Vehicle control system and mobile device used as vehicle key fob
An apparatus includes a vehicle control system (VCS) coupled to a computer of a vehicle via a CAN bus and configured to present selectively appearance of a presence in the vehicle of a smartkey, e.g., by energizing and de-energizing an actual smartkey of the vehicle. The VCS includes a VCS and a Bluetooth VCS transceiver. The VCS stores VCS software. The apparatus also includes a smartphone with a Bluetooth transceiver, and storing an app. The mobile device is paired with the VCS to communicate with the VCS via a Bluetooth link. The app configures the smartphone to receive menu selections from a user, to generate communications that identify smartkey-enabled features of the VCS that correspond to the selections, and to send to the VCS the communications through the link. The VCS software configures the VCS to receive the communications and cause the vehicle to perform actions corresponding to the communications.
MOBILE DEVICE AND VEHICLE ELECTRONIC KEY SYSTEM
A mobile device wirelessly communicates with a vehicle device. The mobile device includes a receiving unit, a response signal generation unit, a transmission unit, a charging unit, and a charge state determination unit. The receiving unit receives a response request signal transmitted from the vehicle device. The response signal generation unit generates a response signal in response to the response request signal. The transmission unit transmits the response signal. The charging unit charges a built-in battery with an electric power supplied wirelessly or through wire from a power supply device. The charge state determination unit determines whether the charging unit charges the built-in battery. The mobile device is configured not to transmit the response signal, in a situation where the charge state determination unit determines that the charging unit is charging the built-in battery.
EMERGENCY ACTUATING DEVICE FOR A MOVABLE PART OF A VEHICLE
An emergency actuating device for a closing system of a movable part of a vehicle, in particular of a door, sliding door, flap or tailgate, having at least one energy store, a communication unit for wireless communication with an ID transponder, and an electronics unit for activating a lock of the movable part, whereby the lock of the movable part can be transferred from a locking position into an unlocking position or vice versa.
AUTOMATIC SHUTDOWN DEVICE FOR BATTERY-POWERED ELECTRONICS
Apparatus, methods, and systems according to which shutdown features are provided to battery-powered electronics. An automatic shutdown device detects periods in which the battery-powered electronics are motionless using a sensor and, based on such detection, disconnects the battery from the battery-powered electronics using an electronic switch, rendering the battery-powered electronics inoperable. In addition, the automatic shutdown device is able to reenergize the battery-powered electronics using the electronic switch once motion is detected by the sensor so that the battery-powered electronics can resume normal operations. In several embodiments, the battery-powered electronics include a keyless fob associated with a vehicle and the automatic shutdown device is part of a vehicle theft prevention system.
ACCESS CONTROLLER FOR VEHICLES, COMPRISING A SECURITY DEVICE
Access control equipment for vehicles with an electronic remote key which is accommodated in a housing, includes a controller that is designed for temporary activation of the remote key. The controller has an interface for wireless communication and is designed to cause an activation of the remote key in dependence on a wireless communication. A voltage supply is coupled to the controller and the remote key. The voltage supply, under actuation from the controller, applies an electrical breakdown voltage via at least one contact of the remote key for at least a first predetermined duration, which is greater than a designated operating voltage for the remote key, in order to destroy the remote key by the resulting current flow.
THREE-LEVEL MOTION DETECTOR USING ACCELEROMETER DEVICE IN KEY FOB APPLICATION
A remote access device and methods of operation thereof are provided for accessing a physical object or location. The remote access device includes an accelerometer, a wireless transmitter, and control circuitry. The control circuitry causes the wireless transmitter to transition between a first operating mode and a second operating mode in response to receiving signals from the accelerometer indicating a first change in motion states of the remote access device. The control circuitry causes the wireless transmitter to transition between a first operating mode and a second operating mode in response to receiving signals from the accelerometer indicating a second change in motion states of the remote access device. The control circuitry further causes the wireless transmitter to transition between the first operating mode and the second operating mode in response to receiving signals from the accelerometer indicating a third change in motion states of the remote access device.
METHOD OF DRIVING A COMPONENT OF A VEHICLE, SYSTEM, COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
Driving a component of a vehicle by using a portable user identification device for the vehicle and an user identification unit of the vehicle, whereat a controller evaluates an identifying signal sent by a transmitter of the portable user identification device to a receiver of the user identification unit and the controller drives the component of the vehicle according to the evaluation of the identifying signal. In order to provide a higher level of security by driving a component of a vehicle by using a portable user identification device for a vehicle, to a point of time t.sub.n a position of the portable user identification device relative to a position of the portable user identification device to a point of time t.sub.n=t.sub.l, to which the portable user identification device is departing from the vehicle, is determined and stored in a memory on a regular basis.
MOBILE DEVICE AND AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM
A mobile device for an authentication system that performs authentication to control an authentication target with code verification via near field wireless communication, includes: an acceleration sensor; a communication portion that performs the near field wireless communication with an antenna of the authentication target; a reception stop portion that stops reception operation of the communication portion; a fault detection portion that detects a failure in the acceleration sensor; and an operation change portion that prevents the reception stop portion from stopping the reception operation.
Remote control device and vehicle including the same
A remote control device for a vehicle includes a vibration sensor sensing vibration of the remote control device; a communication unit performing communication with the vehicle; and a controller changing an operation mode of the remote control device based on a first signal received from the vehicle via the communication unit.
Power supply control module
A power supply control module includes a first sheet portion, a second sheet portion, a wireless communication unit, a switch unit and a controller. The controller configured to cause the switch unit to switch between a closed state and an opened state based on the result of communication performed by the wireless communication unit, the closed state being a state in which a first cell side electrode layer and a terminal side electrode layer are electrically connected to each other and the opened state being a state in which the first cell side electrode layer and the terminal side electrode layer are electrically disconnected from each other.
