Vehicle and portable device

A vehicle includes an electric power reception unit that is configured to receive electric power that is required to activate a system of the vehicle, from a portable device that is portable, the portable device including an electrical storage device provided therein, and the portable device being configured to carry out at least one of authentication of a user of the vehicle and issuance of a command to activate the system.

VEHICLE POWER MANAGEMENT

Upon identifying an authorized user approaching a vehicle, vehicle locks are controlled to permit the authorized user to access an authorized area based on a user authorization. Permitted vehicle features within the authorized area for the authorized user are identified based on the user authorization. Upon receiving a user input selecting one permitted vehicle feature, the selected permitted vehicle feature is actuated based on determining that a state of charge of a battery is above a charge threshold. Upon determining that the state of charge of the battery decreases below the charge threshold, actuation of the selected permitted vehicle feature is stopped. Then an engine is controlled to charge the battery based on the user authorization.

VEHICLE OBJECT DETECTION

While a vehicle is in a minimal power state, a first sensor is activated based on a location of the vehicle within a monitored area. The vehicle is transitioned to an on state based on detecting an object via data from the first sensor. Then the vehicle is operated to block an exit from the monitored area based on identifying the object as an unauthorized object.

A control device has an arithmetic unit that controls onboard devices of a mobile body. The arithmetic unit includes: a first functional section that is actuated regardless of a status of the mobile body and generates a control signal to one or more of the onboard devices; second functional sections that are each actuated in accordance with the status of the mobile body and each generate a control signal to the onboard devices other than the one or more onboard devices; power transmitters disposed in a power transmission path between a power source and the respective second functional sections; and a power source controller that controls supply and cutoff of power to the second functional sections in accordance with the status of the mobile body. The first functional section and the power source controller are mounted on a single chip configured as an integrated circuit.

The at least one sensor configured to sense measurements proximate to a vehicle. The at least one computing device can be configured to read a plurality of first measurements of the at least one sensor at a predetermined frequency, where the at least one sensor is located in a first position of the vehicle. The at least one computing device can be configured to receive a plurality of second measurements from at least one additional theft-prevention apparatus, where the at least one additional theft-prevention apparatus is located at a second position in the vehicle. The at least one computing device can determine that a person has entered the vehicle based on at least one of: the plurality of first measurements and the plurality of second measurements.

Point-of-interest-based anti-vehicle theft systems and processes for using the same

A sensing device can include at least one sensor, positioning circuitry, a transceiver, and a computing device in communication with the at least one sensor, the positioning circuitry, and the transceiver. The computing device can determine a location of a vehicle via the positioning circuitry. The computing device can determine that a point of interest (POI) associated with a predefined category of POIs corresponds to the location. The computing device, via the transceiver, can determine that a person is moving away from the vehicle based on a measurement associated with a remote device. The computing device can enter into an armed mode in response to the determinations. The computing device can detect an intrusion into a vehicle while in the armed mode based at least in part on measurements from the at least one sensor. The computing device can generate an alarm in response to the intrusion.

VEHICLE WITH SMART KEY SYSTEM

Provided is a vehicle with a smart key system that can suppress damage to vehicles original driving performance. The vehicle includes a driving control unit for controlling driving of the vehicle. An in-vehicle device includes: an in-vehicle communication unit including an in-vehicle transmitter for transmitting a search signal for searching a mobile device at a predetermined field strength; and a communication control unit for controlling communication of the in-vehicle communication unit. The in-vehicle device or the mobile device includes a control switch for starting or stopping a main power supply of the driving control unit. After the main power supply of the driving control unit is started by the control switch and at least before the vehicle starts driving, the communication control unit controls the in-vehicle transmitter to implement a limitation to set a low or zero field strength of the search signal transmitted from the in-vehicle transmitter.
