MULTIFACTOR AUTHENTICATION FOR VEHICLE OPERATION
A system for limiting vehicle operation is disclosed. The system may comprise one or more memory units for storing instructions and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to perform operations. The operations may comprise determining that a key device is inside the vehicle; performing an authentication; setting the vehicle in a first vehicle mode; starting the vehicle based on the determination and the first authentication; and limiting vehicle operation based on the first vehicle mode.
ARRANGEMENT FOR OPERATING ONE OR MORE WINDOWS INSTALLED IN A VEHICLE
An arrangement for operating one or more windows (S1-S4, SF, SH), which are installed in a vehicle (FZ) and in particular delimit a passenger compartment (FGZ) and whose optical properties can be changed by electrical actuation, comprises a position-determining device (ZGA) for determining the position (P1-P3) of an object (IDG1) which is located outside the vehicle (FZ). In addition, the arrangement has a control device (STG, AST) which is configured to actuate the one or more windows (S1-S4, SF, SH) as a function of the position, determined by the position-determining device, and in particular the distance.
OBD device vehicle security alarm detection
Embodiments for an on-board diagnostics (OBD) device are provided herein. The OBD device can monitor a voltage of a battery power contact via a voltage sensor and determine based on changes in the voltage whether a vehicle security alarm of a vehicle has been set-off. If it is determined that the vehicle alarm has been set-off, the OBD device can send an alert to a remote device via a wireless transceiver, wherein the alert indicates that the vehicle security alarm has been set-off.
Door glass welcome system
A door glass welcome system includes a door glass configured to be installed at a door of a vehicle, a glass moving portion disposed to move the door glass, a screen configured to display an image on the door glass, and a power connection blocking portion configured to supply or block power to the screen. The power connection blocking portion may include a fixing member that is disposed to move together with the door glass and that is electrically connected to the screen, a contact member that is fixed to a vehicle body to selectively contact the fixing member according to a moving position of the fixing member, and a power supply portion that supplies power to the contact member and supplies power to the screen through the fixing member.
DETECTOR, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING VEHICLE LOCK STATUS
A detector, system and method for detecting vehicle lock status are provided. The detector comprises a motion sensor configured to sense vehicle door open and close movement; a microphone configured to record sound patterns generated with targeted events; a wireless communication module; a memory for storage; a battery for supplying power; and a controller connected to the motion sensor, microphone, wireless communication module, memory and battery respectively and configured to switch on or off the microphone and the wireless communication module according to signals provided by the motion sensor, and control the wireless communication module to transmit sound files wirelessly. The detector is designed and sized to be attached to the vehicle door. The detector is easy to use, easy to install, yet affordable for detecting the lock status of the vehicle and show the lock status on the driver's smart phone even if he/she has walked away.

Vehicle theft avoidance systems and associated methods
A vehicle theft avoidance system for improving vehicle security is disclosed. The system includes an awareness system configured to detect an unauthorized object near a vehicle, and a control system in communication with the awareness system and configured to automatically issue a warning if the awareness system detects the unauthorized object near the vehicle.
Systems amd methods for accessing a vehicle using a single, exterior control
An access system for a vehicle includes a first vehicle subsystem configured to control access to an interior compartment of the vehicle, an actuator mounted on the vehicle and movable between first and second positions, and a controller coupled to the actuator and configured to: detect a first actuation sequence of the actuator, the first actuation sequence corresponding to an access code; during the first actuation sequence of the actuator, provide an audible, visual, or tactile response from the vehicle, by causing activation of a vehicle system; compare the access code to an authorization code; and generate a first control signal configured to cause the first vehicle subsystem to switch between a first state and a second state when the access code corresponds to the authorization code.
