and lower end portion of a buckle cover of a buckle, and guide ribs that project from an inner surface of the buckle cover are in abutting contact with a rectangular guide surface that is an outer surface of the buckle guide. Because of this, swiveling of the buckle cover relative to the buckle guide is limited.

BUCKLE DEVICE
A reduction in the durability of a coupling member coupled to a buckle is suppressed. A lift-up buckle device includes a buckle that engages with a tongue inserted through webbing worn by an occupant, and wires that each have a portion fixed to the buckle and that are displaced to move the buckle. The lift-up buckle device also includes a wire guide that includes a guide groove that guides the wires, and a soft lower cover that engages with the wire guide and covers the wires. A dimension of an end portion on the buckle side of the guide groove is set so as to increase on progression toward the buckle side.

SEAT BELT BUCKLE PRESENTER
A belt buckle feeder comprises a stationary base (12) adapted to be fixedly mounted to the vehicle and a carriage (14) movable to a retracted position and to an extended position vis-à-vis the base (12), which carriage is connected to a belt buckle (20) via an intermediate plate (22) provided between the belt buckle (20) and the carriage (14). The intermediate plate (22) is tightly connected to the belt buckle (20) and there is provided a positive guidance by which the intermediate plate (22) is pivoted during traversing to the extended position by a predetermined degree vis-à-vis the carriage (14) so that in addition to the traversing movement of the carriage (14) along a tilting direction (N) the belt buckle (20) reversibly tilts from a home position to an inclined position.

BUCKLE APPARATUS
A buckle apparatus includes a buckle, a moving member, a sliding member and a guide member. A tongue of a seatbelt apparatus can be engaged with the buckle. By being moved, the moving member moves the buckle. The sliding member is provided at the moving member and moves together with the moving member. The guide member allows the sliding member to slide in accordance with movement of the moving member and guides the sliding member. Friction between the guide member and the sliding member is less than friction between the guide member and the moving member.

BUCKLE DEVICE
In a buckle device, displacement of a buckle cover in a width direction with respect to a buckle guide is restricted by restricting grooves of the buckle cover and restricting ribs of the buckle guide that enter the restricting grooves. This enables a space to be secured between a wall portion on one side in a width direction of the buckle cover and a wall portion on one side in a width direction of the buckle guide.
