System for managing a tractor-trailer and a method for the same
A system and method for managing a tractor-trailer and a method are provided. The system includes: a control server to manage a position of a trailer, identification information on the trailer, and identification information on a tractor matched to the trailer with respect to each hub; a trailer to authenticate the tractor by comparing the identification information, which is received from the control server, on the tractor, with identification information received from the tractor, and to release an electronic parking brake (EPB) when an authentication result for the tractor is correct; and a tractor to authenticate the trailer by comparing the identification information, which is received from the control server, on the trailer with identification information received from the trailer to authenticate the trailer, and to be coupled to the trailer, when an authentication result for the trailer is correct.
Steering system having anti-theft capabilities
A steering system for an autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle is provided. The steering system includes a controller that is in communication with an electric power steering system and a transmission control system. The controller is programmed to, in response to a first signal indicative of a non-verified operator and a request to operate, place the electric power steering system in a standby mode and inhibit the transmission control system from changing at least one of a transmission operational state and a transmission operational position.
Parking brake and anti-theft apparatus for cross-drilled brake systems
A parking brake and anti-theft apparatus as described herein may include a brake assembly, a linear actuator and a plurality of locking pins. The brake assembly may include a rotor plate. The rotor plate may include a plurality of openings in and/or through the rotor plate. The plurality of locking pins may be extendable by the linear actuator. The pins may be aligned perpendicular to a face of the rotor plate such that, as at least one of the pins is disposed over one of the plurality of openings and the actuator extends the plurality of locking pins, the pin disposed over the one of the plurality of openings passes into the one of the plurality of openings. In various embodiments, the plurality of pins may comprise a length equal to or greater than a length between two adjacent openings of the plurality of openings.

VEHICLE SECURITY DEVICE WITH MOBILE DEVICE CONTROL
A method for mobile device control of vehicle security features that includes monitoring the status of predetermined vehicle conditions of a vehicle. In response to detecting the activation of one or more of the predetermined vehicle conditions, the method also includes monitoring the vehicle to detect an execution of one or more preset authentication verification signals for the vehicle. In response to detecting no execution of any preset authentication verification signals for the vehicle, the method also includes, based on the predetermined vehicle settings, sending a security enablement command to the body control module (BCM) of the vehicle via the embedded software, and based on the security enablement command, enabling one or more security schemes via the BCM.

Lockable device for disabling a control lever
A lockable device is arranged for blocking the control lever slot of a zero turn radius (ZTR) vehicle. In one embodiment, the lockable device includes a first portion and a second portion which adjust between a contracted position and an expanded position. The lockable device presents first and second projecting members which can be placed under the edges of a control lever slot of a ZTR vehicle. The lockable device may be contracted to be received by a ZTR control lever slot and then may be expanded so that the first and second projecting members of the lockable device are received under the edges of the control lever slot. The lockable device may also be integral within the vehicle. An integral lock or a padlock may be used to secure the lockable device in the expanded position in a control lever slot to prevent movement of a control lever.
