A PHYSICAL KEY FOR PROVISIONING A COMMUNICATION DEVICE WITH DATA ALLOWING IT TO ACCESS A VEHICLE RESOURCE
This invention relates to a physical key for provisioning a communication device with data allowing said communication device to access a vehicle resource by operating remotely a vehicle lock system in which a first cryptographic key called master key is stored, comprising a secure enclave also storing the master key, the physical key being configured to: establish a communication link with the communication device; derive by the secure enclave a second cryptographic key called derived key from the master key; transmit to the communication device via the secure communication link the derived key for enabling the communication device to answer a security challenge from the vehicle lock system and the vehicle lock system to verify said answer, the access to the vehicle resource being allowed if the answer is successfully verified.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A COMMUNICATION DEVICE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
The disclosure relates to a method for operating a communication device of a motor vehicle. A sensor device captures an identification feature, on the basis of which a user of a user profile stored in a motor-vehicle-external data server apparatus is identifiable, for example a feature of a mobile terminal of the user or of the user, for example a fingerprint. On the basis of the captured identification feature, an identification device of the motor vehicle establishes an identity of the user. Depending on the established identity, the identification device establishes an access code for the user profile of the user, wherein the at least one access code is stored in a database, and the established access code is used to enable the ascertained user profile for the communication apparatus.
ELECTRONIC KEY SYSTEM
An electronic key system determines that legitimate communication has been performed on the basis of conditions including that a measured distance from a ranging request unit to a ranging response unit measured on the basis of a ranging request signal and a ranging response signal is within a threshold range that is set on the basis of the distance from a communication area of a transmission antenna where an electronic key is determined to be located by a key location determination unit to one of either the ranging request unit or the ranging response unit that is provided in an on-board device.
Virtual keyfob for vehicle sharing
A system and method of managing virtual vehicle keys includes: receiving at a central facility a request to use a vehicle; receiving an identifier of a handheld wireless device at the central facility; generating at the central facility a virtual vehicle key that permits vehicle access using the handheld wireless device; and wirelessly transmitting the virtual vehicle key to the handheld wireless device and a vehicle the handheld wireless device has authorization to access.

Integrated vehicular remote starting interrupter
A system and method of remotely enabling and disabling the starting of one or more vehicles using hardware components installed within a case and a data processing device (DPD), such as a smart phone, in logical communication with one of the vehicle and the case via a WAN, wherein an ignition request is relayed via the WAN to server which parses the ignition request into one or more encrypted ignition instructions, each encrypted ignition instruction sent to a separate vehicle exclusively associated with the encrypted ignition instruction.
Method and system for vehicle anti-theft authentication, storage medium, and vehicle
The disclosure relates to the field of vehicles, and particularly, to a method and system for vehicle anti-theft authentication, a storage medium, and a vehicle including the system. The method includes the following steps: determining whether key information in a vehicle key matches preset information; performing primary anti-theft authentication between a vehicle body controller and a gateway in a case of matching, to determine whether to activate a vehicle basic function; and performing secondary anti-theft authentication between the gateway and a power controller in a case of meeting a preset condition, to determine whether to activate a vehicle driving function, where the preset condition includes that the vehicle basic function has been activated.
Secure Key Acknowledgement - Frequency Dilution
An embodiment of the invention provides a system for securely establishing a connection between a key and a receiver within or connected to, a vehicle such as, but not limited to, a car/motorized vehicle, a boat/vessel or a house. The key establishes contact to the receiver by sending a radio transmission. The receiver will respond, upon receipt of incoming transmission, with a message containing a pattern of multiple (2 or more) frequencies the key must transmit information on sequentially to allow for the receiver to do certain actions based on information transmitted by the key such as, but not limited to, turning on ignition, starting engine, switching relays.
System and Method for Combining a Wireless Device, Such as a Key or Other Device with a Wireless Kill Switch
An embodiment of the invention provides a system and or method for combining wireless kill switch functionality and key either mechanical or wireless or other form of access control components. Embodiments of the invention comprise hardware including but not limited to, processing circuitry and wireless transceiver to fulfill the function as both a key or access control device and wireless kill switch.
System and Method for Wirelessly Linking Electronic Components and/or Sensors Using Sub-1 GHz Frequencies (700-1000 MHz) for Long Range, Robustness in Wet Environment and Highly Resistant to Wireless Noise
An embodiment of the invention provides a system and method for wirelessly linking electronic marine components using Sub-1 GHz frequencies for long range, robustness in wet environment and highly resistant to wireless noise.
