A communication apparatus executes authentication via wireless communication with a mobile device and, based on an authentication process, controls execution of a vehicle operation requested by a user. The communication apparatus includes a detection unit configured to detect closure of a door of a vehicle, an authentication processing unit configured to determine, in response to detection of the closure of the door by the detection unit, whether a specific mobile device is inside the vehicle by executing a first authentication process corresponding to a vehicle operation for which a highest security is set, among a plurality of vehicle operations that can be requested by the user, and an execution unit configured to execute, when the authentication processing unit has determined that the specific mobile device is inside the vehicle, a requested vehicle operation requestable from an inside of the vehicle and included in the plurality of vehicle operations.

ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN VEHICLE MANAGEMENT DEVICE, ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN VEHICLE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, AND ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN VEHICLE MANAGEMENT METHOD

An electrically driven vehicle management device is configured to acquire vehicle inherent information that can be used in identifying an electrically driven vehicle when a charging cable attachable to and detachable from the electrically driven vehicle is connected to the electrically driven vehicle, and determine, based on the acquired vehicle inherent information, a coping operation to be performed in relation to the electrically driven vehicle to which the charging cable is connected.

METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A LOCKING ELEMENT OF A VEHICLE
20200130644 · 2020-04-30 ·

A method for controlling at least one locking element of a vehicle is disclosed. A mobile identification transmitter is detected at a position in a certain access region around the vehicle. Furthermore, a user signal is output to a user carrying the mobile identification transmitter after the mobile identification transmitter has stayed at the position for a first predetermined duration. In addition, the at least one locking element is unlocked/opened after the mobile identification transmitter further stays at the position for a second predetermined duration after the user signal is output. For the targeted control of the automatic unlocking or opening of the vehicle door, the process of unlocking or opening is terminated if a termination signal from the user is detected within the second predetermined duration.

Access and/or starting device for a vehicle An access and/or starting apparatus (ZSV) for a vehicle (FZ) has the following features. It comprises a biometric sensor device (BS; BS1-BS4, BSI) for detecting a biometric feature (GE) of a user; a position determining device (ZGS) for determining the position of an identification transmitter (IDG1, IDG2) assigned to the user (BU); a control device (STG) for enabling a vehicle function if the biometric feature of the user that is detected by the biometric sensor device (BS; BS1-BS4, BSI) corresponds to a predetermined feature and, the position determining device (ZGS) detects the identification transmitter in a predetermined region (ANB) around or in the vehicle (FZ). The security of the access and/or starting apparatus is increased in this way.

Methods and systems for controlling use of shared machines

Systems and methods are provided for controlling a shared machine. The shared machine includes a mechanism that allows for an operational function of the shared machine to be controlled via a control system. A server system can process location information that indicates a location of the shared machine to determine whether the location corresponds to a non-permitted area. When the location corresponds to a non-permitted area, a command is generated to automatically place the mechanism in a first state so that the operational function of the shared machine is prevented from being enabled while the shared machine remains in the non-permitted area.

Lockable device for disabling a control lever
10414374 · 2019-09-17 · ·

A lockable device is arranged for blocking the control lever slot of a zero turn radius (ZTR) vehicle. In one embodiment, the lockable device includes a first portion and a second portion which adjust between a contracted position and an expanded position. The lockable device presents first and second projecting members which can be placed under the edges of a control lever slot of a ZTR vehicle. The lockable device may be contracted to be received by a ZTR control lever slot and then may be expanded so that the first and second projecting members of the lockable device are received under the edges of the control lever slot. The lockable device may also be integral within the vehicle. An integral lock or a padlock may be used to secure the lockable device in the expanded position in a control lever slot to prevent movement of a control lever.

System, method, and appartus for remotely disabling or enabling a vehicle

A system, method, and apparatus for disabling and/or enabling a vehicle. In one embodiment, the invention can be a method including transmitting a disable command to an electronic apparatus that is operably coupled to a vehicle. The electronic apparatus may be configured to transition the vehicle between an enabled state wherein operation of the vehicle is permitted and a disabled state wherein operation of the vehicle is prohibited. The method may further include, after the electronic apparatus receives the disable command, sending a test signal from the electronic apparatus to a remote server over a wireless network upon the vehicle being parked. When the test signal is not successfully sent to the remote server, the vehicle may remain in or be returned to the enabled state. When the test signal is successfully sent to the remote server, the vehicle may remain in or be returned to the disabled state.

VEHICLE THEFT PROTECTION SYSTEM

The invention relates to technology for protecting vehicles from unauthorized influence and can be used for installation on vehicle models equipped with a standard multiplex data exchange bus between electronic units and functional parts of the vehicle. The technical results consist in increasing the efficiency of vehicle protection against theft and increasing the reliability of the protection system. The main unit and actuators are connected without breaking the conductors to the standard digital line of the vehicle and to the analog line of the vehicle. The operating algorithm makes it difficult to determine the cause of vehicle immobilization.
