Method for measuring the pull-out of the belt band and belt band retractor
A method for sensing the webbing extension of a seat belt (12) from a webbing retractor (10) of a vehicle includes sensing the position of the magnet (18) by means of the magnetic field sensor (20) by the control unit (22). The control unit (22) detects when the magnet (18) has completed a full turn. The control unit (22) deposits the number of the full turns in a memory (26). The control unit (22) determines the webbing extension by way of number of the full turns and the position of the magnet (18). A webbing retractor (10) for a seat belt (12) has a magnet (18).
WEBBING WINDING DEVICE
In the webbing winding device, the rotation of the output shaft of the motor is transmitted to the spool via the first gear train. In this state, when the rotation speed of the spool decreases and the rotation of the slider base of the first clutch decreases, the coupling pawl of the second clutch is pressed by the slider provided on the slider base to mesh with the ratchet gear, and the rotation of the output shaft of the motor is transmitted to the spool via the second gear train.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPROVING SAFETY OF OCCUPANT BY VEHICLE SEAT BELT
A system for improving safety of an occupant by a vehicle seat belt, which can provide adaptive protection for an occupant in different seat positions and different sitting postures is provided. A method for improving safety of an occupant by a vehicle seat belt is also provided, along with a a computer-readable medium. The a system for improving safety of an occupant by a vehicle seat belt includes an in-vehicle observation system, an active seat belt system, and an integrated safety domain control unit. The integrated safety domain control unit formulates a vehicle seat belt protection strategy based on received data from the in-vehicle observation system, and a slack state of an active retractor and a positional state of an active lift buckle in the active seat belt system, to implement selective tightening or loosening of the active retractor and/or selective lifting or lowering of the active lift buckle.

TENSIONING DEVICE FOR A SEAT BELT COMPONENT
A seat belt tensioning device with a gas generator for generating a compressed gas, a piston driven by the compressed gas, a tension cable which is connected to the piston and is connectable to a seat belt component to be set into a tensioning movement, a tensioner tube for receiving and guiding the piston, and a guide block that forms a cable guide and in which a receptacle receiving the gas generator and a pressure chamber connected in terms of flow to the receptacle are formed, wherein the guide block is connected to the tensioner tube, and the tension cable runs rectilinearly in a piston movement direction from the tensioner tube through the pressure chamber, wherein the guide block forms a linear guide adjoining the pressure chamber such that the tension cable can be led out of the guide block on the side opposite the tensioner tube.
CLUTCH DEVICE
An engagement and disengagement device used in a seat belt retractor including a first rotating member capable of being driven to rotate about a rotation axis thereof, a second rotating member provided coaxially with the first rotating member and connected to a reel of the seat belt retractor in an anti-torsion manner, and a transmission member provided between the first and second rotating member. The first rotating member is capable of transmitting torque to the second rotating member by means of the transmission member. The transmission member includes a holder and a transmission element in the holder. A first elastic component elastically holds the transmission element by radially exerting a force that enables the transmission element to be located away from the first or the second rotating member, and the first elastic component is integrated on the holder.
Subassembly formed of a seat belt retractor belt reel and a drive wheel
A subassembly includes a belt reel for a seat belt retractor and a drive wheel on which a belt tensioner can act to drive the belt reel in a winding direction of the seat belt, wherein between the drive wheel and the belt reel there is provided an overload clutch which includes plural shear elements, especially shear pins, each of which is inserted in an opening of the belt reel and/or of the drive wheel, the opening extending in the axial direction starting from a front side of the belt reel.

Pretensioner tube in retractor assembly
A seatbelt pretensioner system for use in a seatbelt retractor assembly having a spindle and a frame includes a housing adapted for being mounted to the frame and having an interior cavity, a pretensioner tube including a body portion and an exit portion, and having a first tube end in fluid communication with a gas generator and a second tube end in fluid communication with the interior cavity of the housing, a pinion being rotatably mounted in the housing and fixedly coupled to the spindle adapted for taking up seatbelt webbing during pretensioning, a pretensioner rod disposed inside the pretensioner tube, and a stopper disposed between the gas generator and the pretensioner rod. Further, the exit portion of the tube is formed to neck down such that the exit portion is configured to prevent the stopper from passing therethrough.
Motor Vehicle Having at Least One Retaining Device
A motor vehicle has a passenger compartment for at least one vehicle user and has at least one sensor device for detecting a location of the vehicle user in the passenger compartment. At least one retaining device is used to fix the vehicle user in his/her location. A control device is provided to activate the at least one retaining device according to a signal of at least one impact sensor of the motor vehicle. The at least one retaining device is designed to fix the vehicle user in a location in the passenger compartment different from a vehicle seat of the motor vehicle. A method operates such a motor vehicle.
