System and method for anti-tampering mechanism
The present teaching relates to method, system, medium, and implementations for detecting sensor tampering. Information is received from an inertial measurement unit (IMU) attached to a structure hosting at least one sensor. The information includes one or more measurements associated with the IMU. The at least one sensor is deployed on a vehicle for sensing surrounding information to facilitate autonomous driving. The one or more measurements are analyzed with respect to pre-determined criteria to detect tampering of the at least one sensor. When the tampering is detected, a response is generated to the event.

The system may include a group of devices having a processor and a data store that are connected to a network. The computerized monitoring apparatus senses that vehicle ignition is on, a person is in the driver's seat, and there is a person or another animal in a location in the vehicle other than the driver's seat, then senses that the ignition is switched off, then senses that there is no person in the driver's seat, and then sends an alert to the cellular telephone.
METHOD FOR STARTING VEHICLE AND RELATED DEVICE
A method for starting a vehicle and a related device. The method includes: A server sends first security information and second security information to a mobile terminal and a telematics box respectively through an encrypted secure transmission channel or an encrypted secure transmission protocol, so that the telematics box can verify, by using the first security information and the second security information, a vehicle start instruction sent by the mobile terminal. When the verification succeeds, the telematics box controls the vehicle to start. The method help to avoid plaintext transmission of the security information between the mobile terminal and the telematics box, thereby avoiding leakage of the security information, and reducing a risk that the vehicle is maliciously started. In addition, a transmission process of the security information may not be restricted by a distance between the vehicle and the mobile terminal.

Systems for shared vehicle access
To utilize a shared vehicle, a user can request access to the vehicle, which results in the generation of a virtual key. The virtual key is provided to a plurality of different devices, such as a vehicle device at the vehicle, and a user device in the possession of the user. METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TRIGGERING A FUNCTION IN A VEHICLE
A method is for activating a vehicle function, wherein a controller for activating the vehicle function checks an access authorization of the mobile device and activates the vehicle function only if the authorization is acceptable. The method includes: a) the controller sending a request to the mobile device demanding transmission of the authorization for a vehicle function, b) the mobile device receiving the request from the controller and sending the authorization to the controller, c) the controller checking the authorization and activates the vehicle function if the authorization is acceptable, d) the mobile device sending the authorization only if the device was previously actuated for the purpose of authorization and thus was authorized to send the authorization, e) and the controller activating the vehicle function only if a signal of a sensor device actuatable by the user has previously been received by the controller.
METHOD OF PROXIMITY DETECTION BETWEEN TWO DEVICES
The method of proximity detection between a first and a second device (DVC1, DVC2), carried out by the first device (DVC1), comprises the steps of collecting a first information on exposure of the first device (DVC1) to electromagnetic waves; receiving a second information on exposure of the second device (DVC2) to electromagnetic waves from the second device (DVC2); determining a matching information between the first information on exposure and the second information on exposure and detecting either proximity or non-proximity between the first and the second device (DVC1, DVC2) based on the matching information.
