SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A DIGITAL KEY
Systems of an electrical vehicle and the operations thereof are provided. A method for controlling access to a vehicle includes a processor of a vehicle control system determining a signal strength for sensors of a vehicle. The processor determines a location of a user device based on the determined signal strength for the sensors. The processor enables a gesture recognition system based on the determination of the location of the user device. The processor receives data from the user device, determines a type of gesture associated with the received data from the user device, and activates one or more functions of the vehicle based on the determined type of gesture.
Radar-based vehicle perimeter security and control
A method and system perform perimeter security and control of a vehicle. The system includes a radar system arranged in the vehicle, a maximum range of the radar system being less than 100 meters, and a communication unit to communicate with the radar system. The system also includes a control system of the vehicle to control the platform based on the radar system. The control system dynamically controls each door of the vehicle according to a location of the communication unit relative to the platform.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF GESTURE DETECTION FOR A REMOTE DEVICE
A method for operating a mobile device includes detecting a gesture by the mobile device. Detecting the gesture includes receiving a reflected millimeter wave signal by the mobile device, generating a first message in accordance with the detected gesture, and transmitting the first message from the mobile device to an external remote device. The detected gesture is associated with an operation of the remote device.
Integrated silent vehicle alarm
A system and method for triggering a silent alarm notification in the event the vehicle occupant comes under attack and needs to discretely signal for help. The system includes an integrated silent vehicle alarm that is triggered by the vehicle occupant by entering a pre-programmed silent alarm sequence. The silent alarm sequence is entered using OEM-installed manually actuatable devices such as door or steering wheel switches located within the vehicle. These manually actuatable devices have dual functions: a primary vehicle related function (such as opening/closing a window) and a secondary function as input devices for the silent alarm sequence. In this way the silent alarm signal utilizes devices already present in the vehicle and requires no new installation or placement of new devices. The silent alarm notification is wirelessly sent to a remote facility for vehicle tracking and emergency response.
DEPLOYABLE VEHICLE DOOR HANDLE
A vehicle door handle is provided that includes a deployable handle body located on a door, keypad contacts on an outer side of the handle body, an actuator configured to deploy the handle to a deployed position, a plurality of proximity sensors located on the handle body and generating activation fields, and a controller processing signals generated by the sensors to determine an input command for controlling the actuator and to determine a keypad input. The controller may sense ice on the handle and determine ice thickness and may control the actuator to break the ice based on the ice thickness.
METHOD FOR AUTHENTICATING A USER, A SYSTEM AND A TRANSPORTATION VEHICLE
A method for authenticating a user of a transportation vehicle, a system to perform the method and a transportation vehicle equipped with the system. A position and/or a movement gradient of an authorized user is/are determined based on received impulse responses of emitted UWB impulses and/or based on a result of channel impulse response (CIR) measurements using UWB signals, and the authorized user is authenticated based on this information.
Automated door system
Methods and systems are provided for an automated door system for a vehicle. In one example, the method for a vehicle may include operating an automated door system to enable hands-free actuation of a set of door vehicles while the height of the vehicle is not changing and when the vehicle height is changing, suspending operation of the automated door system until the floor has stopped changing height.
VEHICLES, VEHICLE DOOR UNLOCKING CONTROL METHODS AND APPARATUSES, AND VEHICLE DOOR UNLOCKING SYSTEMS
Vehicle door unlocking control methods, apparatuses, and systems for vehicles. The vehicle door unlocking control method can be carried out by the apparatuses and systems and includes: obtaining an acquisition trigger signal; controlling, based on the acquisition trigger signal, a first camera assembly disposed on a vehicle to acquire a first face image of a user; performing feature matching between the first face image and a pre-stored second face image; performing living body detection on the first face image; and sending a vehicle door unlocking instruction to at least one vehicle door lock of the vehicle in response to successful feature matching and successful living body detection. This door unlocking solution may be used to provide face-based vehicle door opening in a safe, convenient and reliable manner.
VEHICULAR EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY
A vehicular exterior door handle assembly includes a base portion configured to mount at an exterior door handle region of a vehicular door, a handle portion, and a sensing device operable to sense presence of a person's fingers in a pocket region behind the lower portion of the handle. The handle portion is pivotable between a non-deployed orientation, where an outer surface of the handle portion is coplanar with an outer surface of the vehicular door at the exterior door handle region, and a deployed orientation, where the handle portion is pivoted inward into a door handle pocket within the vehicular door. With the handle in the deployed orientation and when a person's fingers are in the pocket region, the sensing device senses presence of the person's fingers at the pocket region and triggers an actuator of the vehicular exterior door handle assembly to unlatch the vehicular door.
