Pick-up authentication via audible signals

A method including sending a communication to a user device associated with the user and receiving, at the autonomous vehicle, an audible authentication code. The communication can include a location of the autonomous vehicle. The location can be effective to assist the user device to audibly provide guidance from a location of the mobile device to the location of the autonomous vehicle. The audible authentication code can be effective to assist an authentication process between the autonomous vehicle and the user.

VEHICLE REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM, VEHICLE REMOTE CONTROL METHOD, SERVER, TERMINAL DEVICE, AND COMMUNICATION DEVICE

A vehicle remote control system includes a vehicle and a server configured to remote-control the vehicle via a communication device. The communication device comprises: an acquisition unit configured to acquire control information representing a control state of the vehicle from a control device configured to control the vehicle and voltage information from a power supply device configured to supply power to the vehicle; a transmission unit configured to transmit the control information and the voltage information to the server; a warning unit configured to, if the voltage information cannot be acquired, transmit a warning for notifying an abnormality of the vehicle to the server; and a processing suppression unit configured to, if the vehicle is in a maintenance state, suppress processing of the warning unit such that the warning is not transmitted.

SYSTEMS FOR THE AGGREGATION OF DATA WITH AN ELECTRICALLY MOTORIZED VEHICLE

A monitoring system is configured to monitor a property. The monitoring system includes a property sensor that is configured to generate property sensor data that reflects an attribute of the property. The monitoring system includes a vehicle sensor that is configured to generate vehicle sensor data that reflects an attribute of a vehicle associated with the property. The monitoring system includes a monitor control unit that is configured to analyze the property sensor data and the vehicle sensor data. The monitor control unit is further configured to, based on analyzing the property sensor data and the vehicle sensor data, determine that an event associated with the vehicle has likely occurred. The monitor control unit is further configured to, based on determining that the event associated with the vehicle has likely occurred, determine a monitoring system action. The monitor control unit is further configured to perform the monitoring system action.

REMOTE VEHICLE SYSTEM CONFIGURATION, CONTROL, AND TELEMATICS

A vehicle control system (VCS) includes external communication interfaces, such as a Bluetooth® interface, for communicating with a user communication and control device, such as a smart phone or a tablet. The user is enabled to operate certain features of the vehicle, such as the remote start, power locks/trunk, climate control, and security features, through the smart phone. The VCS may also communicate with a remote server via the user's smartphone, for example, providing telematics data and receiving service reminders for display to the user on the smartphone, the VCS, or a display built into the vehicle. The VCS may be custom installed in the vehicle using the user's or the installer's smartphone, without a physical connection from the VCS to the smartphone.

Vehicle security system

A vehicle security system for a vehicle deters break-ins with an infrared sensor that monitors the interior of the vehicle. When movement is detected by the infrared sensor, the lights and sirens of an armed vehicle are activated. The security system automatically arms when the ignition of the vehicle is turned off and automatically disarms when the ignition of the vehicle is turned on.

VEHICLE DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY WITH LIGHT SENSING MODULE
20220410794 · 2022-12-29 ·

A vehicular exterior door handle assembly includes a base portion configured to mount at an exterior door handle region of a vehicular door of a vehicle, a handle portion, and a sensing module that includes a light emitter and a light sensor. With the base portion of the handle assembly mounted at the exterior door handle region of the vehicular door, the light emitter is episodically energized to emit light. When the light emitter is not energized to emit light, the light sensor senses ambient light at the handle portion, and when the light emitter is energized to emit light, the light sensor senses emitted light emitted by the light emitter. The sensing module determines presence of a person's hand at the handle portion based at least in part on a difference between the sensed ambient light and the sensed emitted light being below a threshold light level.

Vehicle, information processing device, information processing method, and recording medium storing program

A vehicle includes a confirmation section that confirms, at a time of vehicle door locking, whether or not an information processing device configured to be used to perform the vehicle door locking, is inside the vehicle; a determination section that, in a case in which it has not been confirmed by the confirmation section that the information processing device is inside the vehicle, determines whether or not vibration or movement of the information processing device has been detected within a predetermined period of time from the door locking; and an actuation section that, in a case in which vibration or movement of the information processing device has not been detected by the determination section, actuates an alarm.

Vehicle and control method thereof

Provided is a vehicle, including: a communicator configured to perform communication with a user terminal or a remote control device; a sensor configured to acquire surrounding information of the vehicle; and a controller including a processor configured to process the surrounding information. The controller is configured to identify a location of the remote control device based on the communication and transmit a warning message to the user terminal when an obstruction is identified between the identified location of the remote control device and a location of the vehicle, based on processing the surrounding information.

Physically secured device for vehicle intrusion detection

A vehicle theft-prevention apparatus can include a locking mechanism with an engagement component. The locking mechanism can be engaged via a first action to apply a force on the vehicle when in an engaged state. The locking mechanism can disengage, via a second action, to withdraw the force from the vehicle when in the engaged state. The locking mechanism can maintain a current state of the force in response to the first action and the second action when in a disengaged state. One or more computing devices can receive a command to enable or disable the locking mechanism. In response to receiving the command, the computing device can cause the engagement component to transition the locking mechanism from the disengaged state to the engaged state or from an engaged state to a disengaged state.
