SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DATA STORAGE IN KEYED DEVICES
A content storage system integrates with locking, engine, and other control systems in a vehicle. The system includes a portable storage device comprising a processor, a storage module in electronic communication with the processor, and a wireless communication module. A wireless device is in electronic communication with the wireless communication module of the portable storage device. A transponder is installed in a vehicle configured to transmit a signal on a wire. The wireless device detects the signal on the wire from the transponder and stores the signal. The wireless device is transmits the signal on the wire in response to a command from the portable storage device.
Vehicle communication system, vehicle-mounted device, and portable device
A vehicle communication system includes a vehicle-mounted device and a portable device. In the vehicle communication system, a transmission unit transmits a first to third radio signals having intensities weaker in this order, a measurement unit measures an intensity of each of the radio signals, and a determination unit that determines whether an intensity difference between any two of the radio signals among the radio signals measured by the measurement unit is larger than a threshold value. Control of a target mounted on the vehicle is permitted if the intensity difference is larger than the threshold value.
ELECTRONIC KEY MANAGEMENT DEVICE, ELECTRONIC KEY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, ELECTRONIC KEY MANAGEMENT METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An electronic key management device includes a generator (152, 153) configured to generate at least one of a first execution key and a second execution key for obtaining a permission for transiting to a registration mode for registering an electronic key of a vehicle in an in-vehicle authentication device or to an invalidation mode for invalidating the electronic key registered in the in-vehicle authentication device, in response to a predetermined request, and a communication controller (154) configured to transmit the first execution key generated by the generator to a first terminal device, and transmit the second execution key generated by the generator to a second terminal device that is a terminal device different from the first terminal device and is registered in advance as a terminal device of an authorized owner.
ONBOARD AUTHENTICATION DEVICE, AUTHENTICATION METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An onboard authentication device (60) includes: a communication unit (62) configured to receive key information; an existing electronic key determining unit (65C) configured to determine whether the key information received by the communication unit matches registered information; and an execution unit (65D, 65F) configured to execute a registration process of registering a second electronic key in the onboard authentication device or an invalidation process of invalidating the first electronic key registered in the onboard authentication device at a first time in a case that the existing electronic key determining unit determines the received key information matches the key information of the first electronic key and to execute the registration process or the invalidation process at a second time later than the first time in a case that the existing electronic key determining unit determines the received key information does not match the key information of the first electronic key.
Vehicle control device
A vehicle control device comprises a drive device configured to enable application of a driving force to a vehicle in an actuation state. The vehicle control device executes remote operation control of controlling the drive device in accordance with a wireless signal transmitted from a portable terminal present outside the vehicle, to thereby cause the vehicle to move to a predetermined target stop position. The vehicle control device maintains the drive device in the actuation state after an arrival time being a time at which the vehicle arrives at the target stop position, and invalidates the operation on the accelerator even when the accelerator is operated in a period from the arrival time to a cancellation condition satisfaction time at which a cancellation condition by which a fact that a user holding legitimate qualification has gotten in the vehicle can be confirmed is satisfied.
DISTRIBUTION DEVICE, RESCUE SYSTEM, METHOD OF CONTROLLING DISTRIBUTION DEVICE, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A distribution device includes a server device configured to distribute key information to a portable terminal. The key information is used for a key system that determines whether or not to lock and unlock a vehicle when the vehicle receives the key information transmitted from the portable terminal to the vehicle. The server device is configured to receive a rescue signal and positional information of the vehicle transmitted from the vehicle in a case where a state in a vehicle cabin of the vehicle is a predetermined rescue needing state. The server device is configured to, when the server device receives the rescue signal, search for a nearby terminal based on the positional information of the vehicle, and transmit the key information of the vehicle, the positional information of the vehicle, and an issue command of an alarm signal to the portable terminal searched for as the nearby terminal.
SECURE TELEMATICS
A telematics system that includes a security controller is provided. The security controller is responsible for ensuring secure access to and controlled use of resources in the vehicle. The security measures relied on by the security controller can be based on digital certificates that grant rights to certificate holders, e.g., application developers. In the case in which applications are to be used with vehicle resources, procedures are implemented to make sure that certified applications do not jeopardize vehicle resources' security and vehicle users' safety. Relationships among interested entities are established to promote and support secure vehicle resource access and usage. The entities can include vehicle makers, communication service providers, communication apparatus vendors, vehicle subsystem suppliers, application developers, as well as vehicle owners/users. At least some of the entities can be members of a federation established to enhance and facilitate secure access and usage of vehicle resources.
Vehicle control system and vehicle
A vehicle control system comprises a portable terminal and a vehicle including a communication device and a drive device. When the drive device is in a non-actuation state and the communication device is in an inactivated state, the vehicle changes a state of the communication device from the inactivated state to an activated state when an activation condition is satisfied. The activation condition is satisfied when a user holding legitimate qualification exists within a communication possible range. When the drive device is in the non-actuation state, the vehicle changes the state of the communication device from the activated state to the inactivated state when an activation stop condition is satisfied. The activation stop condition is satisfied when an activation period in which the communication device is in the activated state reaches a predetermined period.
Method and apparatus for vehicle and mobile device coordination
A system includes a processor configured to receive vehicle GPS coordinates. The processor is also configured to compare the received GPS coordinates to known device coordinates. Further, the processor is configured to page a vehicle computing system, requesting connection, if the vehicle coordinates and the known device coordinates are within a predetermined proximity and connect to the vehicle upon receipt of a response message from the vehicle.
Vehicle tracking unit for controlling operable vehicle devices using a vehicle data bus and related methods
A vehicle tracking unit is provided for a vehicle of a type comprising a vehicle data bus extending throughout the vehicle and at least one operable vehicle device connected thereto. The at least one operable vehicle device may be responsive to at least one data bus code on the vehicle data bus. The vehicle tracking unit may include a vehicle position determining device, a wireless communications device, and a controller cooperating with the vehicle position determining device and the wireless communications device to send vehicle position information to a monitoring station. Moreover, the controller may generate the at least one data bus code on the vehicle data communications bus to control the at least one operable vehicle device based upon a command signal received by the wireless device.
