Laundry treatment apparatus
Disclosed herein is a laundry treatment apparatus including a cabinet including an upper cover, a first side cover and a second side cover, a cover through hole formed through the upper cover, and an outlet formed in a front surface of the cabinet, a drawer including a drawer body, and a drawer panel fixed to the drawer body, a tub arranged in the drawer body, a drum rotatably arranged inside the tub, an operation part having one end rotatably fixed to the first side cover and a free end, a contact portion exposed to an outside of the cabinet and configured to move toward an inside of the cabinet and toward the cover through hole, a converter configured to move the free end, and a position sensor configured to sense a position of the free end when the outlet is closed to sense closure of the outlet.
Method of using image recognition processes for improved operation of a laundry appliance
A washing machine appliance includes a wash basket that is rotatably mounted within a wash tub and that defines a wash chamber for receiving a load of clothes. A water supply adds water to the wash tub during a fill cycle and a camera assembly is used to monitor the water level. Specifically, the camera assembly obtains one or more images of the wash chamber during and/or after a fill cycle and a controller analyzes the images using a machine learning image recognition process to determine when the water within the wash tub has reached a predetermined water level, e.g., optimized based on load size or other load parameters. If the water in the wash tub is below or above the predetermined water level, the controller may implement responsive action, e.g., by adjusting at least one operating parameter of the washing machine appliance.
Vacuum-based method and apparatus for cleaning soiled articles
Disclosed herein, in certain embodiments, are vacuum-based systems, products, devices, and methods for de-odorizing, disinfecting, or cleaning articles such as clothing, shoes, toys, or dishes. A system or device can comprise a vacuum chamber comprising a housing defining an internal space having an internal pressure and an opening; a vacuum lid adapted to engage with the opening of the vacuum chamber; and a vacuum source connected to the vacuum chamber, wherein operation of the vacuum source reduces the internal pressure of the internal space of the vacuum chamber, wherein the lower internal pressure enhances the vaporization and removal of odors located on one or more articles disposed within the vacuum chamber.
Leftover load detection method using image recognition in a laundry appliance
A laundry appliance includes a basket rotatably mounted within a cabinet and defining a chamber configured for receiving a load of clothes and a camera assembly mounted within the cabinet in view of the chamber. A controller is configured to implement a leftover load detection method including determining that an operating cycle of the laundry appliance has been completed and that a user has removed the load of clothes. A camera then obtains one or more images of the chamber and the images are analyzed to determine whether any articles of clothing remain in the chamber. If the image analysis identifies a leftover article remaining in the chamber, the method includes implementing a responsive action, such as providing a user notification.
Domestic appliances activity monitoring systems and methods
Systems and methods for detecting activity include a first domestic appliance and a second domestic appliance. Such methods may include detecting a first interaction with one of the first domestic appliance and the second domestic appliance and increasing an activity counter by a first amount based on the first interaction. The methods also include detecting a second interaction with one of the first domestic appliance and the second domestic appliance and increasing the activity counter by a second amount based on the second interaction. The methods further include providing a user notification when the activity counter crosses a predetermined threshold.
Image recognition processes for detecting tangling in a washing machine appliance
A method of operating a washing machine appliance is provided. The washing machine appliance includes a wash basket rotatably mounted within a wash tub and defining a wash chamber configured for receiving of a load of articles. A camera is positioned with a view of the wash chamber. The method includes obtaining one or more images of the wash chamber with the camera, analyzing the one or more images using a machine learning image recognition process to determine that the articles are tangled, and adjusting at least one operating parameter of the washing machine appliance in response to determining that the articles are tangled.
CLOTHES CARE APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
The disclosure relates to a clothes care apparatus and a method for controlling the same. The clothes care apparatus may obtain mode operation information of a previous steam mode stored in a memory, based on receiving a water level detection signal corresponding to a preset water level from a water level sensor at a start of a current steam mode, and control a water supply and a heater based on the obtained mode operation information of the previous steam mode.
LAUNDRY TREATING APPARATUS
A laundry treating apparatus for performing a processing operation for laundry includes a control panel for inputting control signals for the processing operation. The laundry treating apparatus includes a main body configured to accommodate laundry and and a cover defining an exterior of the main body. The cover includes a first through hole located at a front upper end portion of the cover. A control panel is located at an inner surface of the cover. The control panel is partially exposed to an exterior of the cover through the first through hole to allow a user to input a control signal for the processing operation. The control panel includes a fixed UI section including a first control UI having a fixed display; and a variable UI section including a second control UI having a variable display.
LAUNDRY TREATING APPARATUS
A laundry treating apparatus for performing a processing operation for laundry, the laundry treating apparatus including a control panel to allow a user to input a control signal for the processing operation. The laundry treating apparatus includes a main body configured to accommodate laundry and a cover configured define an exterior of the main body. The cover includes a first through hole in the front upper end portion of the cover. The control panel is installed inside the cabinet cover and partially exposed to an exterior of the cover through the first through hole. The control panel includes a window having a front surface in contact with the inner surface of the cover at an area other than the first through hole. A touch screen is located at a rear surface of the window. A coating guide is configured to support a rear surface of the touch screen.
