Sealed web retractors for personal restraint systems and associated systems and methods
Sealed web retractors and associated systems and methods for retracting a web, such as seat belt web, are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a web retractor includes a frame having a sidewall with a first opening, a locking assembly attached to the frame and having a housing with a second opening adjacent to the first opening, and a shaft coupler rotatably and sealably carried by the sidewall. The shaft coupler operably couples a spool shaft to the locking assembly through the first and second openings. At least one seal is operably positioned in the first opening between the shaft coupler and the sidewall.
WEBBING TAKE-UP DEVICE
A webbing take-up device includes a spool that is rotated in a take-up direction to take up webbing worn by an occupant and that is rotated in a pull-out direction by the webbing being pulled out, and a frame that rotatably supports the spool. The frame includes a fixed stay portion that is fixed to a vehicle body, and a rotation stop stay portion that is disposed spaced apart from the vehicle body and that by being engaged with the vehicle body is restricted from rotational displacement relative to the fixed stay portion.
Frame for a vehicle safety belt retractor, vehicle structure for mounting a belt retractor, and sheet metal blank for a frame for a vehicle safety belt retractor
A frame (10) for a vehicle seat belt retractor comprises a back part (12), two side legs (16) extending in parallel to each other starting from the back part (12), with a retaining aperture (18) for a belt reel being provided in each side leg (16), and a mounting structure for mounting the frame (10) fixed to the vehicle, wherein the mounting structure includes a retaining bracket (22) having a mounting hole (36) for a retaining means (50) and at least one deformable deformation element (46). Furthermore, in accordance with the invention a vehicle structure for mounting a belt retractor in a vehicle is provided comprising a body part (52) and a frame (10) according to the invention. Moreover, a sheet metal blank for such frame is provided.
SEAT BELT APPARATUS
A seat belt apparatus provided in a front door of a vehicle, comprises a retractor provided in the front door and configured to retract a webbing for constraining an occupant so as to be pulled out, a belt anchor provided in the front door and attached with one end of the webbing, and a latch configured to engage the front door to a vehicle body. The latch is provided between the retractor and the belt anchor in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle body.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat includes: a first frame member that forms a framework of the vehicle seat and extends in a seat vertical direction or in a seat front-and-rear direction; a second frame member that extends in a seat width direction; and a component mounting bracket that allows to mount a component and is provided in an inside-seat corner portion of a connecting part of the first frame member and the second frame member, wherein the first frame member or the second frame member has a hole into which a portion of the component is inserted when the component is mounted in the component mounting bracket.
LOAD-BEARING SEATBELT RETRACTOR AND SEAT STRUCTURE
The invention relates to a load-bearing seatbelt retractor for a seat structure of a vehicle seat, the seatbelt retractor having two housing halves between which functional modules of the seatbelt retractor are disposed. One functional module is a belt reel having a winding axis. The two housing halves form two mutually parallel receptacles in the seatbelt retractor, which are oriented perpendicular to the winding axis. Two seat bars can be inserted into the receptacles. The two housing halves are in contact at least on two contact lines above and below the functional modules with respect to an insertion direction of the receptacles. The lower contact line splits open on both sides along the winding axis such that respective intermediate spaces open toward the receptacles are formed.
Belt shaft housing, belt shaft, belt tensioner, and method for installing a belt tensioner
A belt shaft housing (40) for a belt shaft of a seatbelt system comprises a shaft holder (42) for holding the belt shaft, a securing component (48) including a retaining portion (88), and at least one fixing element (74) that is configured to fasten the belt shaft within the shaft holder (42). The securing component (48) is fastened to the shaft holder (42) such that it can adopt an assembly position and a securing position, wherein the fixing element (74) is released in the assembly position and is secured to the shaft holder (42) in the securing position. Further, a belt shaft including a webbing, a belt pin and a sleeve-shaped axle is provided. There is moreover provided a belt tensioner, especially an end fitting tensioner, comprising such belt shaft housing (40) and such belt shaft as well as a method for assembling such belt tensioner.
Fastening arrangement for a safety belt of a rear seat row of a motor vehicle and motor vehicle with such a fastening arrangement
A fastening arrangement is disclosed for a safety belt of a rear seat row of a motor vehicle with a cross brace, which extends in the lateral direction. The fastening arrangement includes a tubular cross brace. The cross brace is provided with a mounting flange, on which a belt retractor is fastened and supported. The mounting flange is downwardly offset relative to an upper wall of the cross brace in the vertical direction.
SEATBELT PRETENSIONING RETRACTOR ASSEMBLY INCLUDING A PRETENSIONER ROD
A seatbelt pretensioning retractor assembly for use in a passenger vehicle is provided. The pretensioning assembly includes a tube in fluid communication with a gas generator and a driving element disposed therein that travels in a first direction in response to actuation of the gas generator. The driving element includes a polymer rod with a recessed portion. A stopper is coupled to an end portion of the polymer rod. The tube includes a projection extending within the tube adjacent to the exit to define a constriction portion. The constriction portion is sized to permit the recessed portion of the polymer rod to pass therethrough while preventing the stopper from passing therethrough. The polymer rod has a retention feature for releasably engaging the projection.
