A motorcycle (1) including: a supporting structure; at least two wheels (2,3) constrained to the supporting structure; a traction engine (4) constrained to the supporting structure and a transmission system (5) adapted to transmit the motion from the traction engine (4) to at least one (3) of the two wheels (2,3); a storage container (10) fixed to the supporting structure having an internal compartment (11) and a closing device (12) movable with respect to the supporting structure between a closing position and an opening position in order to prevent the access to the internal compartment (11) in the closing position and to allow the access to the internal compartment (11) in the opening position; an ignition key (60). The motorcycle (1) includes an electronic device (61) adapted to detect the presence or absence of the ignition key (60) inside the storage container (10).

SADDLE-TYPE VEHICLE
20190100276 · 2019-04-04 ·

A saddle-type vehicle includes a helmet and an occupant authentication device configured to perform authentication of an occupant by a small camera (an imaging element) provided in the helmet. The occupant authentication device releases lock on the vehicle if the occupant is authenticated.

Wireless authentication device for saddle-type vehicle

A wireless authentication device for a saddle-type vehicle performs authentication through wireless communication with a mobile terminal carried by a user. The wireless authentication device for a saddle-type vehicle includes a first operating input device, a light-emitting and notification part, and a controller. The first operating input device receives an operation of switching to a state in which a power engine is capable of being started. The light-emitting and notification part is provided in the first operating input device or in a portion surrounding the first operating input device, and performs a light-emitting and notification operation in which light is emitted to notify a user that authentication has succeeded. The controller determines whether authentication has succeeded through wireless communication with a mobile terminal, and if the authentication has been determined to have succeeded, causes the light-emitting and notification part to perform the light-emitting and notification operation.

Wireless authentication device for saddle-type vehicle

A wireless authentication device includes a first operating input device, a locking mechanism, and a controller. The first operating input device receives an operation of a power engine to a startable state by being shifted from a first position to a second position. The locking mechanism switches between locked and unlocked states, the locked state being a state that restricts the shift of the first operating input device from the first position to the second position, and the unlocked state being a state that allows the first operating input device to shift from the first position to the second position. The controller determines whether the mobile terminal is lost through wireless communication with the mobile terminal, and if the power engine has stopped while the mobile terminal has been determined to have been lost, performs processing for keeping the locking mechanism in the unlocked state during a restartable period.

LOCK APPARATUS AND VEHICLE USING THE SAME
20180345906 · 2018-12-06 ·

A lock apparatus includes a bracket, an engagement module, and an actuation module. The engagement module is supported in the bracket and has an engagement member configured to move to a first position or a second position in a first axial direction along the first axial direction. The actuation module is connected to the bracket and includes a pushing member. The actuation module drives the pushing member to move to a first position or a second position in the second axial direction along the second axial direction. When the pushing member is at the first position in the second axial direction, the engagement member is at the first position in the first axial direction. When the pushing member is at the second position in the second axial direction, the engagement member is at the second position in the first axial direction.

SYSTEMS FOR OPERATING A VEHICLE AND ASSOCIATED METHODS

The present disclosure relates to methods and associated systems for unlocking a vehicle. The vehicle has a first input device and a second input device. The method includes (1) receiving a passcode from the first input device; (2) receiving a confirmation of the passcode from the second input device; and (3) in response to the confirmation, storing the passcode in a storage device associated with the vehicle. The passcode is input by operating the first input device in a first predetermined way, and, the confirmation is input by operating the second input device in a second predetermined way.
