The display module includes a display panel, the display panel includes a first surface and a second surface opposite to each other, at least one of the first surface and the second surface is a display surface, and the display module further includes an optical modulation structure arranged on at least one of the first surface and the second surface of the display panel. The optical modulation structure includes: a first transparent substrate and a second transparent substrate arranged opposite to each other, a charged particle arranged between the first transparent substrate and the second transparent substrate, and a first transparent electrode structure arranged between the first transparent substrate and the second transparent substrate and configured to form an electric field for driving the charged particle to move.

A head up display system presents a virtual image to a human driver of a motor vehicle. A picture generation unit includes a printed circuit board having at least one light emitting device emitting light from a surface of the printed circuit board. The surface has an optically reflective coating. A liquid crystal display receives the emitted light and reflects a portion of the received emitted light back to the printed circuit board. The optically reflective coating of the printed circuit board reflects the light reflected by the liquid crystal display back to the liquid crystal display. At least one mirror reflects light passed by the liquid crystal display toward a windshield of the motor vehicle such that the light is reflected by the windshield and is visible to the human driver as the virtual image.

Luminescent component

Described are luminescent components with excellent performance and stability. The luminescent components comprise a first element including first luminescent crystals from the class of perovskite crystals, embedded a first polymer P1 and a second element comprising a second solid polymer composition, said second polymer composition optionally comprising second luminescent crystals embedded in a second polymer P2. Polymers P1 and P2 differ and are further specified in the claims. Also described are methods for manufacturing such components and devices comprising such components.

The first display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate opposed to the first substrate, and a first liquid crystal layer held between the first substrate and the second substrate and including streak-like polymers and liquid crystal molecules. An extension direction of the polymers is substantially orthogonal to the transmission axis.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display panel that includes a display portion including pixels and a non-display portion including an opening, an illumination device, and a color separation element provided between the display panel and the illumination device. The color separation element includes a first element overlapping the pixel and a second element overlapping the opening, the first element separates illumination light from the illumination device into light of a plurality of colors and irradiates the pixel with the light, and the second element separates illumination light from the illumination device into light of a plurality of colors and irradiates the opening with the light.

The holographic display apparatus includes the display device.
