Methods for locking and/or unlocking electric vehicle and associated apparatus
The present disclosure relates to apparatus and methods for locking and/or unlocking a vehicle based on a location of a mobile device associated with the vehicle. In one embodiment a processor in a vehicle analyzes a position of a mobile device relative to the vehicle and allows the vehicle to be unlocked when the mobile device is determined to be approaching the vehicle.
Systems and methods for tamper evident electronic detection
Systems and methods are directed to detecting tampering with a secured area of an autonomous vehicle. In one example, a computing system performs operations including generating a first key pair comprising a first private key and a first public key as part of a vehicle registration process; providing the first public key to one or more remote computing systems; determining whether a reset event occurred at a vehicle; in response to determining that the reset event occurred, discarding the first key pair and generating a second key pair comprising a second private key and a second public key; receiving a status query from one of the one or more remote computing systems; generating a response to the status query, the response being signed using either the first private key or the second private key; and providing the response to the one of the one or more remote computing systems.
Frunk delivery system for vehicles
A front trunk (frunk) delivery system is disclosure for a vehicle. For one embodiment, the delivery system includes a vehicle trunk at a front portion of the vehicle. The system includes a vehicle trunk lid covering the vehicle trunk. The system includes a bar code at the vehicle. The bar code is to be captured by a mobile device of a first user to remotely operate the vehicle trunk lid for the vehicle trunk to deliver or retrieve (for returns) a delivery parcel/package. The first user can be a third party delivery operator such as a USPS or an Amazon delivery operator.
System and method for authenticating a connection between a user device and a vehicle using physical layer features
A method for authenticating a connection between a user device and a vehicle includes sending, by the vehicle, a first wireless signal through a connection channel, receiving, by the vehicle, a second wireless signal through the connection channel, and acquiring, by the vehicle, a second signal strength sequence from second N continuous signal strength characteristics (PF.sub.Veh) of the second wireless signal, receiving, by the user device from the vehicle, the first wireless signal, acquiring a first signal strength sequence from first N continuous signal strength characteristics (PF.sub.UDev) of the first wireless signal, and communicating, by the user device, the first signal strength sequence to the vehicle.
Keyed-alike phone-based keys
A keyed-alike digital consumer access key is generated for distribution to a plurality of vehicles of a fleet. The keyed-alike digital consumer access key is deployed to the plurality of vehicles. The keyed-alike digital consumer access key is deployed to a mobile device. A request from a mobile device may be received to gain access to the plurality of vehicles. Responsive to validating the mobile device, the mobile device may be sent the keyed-alike digital consumer access key and a unique identifier corresponding to the mobile device, the keyed-alike digital consumer access key for use by the mobile device in authentication to one or more of the plurality of vehicles, the unique identifier for use by the mobile device in tracking which mobile device is accessing the one or more of the plurality of vehicles.
AUTHENTICATION DEVICE, VEHICLE, AUTHENTICATION METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM STORING AN AUTHENTICATION PROGRAM
An authentication device including:a processor; a first communication section installed at a vehicle and configured to perform first wireless communication with a terminal; and a plurality of second communication sections installed at the vehicle and configured to perform second wireless communication with the terminal, the processor being configured to: compute a distance and an angle of a position of the terminal with respect to the first communication section based on the first wireless communication of the first communication section with the terminal; cause a second communication section that, out of the plurality of second communication sections, corresponds to the computed angle, to execute the second wireless communication with the terminal; and determine, based on the executed second wireless communication and the computed distance, whether or not the terminal is present in an area corresponding to the second communication section executing the second wireless communication.
Vehicle unlocking authentication method and apparatus based on terminal device
The present disclosure relates to the technical field of vehicles and discloses a vehicle unlocking authentication method and apparatus based on a terminal device, including: receiving an authentication request sent by a terminal device, to obtain a device fingerprint and a first authentication code; searching for a prestored service key corresponding to the device fingerprint, and calculating and obtaining a second authentication code according to the device fingerprint and the service key; determining a third authentication code and a fourth authentication code based on the first authentication code, the second authentication code, the device fingerprint, and the service key to complete the vehicle unlocking authentication by the terminal device. Implementing the embodiments of the present disclosure can improve the safety for transmitting data during the process of authentication between the vehicle and the terminal device.
Method for operating authentication system and authentication system
A vehicle authentication system for authenticating a portable ID transmitter with respect to an authentication arrangement of a vehicle in order to release vehicle functions for an operator, includes a portable ID transmitter that has at least one ID transmitter-UWB-antenna. The authentication device has at least one first vehicle-UWB-interface having one first UWB antenna and a second vehicle-UWB interface with a second UWB-antenna. Control for the authentication device are also provided so that an authentication method can be carried out. Optionally, the authentication system can also include LF interfaces with LF antennas and proximity sensors.
Concept for Provision of a Key Signal or an Immobilizer Signal for a Vehicle
A method for a device for a vehicle is disclosed, wherein the device comprises a key chip. The method comprises obtaining information relating to the release of a key signal or of an immobilizer signal from a central computer via a wireless mobile communication system. The method further comprises providing a control signal to the key chip based on the information relating to the release of the key signal or of the immobilizer signal, wherein the control signal is designed to allow the key chip to generate the key signal or the immobilizer signal. The method further comprises providing the key signal and/or the immobilizer signal, by the key chip, via a wireless communication link to a central locking system and/or an immobilizer system of the vehicle after the control signal is obtained.
Method and system for using a wireless mobile device as a smart key
A computer device associated with a vehicle pairs during an initial/setup pairing process with a UE device according to a wireless protocol. The devices exchange and store cryptographic information during pairing. Later, either device may detect/discover that the other is currently in its presence. Presence discovery may trigger the vehicle device to generate and broadcast an operational request message based on the cryptographic information, such as a public key of the UE, stored in the vehicle device. The UE receives the request, and transmits in response a vehicle operation permission message that it generates based on user input and cryptographic information, such as a public key of the vehicle device, stored by the UE during initial/setup pairing. The operational request message may be transmitted as an audio signal and received by a microphone of the UE. The vehicle device receives the permission message and generates an operation instruction based thereon.
