AUTHENTICATION ARRANGEMENT AND SYSTEM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
An authentication arrangement for a motor vehicle includes an immobilize transponder, a first reception device, a control device and, optionally, a transmission and reception device. The immobilize transponder is switchable at least between an active operating state, which causes deactivation of the engine immobilizer, and an inactive operating state. The control device is designed to respond to a prescribed control signal captured by the first reception device by outputting a switching signal for switching the operating state of the immobilize transponder to the active operating state. An authentication system and a use of the authentication system are also disclosed.
Modular vehicle with detachable modules that exchange information and power wirelessly
A personal vehicle having quick detachable modules and wireless communication between modules. In one embodiment, a scooter is provided that has a chassis frame and a vehicle body module detachably attached to the frame chassis. The vehicle body module includes one or more batteries. The scooter also includes a rear wheel module having a hub motor detachably attached to the frame chassis, and a controller that directs power from the battery to the hub motor and wirelessly transmits data between the modules to enable vehicle operation.

VEHICLE INHIBITOR WITH OVERRIDE SYSTEM AND METHOD
Aspects of the present disclosure generally pertain to a system and method for overriding a vehicle inhibitor. This disclosure may be useful for providing an emergency override function for vehicle loan repayment enforcement systems that have wireless user interface modules, and that have become lost or inoperable when needed to generate an emergency override signal. Further, the present disclosure addresses this problem while mitigating additional system cost and additional components. This disclosure includes a method of providing an emergency override function for vehicle loan repayment enforcement systems that have wireless user interface modules, and that have become lost or inoperable when needed to generate an emergency override signal. Further this disclosure includes a method of providing a disablement override function for vehicle loan repayment enforcement systems, wired or wireless, that allows vehicle operation past the grace period in those locations where complete disablement may be limited.

VEHICLE CONTROLLER, VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A vehicle controller includes: a remote operation reception unit which receives a remote operation of a vehicle; a steering lock recognition unit which recognizes a steering lock state where a steering is locked by a steering lock mechanism; a travel start operation recognition unit which recognizes an operation for starting travel of the vehicle; and a control unit which starts a drive source of the vehicle and turns the vehicle to a predetermined standby mode when an activation instruction for the vehicle is received by the remote operation reception unit in a state where the steering lock state is recognized, and stops the drive source when the operation for starting the travel of the vehicle in the vehicle is recognized by the travel start operation recognition unit in the standby mode.

KEY UNIT AND VEHICLE HAVING KEY UNIT
A key unit authenticates a portable terminal based on information acquired from the portable terminal and controls locking and unlocking of a target by transmitting a signal to a locking and unlocking device. The key unit includes: a first communication unit configured to receive a request signal transmitted in a first frequency band from the locking and unlocking device; a controller configured to authenticate the portable terminal and process signals transmitted to and received from the locking and unlocking device; a second communication unit configured to perform short-range wireless communication with the portable terminal in a second frequency band; and a substrate on which the first communication unit, the controller, and the second communication unit are mounted. The first communication unit and the second communication unit are mounted at positions facing each other across the controller, on the substrate.
SYSTEM TO DETECT, TRACK, WARN, SHUT DOWN AND/OR LOCKOUT AN INDUSTRIAL VEHICLE ENTERING AN UNSAFE AREA
A system is provided for use in an industrial loading dock wherein the location of an industrial vehicle is detected and tracked in real-time, and one or more safety zones are created such that a computer or microcontroller triggers a response in the industrial vehicle upon the vehicle's entry into each such zone. The system includes a plurality of anchor radio transceivers positioned in proximity to a workspace. Each anchor radio transceiver is positioned in a known location such that the plurality of anchor radio transceivers form a fixed array of anchor radio transceivers. At least one mobile radio transceiver associated with a mobile industrial vehicle is also provided. The mobile radio transceiver is configured to exchange data packets of information with one or more of the plurality of anchor radio transceivers. A computer is provided that is in communication with the fixed array of radio transceivers. The computer is capable of determining the coordinate location of the mobile radio transceiver based on the received data packets of information. The computer is further capable of defining one or more safety zones at any location within the workspace such that a programmed action is taken when the mobile radio transceiver enters one of the one or more safety zones.
AUTO SECURITY AND AUTO SAFETY SYSTEM
A method for implementing security on a vehicle, comprising integrating an auto device on the vehicle; receiving, at the auto device, input from a remote device to authenticate the remote device to the auto device; verifying, at the auto device, that the remote device is a first authenticated remote device or one of a sequence of at least one subsequently authenticated remote devices; and enabling a security related function of the vehicle upon receiving, at the auto device, instruction from the remote device if the remote device is a first authenticated remote device.
