09685073 · 2017-06-20 · ·

A computing device for use in selecting a range for communication between a key fob and a vehicle is described. The computing device is located in the vehicle. The computing device is configured to receive a designation of a desired range for communication between the vehicle and the key fob, and transmit a signal corresponding to the designated range to the key fob.

Data collection and aggregation with an electrically motorized vehicle

A system, method, and device for operations of an electrically motorized vehicle. The vehicle can utilize an electrically motorized wheel to convert a non-motorized wheeled vehicle to an electrically motorized wheeled vehicle. A system includes a communications module operable to communicate data to a server remote from the electrically motorized wheel and a data integration module in data communication with the server to integrate the data from the sensor system with data from a data source external to the electrically motorized wheel.

A system, method, and device for operations of an electrically motorized vehicle. The vehicle can utilize an electrically motorized wheel to convert a non-motorized wheeled vehicle to an electrically motorized wheeled vehicle. One method for controlling a device of the electrically motorized wheel includes calculating a set of parameters associated with a fitness level of the user for use in determining an amount of assistance a user will receive from the electrically motorized wheel.

PORTABLE, SELF-CONTAINED ANTI-THEFT VEHICLE ALARM SYSTEM WITH AUTOMATIC PROXIMITY CONTROL
20170136989 · 2017-05-18 ·

The components of the alarm system are fully enclosed within a portable housing and require no external power or data signal connections. A mobile transmitter generates a proximity signal indicating a given range from the vehicle. An audible alarm signal and a GPS location signal are generated in response to the output of one or more sensors indicating a particular occurrence, if a transmitter is outside of the given range, indicating that the driver has left the vehicle unattended and vulnerable to attack. When the vehicle is driven by an authorized driver having the transmitter, the received proximity signal indicates that the driver is within the given range, preventing the generation of the audible alarm resulting from sensors being triggered by shifting cargo in the cargo compartment resulting from vehicle movement and irregular road surface conditions during transit.

Disclosed is a system for detecting an operating state of a vehicle engine, for example, in order to arm or disarm a vehicle alarm system. The system comprises: an input coupled to a power line of a vehicle; means to filter out relatively high frequency transient noise components of a signal received from the power line; a first detector for receiving the filtered signal and detecting when transient noise associated with the power line rises above a first threshold and generating a first detection signal in response thereto; a second detector for receiving the filtered signal and detecting when the transient noise falls below a second threshold, which is lower than the first threshold, and generating a second detection signal in response thereto; and means for generating a first output signal in response to the first detection signal and a second output signal in response to the second detection signal.

Modular systems package for an electrically motorized vehicle

A system, method, and device for operations of an electrically motorized vehicle. The vehicle can utilize an electrically motorized wheel to convert a non-motorized wheeled vehicle to an electrically motorized wheeled vehicle. The device of the electrically motorized wheel can include a modular systems package including a control system operable to continuously control the device of the electrically motorized wheel in response to a user input.

A system, method, and device for operations of an electrically motorized vehicle. The vehicle can utilize an electrically motorized wheel to convert a non-motorized wheeled vehicle to an electrically motorized wheeled vehicle. One system is a physical therapy system including a prescription module to prescribe a physical therapy prescription for operation of the device of the electrically motorized wheel and a rehabilitation application in communication with the prescription module to calculate the set of control parameters based on the physical therapy prescription.

Panic Device with 2-Way Communication

A panic device operable in conjunction with a local device is configured to unlock a locking mechanism. The panic device can take the form of an electronic key fob, a key shaft, or a key holder. A first trigger on the panic device triggers a local alarm that is on-board or off-board the panic device. A second trigger on the panic device can activate an alarm circuitry that utilizes a local device to provide position information to a distant dispatch station. The local device uses a GPS-aware circuitry or other non-GPS means such as triangulation to determine the position information. The position information can then be sent to the distant dispatch station with or without the aid of the local device.

Contextual calibration of connected security device

A vehicle determines that a vehicle alarm system has been engaged and determines a local context applicable to the vehicle alarm system. The vehicle obtains an alarm system configuration mapping applicable in light of the local context. The vehicle changes sensitivity of one or more sensors associated with the alarm system based on the configuration mapping.

Systems and methods of security enhancement in a security panel are provided. Some systems can include a security system and a keyfob. The security system can identifies the keyfob, receive user input identifying a valid user pass code, and transmit the valid user pass code to the keyfob. The keyfob can save the received valid user pass code, receive user input identifying a first user input mechanism, receive user input identifying a sequence of user input mechanisms, determine whether the received sequence of user input mechanisms corresponds to the saved valid user pass code, and responsive to a valid correspondence, transmit a signal to the security system with instructions to execute an action associated with the first user input mechanism.
