System to prevent car crash at intersection with active surveillance
A vehicle collision warning and avoidance system including a vehicle that includes one or more sensors, one or more cameras configured with an extended rod to monitor the exact location and the speed of the other vehicles to monitor for a collision condition, and visual monitoring display system configured to emit a warning signal to warn a vehicle driver about the collision condition, the internal warning signal system including at least one warning device configured to emit the warning signal, and a processor configured to detect an exit condition using a signal received from the one or more sensors and the one or more cameras in response to the collision condition.
FLEXIBLE HUB FOR HANDLING MULTI-SENSOR DATA
A hub that receives sensor data streams and then distributes the data streams to the various systems that use the sensor data. A demultiplexer (demux) receives the streams, filters out undesired streams and provides desired streams to the proper multiplexer (mux) or muxes of a series of muxes. Each mux combines received streams and provides an output stream to a respective formatter or output block. The formatter or output block is configured based on the destination of the mux output stream, such as an image signal processor, a processor, memory or external transmission. The output block reformats the received stream to a format appropriate for the recipient and then provides the reformatted stream to that recipient.
VEHICLE SURROUNDING AREA MONITORING DEVICE, VEHICLE SURROUNDING AREA MONITORING METHOD, VEHICLE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM FOR THE VEHICLE SURROUNDING AREA MONITORING DEVICE
A vehicle surrounding area monitoring device comprises a processor including a top perspective view image producing section taking images of a surrounding area of a vehicle and synthesizing the images into a top perspective view image and displaying the top perspective view image on a display. The processor further includes a vehicle running direction information receiving section receiving information on a direction in which the vehicle is running from a control device to control the vehicle to run frontward or rearward. The top perspective view image producing section produces a frontward top perspective view image of the vehicle and the surrounding area seen from a viewing point upward and rearward of the vehicle when the vehicle is running frontward and a rearward top perspective view image of the vehicle and the surrounding area seen from another viewing point upward and frontward of the vehicle when the vehicle is running rearward.
DISPLAY DEVICE FOR VEHICLE AND PARKING ASSIST SYSTEM
A display device for a vehicle includes: a plurality of imaging units configured to capture images around the vehicle; an image compositing unit configured to composite the images captured by the imaging units to generate a composite image; an image display unit configured to display the composite image generated by the image compositing unit; and an acquiring unit configured to acquire information about an object around the vehicle. The imaging units are arranged such that imaging areas thereof overlap with each other. The image compositing unit is configured to set a boundary between the captured images in the composite image such that the boundary is provided in a part where the imaging areas of the imaging units overlap with each other. In a case where the acquiring unit acquires the information about the object, the image compositing unit changes the boundary.
Vehicle and Method of Controlling the Same
A vehicle includes a camera unit disposed in the vehicle to have a plurality of channels and configured to obtain an image around the vehicle, the camera unit including one or more cameras, a sensing device including an ultrasonic sensor, the sensing device configured to obtain distance information between an object and the vehicle, and a controller configured to match a part of the image around the vehicle with at least one mask, form map information based on the at least one mask and the distance information, determine at least one control point based on the map information, and obtain the image around the vehicle based on a priority of the camera unit corresponding to a surrounding type of the vehicle determined based on the control point.
VEHICULAR CONTROL SYSTEM WITH TRAILERING ASSIST FUNCTION
A vehicular control system includes a rear backup camera viewing at least rearward of the vehicle. With a trailer hitched to the vehicle, and based at least in part on image processing of captured image data during a backing-up maneuver, the image processor determines a distance between an axle of the trailer and the hitch of the vehicle and determines a trailer angle of the trailer hitched to the vehicle. During the backing-up maneuver of the trailer hitched to the vehicle, the vehicular control system determines a path of the trailer responsive to (i) a steering angle of the vehicle, (ii) the determined trailer angle of the trailer and (iii) the determined distance between the axle of the trailer and the hitch of the vehicle. The vehicular control system displays information to assist the driver in backing up the trailer hitched to the vehicle.
Vehicular vision system with dual processor control
A vehicular vision system includes a plurality of cameras including a forward viewing camera and multiple color cameras, and includes a display device operable to display video images derived from image data captured by the color cameras. A processing unit includes a first processing chip that has an image processor for machine-vision processing of captured image data, and a second processing chip that receives vehicle data and receives image data captured by the color cameras. The first processing chip machine-vision processes image data captured by the cameras for object detection and classification of objects. The first processing chip controls operating parameters of the color cameras to enhance object detection based on machine-vision processing by the first processing chip of image data captured by the color cameras. The second processing chip controls operating parameters of the color cameras for display at the display device of video images.
VEHICULAR VISION SYSTEM THAT PROVIDES CAMERA OUTPUTS TO RECEIVERS USING REPEATER ELEMENT
A vehicular vision system includes a camera and a repeater element at a vehicle. The repeater element is powered at least in part via power-over-coax and includes a de-serializer, a repeater and at least two serializers. The camera captures image data and outputs a camera output that includes serialized image data. The camera output is received at the repeater element and is de-serialized via the de-serializer to generate a de-serialized output. The de-serialized output is provided to the repeater and at least two repeater outputs are provided to the serializers. The serializers serialize the received repeater outputs to generate respective serialized outputs. The serializers each output the respective serialized output to a respective receiver of the vehicle. Each of the serialized outputs is representative of the serialized image data of the camera output received from the camera.
Parking support method and parking support device
A method of displaying parking assist information is used in a parking assist apparatus comprising a display and a control device. The control device detects a first parking space that satisfies a predefined parking condition. When information of selecting a second parking space other than the first parking space is input, the control device re-detects a parking space that satisfies the predefined parking condition as the first parking space.
