Locking mechanism for a motor
A locking mechanism for a motor is provided. The locking mechanism includes a detent mounted on a shaft coupled to the motor, and a solenoid including an electromagnetic coil, a plunger, and a spring that holds the plunger at an extended state. The plunger engages the detent at the extended state when no voltage is applied, and the spring is configured to exert a predetermined force for the plunger to engage the detent to lock the shaft. The plunger retracts away from the detent to allow rotation of the motor shaft when a voltage is applied to the solenoid.
Lockable steering wheel quick-release unit with anti-theft protection
A steering column lock comprises a bearing-mounted, free-rotating keyhole cover that covers an underlying locking device. When installed on the steering column of a vehicle, the steering column lock prevents a would-be car thief from grabbing the lock with pliers or another tool and using the lock to turn the steering column and thus drive the vehicle, because rotation of the free-rotating outer cover does not cause rotation of the other portions of the lock.

A key cylinder device includes a key cylinder attached inside a cylinder portion of a cylindrical mounting member and locked/unlocked by a mechanical key, and a packing insertion portion that is integrally formed on an outer surface of the key cylinder so as to have a shape without an undercut portion and includes an opening for insertion of a packing member in a vertical direction along the outer surface.

Steering lock
A steering lock locks a steering member with a lockbolt movable along an axis between locking and unlocking positions. A first member having a first cam surface is rotatable by an actuator in a first direction for locking the lockbolt. A second member having a second cam surface is engaged with the first cam surface. The second member is translatable along the axis in a locking direction by rotation of the first member. An unlocking spring is compressible through a range of movement of the second member in the first direction to store increasing potential energy. The cam surfaces are engaged such that unlocking of the lockbolt is carried out by the stored energy in the unlocking spring, which is released in a continuously increasing manner controlled by the actuator as the first member is rotated by the actuator in a second direction opposite the first direction.

A steering lock locks a steering member with a lockbolt movable along an axis between locking and unlocking positions. A first member having a first cam surface is rotatable by an actuator in a first direction for locking the lockbolt. A second member having a second cam surface is engaged with the first cam surface. The second member is translatable along the axis in a locking direction by rotation of the first member. Key cylinder device
A key cylinder device includes a cylindrical rotor case, a rotor rotatably enclosed in the rotor case, a sleeve fixedly disposed between the rotor and the rotor case, and a tumbler moving in a radial direction inside the rotor by insertion and extraction of a mechanical key into and from the rotor. The sleeve includes a hole not engaged with the tumbler by the insertion of the mechanical key and engaged by the extraction of the mechanical key, and a dividing wall formed at a middle of the hole, the dividing wall receiving the tumbler. A part of the dividing wall is engaged with a recessed groove formed on an inner peripheral surface of the rotor case.
VEHICLE MONITORING METHOD AND VEHICLE MONITORING DEVICE
A monitor monitors whether a person is present inside a vehicle that travels in an automated driving mode. The monitor also monitors the state of the vehicle. A controller performs one or more actions according to the result of monitoring of the monitor. This means that when one or more persons are present inside the vehicle, the controller performs one or more actions according to the state of the vehicle. In other words, when no person is present inside the vehicle, the controller does not perform one or more actions. Here, the controller generates control information for controlling the vehicle according to the result of the monitoring, and transmits it to the vehicle.
