THERAPEUTIC MAT
A therapeutic tool, and method for using it, for integrating motor, sensory and cognitive skills and progressively developing coordination and cognitive functioning. In a preferred embodiment, a mat is provided with colored shapes forming a figure-8 path. The shapes may be colored differently to progress along the figure-8 path. The shapes may be lights, and a computer may be used to program the lights, or provide music, to prompt the user to progress along the figure-8 path.
SPEED AND AGILITY TRAINING SET
The present invention provides for equipment, systems, and methods of using a multipurpose agility training set comprising of a plurality of agility posts, cords, cones and markers, which may be used individually or in combination. When the posts are in an upright position they are a visual indicator. A flexible cord can be used to removably attach the posts. The conical shaped cones define a plurality of cone apertures which are capable of accepting a crossbar to create a hurdle. And the marker is a substantially flat panel having an aperture with a diameter wide enough to receive a hand.
Upper limb rehabilitation training system in two-person standing type and application method thereof
An upper limb rehabilitation training system in two-person standing type and an application method thereof are provided. The upper limb rehabilitation training system includes an upper limb rehabilitation training platform, two weight-reducing suspending support structures arranged oppositely, and two standing frames arranged oppositely; the upper limb rehabilitation training platform includes an all-in-one computer which includes a computer and a touch display screen, and a periphery of the touch display screen is provided with a grating structure; the upper limb rehabilitation training platform is provided with a two-person interactive upper limb training module including two control handles, a virtual training prop and a virtual training scene. The two control handles are suspended from the two weight-reducing suspending support structures, respectively; the grating structure is configured to identify the control handles and positions thereof. The computer controls the two control handles to perform game interaction with the virtual training prop.
Balance trainer exercise device
A balance tension exercise device includes a pair of spaced platforms interconnected by two rigid bars. A plurality of flexible straps span the two platforms. The bars have differing widths to provide different levels of difficulty by a user walking from one platform to another over the bars. Similarly, the straps have different widths to provide other levels of difficulty. Each platform may comprise the top wall of a box. One of the boxes is larger than the other box so that all of the components of the device can be stored in the larger box.
Exercise devices and methods with retractable cords
An exercise apparatus includes a first cord, a second cord, and an adjustment mechanism. The first cord is pullable from and retractable around a first pulley. The second cord is pullable from and retractable around a second pulley. The adjustment mechanism allows for adjusting a pull-out tension provided by the first cord independently of a retraction tension provided by the first cord. The pull-out tension provided by the first cord is a tension provided by the first cord when the first cord is pulled from the first pulley. The retraction tension provided by the first cord is a tension provided by the first cord when the first cord is retracted around the first pulley.
ACTIVE ARM PASSIVE LEG EXERCISE MACHINE WITH GUIDED LEG MOVEMENT
An exercise machine has a main frame, two base link members supported for cyclical movement on base tracks on the main frame, two handles pivotal about a handle axis on the frame in which the handles are operatively connected to the base link members respectively such that a cyclical movement of the handles drives the cyclical movement of the respective base link members, a foot support carried on each base link member for supporting a respective foot of the user thereon through a walking motion of the user as the base link members are moved cyclically, a torso support on the main frame supporting a torso of the user thereon having one or more degrees of freedom relative to the main frame, and leg linkages connected between the main frame and respective ones of the base link members with bracing to secure legs of the user therein.
Methods and apparatus for balance support systems
An apparatus includes a plate configured to support a user standing thereon, a set of fluid chambers configured to support at least a portion of the plate, and an electronic assembly in communication with at least one sensor. The sensor configured to sense a first operating condition associated with at least one of the set of fluid chambers and the plate. The electronic assembly is configured to define a second operating condition based at least in part on a difference between the first operating condition and a predetermined operating condition. The electronic assembly is configured to send (1) a first signal operable to transition each fluid chamber from a first configuration, associated with the first operating condition, to a second configuration, associated with the second operating condition, and (2) a second signal operable to graphically represent data associated with the second operating condition on a display of an electronic device.
BILATERAL LEFT AND RIGHT BRAIN COORDINATION ACTIVITY SYSTEM
The current invention is a Bilateral Brain Coordination Activity System requiring simultaneous performance of a set of tasks assigned to two or more extremities, e.g. hand, finger and foot. The purpose of this invention is to enhance coordination between left and right brain. The set of tasks consist of symmetric or asymmetric differentiated motions, wherein each motion requiring a distinct brain command, and therefore bilateral brain coordination. The system employs a mechanical and/or interactive digital platform with handheld or stationary devices, or rideable equipment. Difficulty level varies with the selected set of tasks, their spatial and planar arrangement and the number of involved extremities. This invention is appropriate for all ages to improve bilateral coordination and motor skill, and can be for individual use, sportsman and military training, identification of motor skill deficits, therapeutic development of compromised motor skill, and/or entertainment or game use.
TRAINING APPARATUS FOR FENCING
A training apparatus for fencing, the training apparatus including: (a) a movement mechanism having an extended state and a retracted state, the movement mechanism adapted to be coupled to a support structure on a first end thereof; (b) a target platform, the target operationally coupled to a second end of the movement mechanism; and (c) a computing component, the computing component electronically coupled to the movement mechanism and configured to control movement of the movement mechanism between the extended state and the retracted state.
Gait training exercise and analysis systems for body support systems with adjustable user body weight force
Gait analysis systems are provided with body support systems for user's self-adjustment of body weight force when ambulating with the body support systems. The gait analysis systems with the body support systems can be used with a treadmill or over a fixed surface for gait training and analysis with the ability to adjust the user's body weight force during the collection of gait data. Gait data for analysis is collected by an array of sensors mounted on the body support systems in various combinations for sensing gait movement, video imaging, heel strike and toe off states, video processing, feet pressure maps and electromyography.
