A portable electronic device case. The portable electronic device case includes a first panel and a second panel that are hingedly connected. A recessed area on the first panel is configured to receive an electronic device and retain it therein. An interchangeable mounting dock is removably attachable to the first panel and includes an electronic device connector configured to receive electronic devices and establish an electrical connection therewith. A charger and a battery on the first panel are each in electrical communication with the mounting dock, such that either may charge an electronic device mounted onto the mounting dock. A locking mechanism enables the first and second panel to fasten to one another. The second panel is configured to fold over and onto the first panel such that it encloses an electronic device stored within the recessed area of the first panel.

Case for electronic devices

An external device for an electronic device includes a first cover portion configured to cover at least a portion of the electronic device, an insert coupled to the first cover portion, and a second cover portion coupled to the insert and covering at least a portion of the insert. At least an outer layer of the first cover portion or the second cover portion is made of a non-moldable material. The insert includes various mechanical structures and electrical circuits.

Co-Molded Ceramic and Polymer Structure

A method of manufacturing a co-molded housing component for an electronic device is disclosed. A component formed from a ceramic material is placed in a mold. The mold comprises a first section defining a first cavity configured to receive the first component, and a second section defining a second cavity that is in communication with the first cavity when the mold is closed. The second cavity is in the shape of a feature that is to be joined to the ceramic material. A polymer material is injected into the second cavity, thereby forming the feature from the polymer material and bonding the feature to the ceramic material. The polymer material is cured. The first component and the feature together form the housing component for an electronic device.

Cradle-case combination with magnetic fastener feature

A cradle-case combination enables its user to selectively display and or encase an electronic device, and together includes a cradle construction and a case construction. The cradle construction is sized and shaped to removably cradle a select or particular electronic device. The cradle construction has an anterior device-receiving cradle portion and a posterior cradle-to-case interface portion. The cradle-to-case interface portion includes a magnetically attractive first material. The case construction has anterior and posterior case portions, and at least the posterior case portion has a magnetically attractive second material. The first and second magnetically attractive materials enable the user to magnetically fasten the cradle to the case. The anterior case portion is pivotal relative to the posterior case portion for selectively accessing the device-receiving cradle portion in an open case configuration and/or covering the device-receiving cradle portion in a closed case configuration.

PROTECTIVE ENCLOSURE FOR AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE

A protective enclosure for use with an electronic device includes a bottom shell, a first cushioning member, and a second cushioning member. The bottom shell includes a back portion and walls attached to the back portion to form a cavity for receiving and removably retaining the electronic device.
