Physically secured device for vehicle intrusion detection
A vehicle theft-prevention apparatus can include a slip clutch mechanism, a locking mechanism, and a cylindrical body including a first portion and a second portion. The first portion can be configured to rotate about the second portion. The locking mechanism can be configured to engage based on rotation of the first portion relative to the second portion in a first direction, and disengage based on a rotation of the first portion relative to the second portion in a second direction. The slip clutch mechanism can be configured to prevent the locking mechanism from further engaging from rotation in the first direction relative to the second portion based on a magnitude of force applied.
WEARABLE KEY DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC KEY SYSTEM
A wearable key device is to be used while being worn on a predetermined position of a body and includes a ring communication module, an imaging device, and a ring controller. The ring communication module is configured to wirelessly communicate with an authentication device provided to a predetermined protection object. The imaging device is configured to capture an image of the predetermined position of the body. The ring controller is configured to acquire wearer information that is biometric information of a wearer who wears the wearable key device based on the image captured by the imaging device. The wearer information is used for determining whether the wearer is an authorized user.
Access arrangement for a vehicle
An access arrangement for a vehicle comprises a vehicle-side unlocking device for actuating an unlocking mechanism and a vehicle-side rechargeable electrical energy storage device configured to supply the unlocking device with energy. Furthermore, it comprises a vehicle-side charged electrical energy storage device configured to charge the vehicle-side rechargeable electrical energy storage device. The access arrangement further comprises a charging control device for controlling the charging process of the vehicle-side rechargeable electrical energy storage device by the vehicle-side charged electrical energy storage device. Finally, it comprises a vehicle-side authentication device for checking an access authorization and for controlling the charging control device depending on the checking of the access authorization. By providing an energy storage device which is already charged, independent of the vehicle electrical system, unlocking can be carried out quickly in the event of failure of the vehicle electrical system in an emergency running state.
Smart key emulation for vehicles
Techniques are disclosed for permitting a person to keylessly start a vehicle using a machine-sensible item such as his/her mobile device without requiring the person to possess a smart key.
VEHICLE INHIBITOR
Aspects of the present disclosure generally pertain to a vehicle inhibitor with an enhanced user interface and a system and method for overriding a vehicle inhibitor. This disclosure may be useful for providing an emergency override function for vehicle loan repayment enforcement systems that have wireless user interface modules, and that have become lost or inoperable when needed to generate an emergency override signal. Further, the present disclosure addresses this problem while mitigating additional system cost and additional components. This disclosure includes a method of providing an emergency override function for vehicle loan repayment enforcement systems that have wireless user interface modules, and that have become lost or inoperable when needed to generate an emergency override signal. Further this disclosure includes a method of providing a disablement override function for vehicle loan repayment enforcement systems, wired or wireless, that allows vehicle operation past the grace period in those locations where complete disablement may be limited.
SECURITY SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
The invention relates to a security system (1) for a vehicle (2), in particular for integration into the vehicle (2), for locating a mobile device (10) in a surrounding area of the vehicle (2), comprising a transceiver arrangement (100) for providing vehicle communication (FK) of the vehicle (2) with at least one other vehicle (2) in the surrounding area, a processing arrangement (200) for performing the localization of the mobile device (10) at least partially on the basis of the vehicle communication (FK).
Anti-theft license plate display and secure storage system
An anti-theft license plate display and secure storage device may be provided by a lockable security vault with a first sensor sensing the presence of a vehicle access component within the vault while a communication interface is operable to transmit vault location and locked status signals along with a vehicle access component presence status signal and receive at least an authenticated unlocking command to unlock the vault allowing a user to retrieve the vehicle access component when stored therein with a beacon also periodically or continuously announcing the vehicle access component presence status outside the vault for receipt by a mobile communication device passing by within a predetermined range.
Mobile Device-Enhanced Rental Vehicle Returns
A number of techniques are disclosed for making it more convenient and efficient for customers to conduct various rental vehicle transactions. As an example, a technique for performing an automated pickup of a rental vehicle using a mobile device is disclosed. As another example, a technique for performing an automated return administration of a rental vehicle using a mobile device is disclosed. As another example, a technique for permitting customer to select a particular rental vehicle for a rental vehicle transaction using a mobile device is disclosed. Also disclosed is a technique for permitting a customer to keylessly start a rental vehicle using a machine-sensible item such as his/her mobile device without requiring the customer to possess a smart key.
Vehicle system and control method thereof
A vehicle system may include a vehicle configured to store a public key of the vehicle and a private key of the vehicle; a portable terminal configured to store the public key of the vehicle, a public key of the portable terminal, and a private key of the portable terminal; and a server configured to generate a token and encrypt the token with the public key of the vehicle and the public key of the portable terminal.
AUTHENTICATION READER FOR MOTOR VEHICLE OPENING ELEMENT
Disclosed is an authentication reader intended to be installed on a motor vehicle opening element, the reader including a microcontroller, at least one transmitter, at least one matching circuit and a single antenna, called primary antenna, characterized by a working frequency. The matching circuit includes switching element able to switch the matching circuit between a first mode, in which the matching circuit makes it possible to match the primary antenna to a secondary antenna of an authentication device whose resonant frequency is lower than the working frequency, and a second mode, in which the matching circuit makes it possible to match the primary antenna to a secondary antenna of an authentication device whose resonant frequency is higher than the working frequency.
