Variable-resistance exercise machine with network communication for smart device control and interactive software applications
A variable-resistance exercise machine with network communication for smart device control and interactive software applications, comprising a network interface that receives input from a user device and provides output to a user device; a plurality of moving surfaces that each provide an independent degree of resistance to movement based on received input, a sensor that detects movement and provides output to a user device based on the movement.
FOOTREST FOR ROWING MACHINE
A footrest includes a base plate, two supports and two clipless pedals. The base plate has a first set of adjustment holes arranged in two rows. Each of the supports has a bottom and a pivoting seat. The bottom has two fixing holes corresponding to the first set of adjustment holes in two rows. The pivoting seat has a pivoting hole. Each of the supports is fixed onto the base plate by fastening bolts passing through the fixing holes and selective two of the first set of adjustment holes. The clipless pedals are separately screwed into the pivoting holes.
Lean Based Steering System For Use With Tilting Cycle
An exercise equipment system with a movable support that is movable in a lateral direction, a sensor adapted to generate a lateral tilt signal, and a processor for generating a left or right turn output signal to a ride simulation in response to tilting of the exercise equipment during use. The exercise equipment may be a cycle mounted to a base. The processor may further filter out small magnitude sensor signals generated through left or right tilting that occurs during cycling, which are not indicative of a turn. The system may also include a display for visualizing a ride simulation of one or more network connected cycle avatars that are individually controlled with a lean-to-steer system.
Unsupported pelvic / spine, third class lever exercise system and method
The invention is embodied in an exercise system that can allow its user to counterbalance the effects associated with a predominantly sedentary lifestyle though a fitness device that comprises a combination of (a) supporting the lower body in a manner that permits a user's upper body to act as a third class lever with the user's hips operating as fulcrum and (b) engaging in resistance exercises with the upper body in a horizontal position, unsupported above the greater trochanter.
Climbing exercise machine
An exercise machine creates a simulated continuous resisted climbing motion. The machine includes a floor- or ground-contacting base frame and two or more substantially vertically oriented uprights, wherein at least one upright is rigidly connected to the base frame. The machine further includes two handles and two foot pedals, each handle and each foot pedal being movably engaged with an upright for linear reciprocating motion along the upright. The handles and foot pedals are interconnected so that they move concurrently. An adjustable resistance mechanism may be operatively connected to the interconnection of the handles and foot pedals to provide adjustable resistance for the simulated continuous climbing motion.
FOOT SUPPORTS WITH FIT ENHANCEMENT FEATURES FOR AN EXERCISE MACHINE
A foot support assembly for an exercise machine may be configured for sing-hand operation (e.g., cinching or releasing of the foot strap), The foot support assembly may include a footplate coupled to the frame of the exercise machine and configured to support the user's foot during exercise and a strap coupled to the footplate and configured to resist separation of the user's foot from the footplate. The strap is operatively associated with a quick release ratchet mechanism, which is configured to be unlocked simply by pressing a lever of the ratchet to allow the ratchet strip to reverse, releasing the user's foot from the strap. The foot support assembly may be provided on each side of the seat rail of a rowing machine, which may alternatively or additionally include a multi-grip handle including a plurality of grip portions configured to position the user's hand at different orientations to one another.
Training apparatus for improving control ability of lower limb
The training apparatus according to an embodiment includes: a support unit; a guide unit fixed on the support unit and including rails which extend in a front-rear direction; a sliding unit which is movable in the front-rear direction along the rails of the guide unit; a pillar-shaped rotation axis fixed on the support unit; a footrest unit which supports a user's foot; a lower support formed below the footrest unit; and a connection rotating unit formed below the footrest unit and connected to the rotation axis of the support unit through insertion to allow the footrest unit to rotate around the rotation axis. A plurality of springs installed inward from two sidewalls of the sliding unit is configured to come into contact with the lower support of the footrest unit and apply pressure from two sides when the footrest unit rotates.
Leg rehabilitation exercise apparatus
The present invention provides a leg rehabilitation exercise apparatus, which includes: a base; a seat arranged on the base; a leg exercise frame arranged on the base; an upper rotation-supporting member arranged on the leg exercise frame; a lower rotation-supporting member arranged on the leg exercise frame; a reciprocating motion section including a left lifting/lowering motion section, a right lifting/lowering motion section, an upper connection section, and a lower connection section; a left lifting/lowering member arranged on the left lifting/lowering motion section; and a right lifting/lowering member arranged on the right lifting/lowering motion section. The left lifting/lowering motion section and the right lifting/lowering motion section are operable to do lifting/lowering motions in opposite directions. The leg rehabilitation exercise apparatus of the present invention achieves an effective result of training quadriceps muscles of thighs and shanks and is also an operation safe device.
LOWER-LIMB WALKING REHABILITATION TRAINER
The invention provides a lower-limb walking rehabilitation trainer, including two supporting frames, two gait simulation mechanisms installed on the two supporting frames respectively, and two pedals installed on the two gait simulation mechanisms respectively. The supporting frames are crutch type supporting frames. The gait simulation mechanisms include a special four-bar linkage and curve amplification mechanism. The four-bar linkage consists of a crank, a first connecting rod, a rocking rod and a rack rod that are articulated end to end. The upper end of the first connecting rod is articulated with the lower end of the second connecting rod in the curve amplification mechanism, the lower end of the third connecting rod in the curve amplification mechanism is articulated with the pedal, the rack rod is relatively fixed to the supporting frame, and the fourth connecting rod is connected to the inner side of the crutch type supporting frame.
Exercise machines having a resistance fan that directs air for cooling a user
An exercise machine has a supporting frame; a resistance fan on the supporting frame, the resistance fan being configured to provide an amount of resistance to a user of the exercise machine; a housing enclosing the resistance fan, the housing having a plurality of openings through which air from the resistance fan is directed towards the user of the exercise machine; and a shroud on the housing. The shroud is movable with respect to the plurality of openings so as to redirect the air from the resistance fan without changing the amount of resistance provided to the user of the exercise machine.
