Energy supply circuit for electric components
09789830 · 2017-10-17 · ·

The invention relates to an energy supply circuit of electric components, in particular for a motor vehicle, having an accumulator, wherein a discharge monitoring circuit monitors the energy stored in the accumulator. If the energy stored in the accumulator falls below a threshold value, the discharge monitoring circuit switches off the energy supply at least of individual components, in particular of all components.

A battery-protecting apparatus is electrically connected to a secondary battery, a generator and a load unit of a vehicle. The generator provides electricity to the battery via the battery-protecting apparatus. The battery provides electricity to the load unit via the battery-protecting apparatus. The battery-protecting apparatus includes a detection unit, a switch, a processor, a controlling unit, a discharging loop, a wireless communication unit and a security loop.

Vehicle anti-theft device

An anti-theft device 10 is operatively connected to a vehicle drivetrain, downstream of a power plant. To this end, a gear 12 is mounted for rotation together with a driveshaft 13. The device 10 further includes a pivotally mounted locking pawl 17 which is movable relative to the gear 12 between an open position in which a profiled head 18 of the pawl 17 is spaced away from a periphery of the gear 12 such that the gear 12 is permitted to rotate freely together with the driveshaft 13, and a locked position, in which the profiled head 18 of the pawl 17 engages the gear 12 and prevents rotation thereof, thereby locking the driveshaft 13 in position. The device includes an actuator 23 and ECU 22 in a tamper-proof casing 27. The ECU controls engagement of the pawl depending upon a position of a handbrake and ignition switch.

VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE, VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

A vehicle control device includes an imaging unit that images surroundings of a vehicle, a detection unit that detects a face of a person in the surroundings with a first accuracy using an imaging result of the imaging unit operating at a first power consumption, a user determination unit that operates the imaging unit with a second power consumption higher than the first power consumption when the face is detected by the detection unit, and determines whether or not the face detected by the detection unit is a face of a registered user registered in advance with a second accuracy higher than the first accuracy using the imaging result of the imaging unit operating with the second power consumption, a lock release unit that releases a lock of a door according to a result of the determination in the user determination unit, and a setting unit that sets a detection area in which the face is detected by the detection unit as a determination prohibition area in which the determination by the user determination unit is not performed when the user determination unit determines that the face is not the face of the registered user.

Control device

A control device includes: an input unit to which a first signal is input from a detection unit detecting an operation for an opening-closing body; and a control unit generates a second signal for operating the opening-closing body, based on the first signal, wherein the control unit can be switched between a first power consumption mode and a second power consumption mode in which less power is consumed, and the control unit can be switched between a first state where the second power consumption mode is switched to the first power consumption mode, based on a first condition, and a second state where the second power consumption mode is switched to the first power consumption mode, based on a second condition on which the second power consumption mode is less likely to be switched to the first power consumption mode.

POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM HAVING WIRELESS SECURITY MODULE FOR VEHICLES
20170217405 · 2017-08-03 ·

A power supply system having a wireless security module for vehicles is provided. The power supply system comprises a battery module, a power management module, an energy management module and the wireless security module. The battery module powers a starting motor of a vehicle. The power management module is used to receive a power from a power generating device. The power management module transmits the power of the power generating device into the battery module. The power management module comprises a monitoring unit and a controlling unit. The monitoring unit is used to monitor a voltage value of the battery module. When the voltage value monitored is equal to a minimum setting, the power management module is used to prevent the battery module from powering the starting motor. When the voltage value monitored is equal to a maximum setting, the power management module stops powering the battery module. The controlling unit is used to control a current value outputted from the battery module. Furthermore, when the voltage value of the battery module is equal to the maximum setting, the energy management module is used to receive a power from the power generating device. The power is transmitted into the vehicle by the energy management module.

IN-VEHICLE POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM

An in-vehicle power supply system includes multiple power supply hubs, multiple electronic device, which are connected to the power supply hubs through auxiliary feeder cables, and a control unit which controls on and off of power supply to the electronic devices. The control unit has an approach determination unit, which determines whether a passenger has approached the vehicle, and a power supply start controller, which switches on power supply to at least one of the electronic devices when the approach determination unit determines that the passenger has approached the vehicle.

Remotely activated vehicle anti-theft device

A remotely activated vehicle anti-theft device 10 and system 50 for preventing vehicle theft is provided. The device 10 is moved between unlocked, locked and priority locked states using either a wireless vehicle remote 51 or a mobile phone 52. The mobile phone 52 enjoys priority over the remote control 51 and overrides it when the device is in its priority locked state. It includes a pivotal locking member 17 which is movable between an open position (unlocked state) in which the member is spaced away from a gear 12, permitting it to rotate freely, and a locked position (locked and priority locked states), in which the member 17 engages the gear 12 and prevents rotation thereof, thereby immobilising a vehicle. The device 10 includes an ECU 22, wireless communication module 34, actuator 23, GPS 6 and speed sensor 7 housed in a tamper-proof casing 27.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IMMOBILIZING A VEHICLE

A device may receive an arming signal associated with immobilizing a vehicle. The device may monitor, based on receiving the arming signal, a current associated with an electrical power output from a battery of the vehicle. The device may detect that a measurement of the current satisfies a threshold associated with an ignition component starting an engine of the vehicle. The device may control, based on detecting that the current satisfies the threshold, a bypass circuit to reduce the electrical power output to prevent the ignition component from starting the engine.
