Driver authentication for vehicle-sharing fleet
A method and system are disclosed and include, in response to a user being located within a vehicle associated with the vehicle-sharing request, obtaining, using a processor configured to execute instructions stored in a nontransitory computer-readable medium, image data corresponding to the user from a camera. The method also includes determining, using the processor, whether the image data corresponds to an image associated with a vehicle-sharing account of the user. The method also includes in response to determining the image data corresponds to the image, enabling, using the processor, the user to activate the vehicle.
Authorized Operation of Vehicles
A system enabling a candidate driver to start and operate a vehicle has computerized circuitry coupled to ignition circuitry and to a data repository, the computerized circuitry is adapted to sense whether an ignition switch of the vehicle is open or closed and is adapted to enable or disable ignition voltage. The computerized circuitry communicates wirelessly with a portable communication device, like a smartphone, that stores a list of identities of drivers authorized to operate the vehicle. If a candidate driver is on the list the candidate may start and operate the vehicle, if not, not.
Concept for Provision of a Key Signal or an Immobilizer Signal for a Vehicle
A method for a device for a vehicle is disclosed, wherein the device comprises a key chip. The method comprises obtaining information relating to the release of a key signal or of an immobilizer signal from a central computer via a wireless mobile communication system. The method further comprises providing a control signal to the key chip based on the information relating to the release of the key signal or of the immobilizer signal, wherein the control signal is designed to allow the key chip to generate the key signal or the immobilizer signal. The method further comprises providing the key signal and/or the immobilizer signal, by the key chip, via a wireless communication link to a central locking system and/or an immobilizer system of the vehicle after the control signal is obtained.
Method for granting access and driving authorisations
A method for granting access and driving authorizations and driving commands to be carried out, in the form of a data format, for a vehicle. A plurality of data processing systems of different user groups, which exchange the data format via a plurality of communication connections, are used, and an exchange undertakes the distribution of the data format among the respective involved user groups and into the vehicle.
Key information management device, key information management method, and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium
A key information management device includes an information processing device. The information processing device is configured to deliver key information to a mobile terminal as the mobile terminal transmits a predetermined transmission signal toward a vehicle. The key information is information for unlocking the vehicle, starting the vehicle, or unlocking and starting the vehicle. The information processing device is configured to register permission for a user of the vehicle to use a predetermined service using the vehicle. The permission is permission to cause the information processing device to deliver the key information to a mobile terminal of a third party concerned with the predetermined service, other than the user of the vehicle.
Use of interpretive meta-instructions to implement various RKE protocols
Interpretive meta-instructions are used, at a connected vehicle access system (CVAS) device, to implement various RKE protocols by: receiving an RKE-protocol-specific meta-instruction that has been generated by a back-end server; generating an RKE telegram based on the RKE-protocol-specific meta-instruction; and transmitting the RKE telegram to a vehicle. The meta-instruction may include: a device configuration that specifies a set of RF parameters of a CVAS-device transceiver; a template telegram that contains a first set of data fields with data values from the back-end server and that contains a second set of data fields for which data values will be generated and inserted at the CVAS device; and localization-processing commands containing instructions for modifying the second set of data fields of the template telegram.
Authorized operation of vehicles
A system for starting a vehicle has a first apparatus having a microprocessor, a first data repository, a normally open electrical imposed between positive vehicle battery voltage and a keyed ignition switch, and a second electronic apparatus comprising a second microprocessor executing second coded instructions from a non-transitory medium, the second microprocessor coupled with the first microprocessor, a second data repository coupled to the second microprocessor and storing a list of identities of drivers authorized to operate the vehicle, and an input mechanism enabling a candidate driver to identify to the second microprocessor. The candidate driver identifies to the second microprocessor by the input mechanism, the second microprocessor, executing the second coded instructions, determines if the driver identity matches an identity on the list drivers authorized to operate the vehicle, and if so, causes the first microprocessor to close the normally open contact.
Secure access to vehicle using biometric identifier
Secure access to a vehicle is described, in which one or more biometric identifiers of a user may be utilized to enable the vehicle. The user may not operate the vehicle without satisfying security measures based on his/her biometric identifier generated from various biological traits. In some embodiments, an artificial engine and/or algorithm may be combined to facilitate the authentication process to determine whether the user is authorized to use the vehicle. The secure access features may also manage a list of biometric identifiers of the authorized users. In some instances, the secure access features may be temporarily disabled. Further, individual parts of the vehicle may be associated with a unique identifier of the vehicle (which may include a vehicle identification number), and/or may be configured to transmit their geological locations determined by a global positioning system (GPS).
APPROACH-BASED VEHICLE SYSTEM ACTUATION
A system and method for actuating a vehicle system tracks approach to the vehicle and determines propriety of system actuation based upon trajectory information and other conditions.
Electric vehicle
Provided is an electric vehicle. The electric vehicle includes: a first power source, a target component and an electrical control component integrated to the target component; the first power source is connected with the electrical control component and is configured to supply the power to the electrical control component; and the electrical control component is configured to unlock, under a condition in which the electric vehicle is locked, when target information matched with a stored target account number is detected, the electric vehicle. With the disclosure, the problems of complex structural design and troublesome unlocking operation of the electric vehicle in the related art are solved.
