Wheelchair-bound passenger restraint device
A wheelchair-bound passenger restraint device has a wheelchair retractor that rewinds one end portion of a wheelchair belt member in an extractable manner, a wheelchair buckle that can be fitted with a wheelchair tongue plate, a passenger retractor that rewinds one end portion of a passenger belt member in an extractable manner, a passenger buckle that can be fitted with a passenger tongue plate, a buckle sensor that detects that the wheelchair tongue plate has been fitted to the wheelchair buckle, and a passenger belt lock mechanism that is configured to be able to make a changeover between a locked state making the passenger belt member unextractable an unlocked state making the passenger belt member extractable, and that makes a changeover from the locked state to the unlocked state when it is detected that the wheelchair tongue plate has been fitted to the wheelchair buckle.
WEBBING WINDING DEVICE AND VEHICLE SEAT
A webbing winding device includes a spool, a sensor lever, and a solenoid. The sensor lever is displaceable between the first position and the second position. In a state where the sensor lever is disposed at the first position, the rotation in the drawing-out direction of the spool is enabled, and in a state where the sensor lever is disposed at the second position, the rotation in the drawing-out direction of the spool is locked. When the solenoid is actuated, a part of the sensor lever is attracted and the sensor lever is displaced from the first position to the second position. The center of gravity of the sensor lever is set so that the sensor lever is displaced toward the second position when negative acceleration with respect to the direction in which a part of the sensor lever is attracted to the solenoid is generated in the sensor lever.

LOCKING WEB RETRACTOR WITH CONTROLLABLE LOCK
A locking web retractor includes a spool mounted between side walls of a frame and rotatable in web take-up and pay out directions, and a locking apparatus including a toothed wheel rotatable with the spool, a movable component and a lock pawl. The movable component moves between a locking position in which it forces an engagement end of the lock pawl into engagement with the toothed wheel to prevent the spool from rotating in the web pay out direction, and an unlocking position in which the movable component does not force the engagement end of the lock pawl toward the toothed wheel. The lock pawl defines a counterweight at an opposite end and configured, in the unlocking position of the movable component, to cause the lock pawl to move in a direction which draws the engagement end of the lock pawl away from the toothed wheel.

BELT RETRACTOR HAVING AN ELECTRICALLY ACTUATABLE LOCKING DEVICE
A belt retractor having an electrically actuatable locking device comprising a housing with a base plate and an upright first limb, a locking lever mounted pivotably on the upright first limb with a steel plate which is spring-loaded, and an electromagnet arranged in the housing and having a coil with a through opening, a first iron core which is arranged in the through opening, when a voltage is applied to the coil, exerts a magnetic force on the locking lever via the steel plate and actuates the locking lever for triggering a locking or unlocking movement against the force of the spring. The movement of the locking lever is enforced by a first magnetic circuit formed by the first iron core, the upright first limb and the portions of the base plate and of the locking lever between the first iron core and the upright first limb.

Tuning of a kinematic relationship between members
Described herein is a device comprising members in a kinematic relationship. The kinematic relationship is at least partially governed by at least one magnetically induced force that introduces a force threshold that, in effect, provides a threshold to part movement and confers a degree of hysteresis, preventing movement until a sufficiently large energizing force is applied. The effect may be further altered by use of an additional magnetically induced force interaction with at least one further member to urge or slow movement once started and/or to prevent movement once a new position is reached.
